Real Prayer = Real Revival Text: Luke 18:1-8

If you could pray only one prayer what prayer would you pray?

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, 2 saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. 3 Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ 4 And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, 5 yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’”6 Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. 7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? 8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

Imagine prayer bringing revival making men afraid to open their mouths because of the judgment of God. Sinners crying out in the streets across America wanting salvation. Because of the prayers of the saints God sends a heaven sent revival. Drunkards, as they stood at the saloon bars, gamblers as they sat at the card tables, and drug users all surrendering unto Jesus Christ because of conviction!

Heaven sent revival will bring physical healing as well as emotional healing! God can speak to you about a job or the right spouse, and God can heal that broken heart, and save the lost soul!

Luke 18:1 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,

It stands to reason if you stop praying you will lose heart! Someone without a heart is a person without sensitivity and without compassion Matthew 9:4 Jesus said, But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?

Proverbs 3:1 My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.

Time and time again the Bible tells us to guard our heart; however, the only way to do this is through prayer!

Prayer is not only the key to survival, but it’s the key to revival!

Church growth expert, George Barna found that prayer was the foundational ministry of rapidly growing churches in America. He wrote: “The call to prayer [in these churches] was the battle cry of the congregation: it rallied the troops. These people understood the power of prayer. They actively and consistently included prayer in their services, in their events, their meetings and their personal ministries.”

When I came here Tuesday morning at 630am and prayed for one hour nothing special occurred, but Wednesday at 7pm when we came in this place you could feel God’s anointing. As I was thinking about this Thursday I thought about how God comes back and visits certain spots that you and me give over to Him in prayer! Think about what will happen in this place if we all make this place a God spot! (In Gen. 12-22 everywhere Abram traveled he built an altar!)

Luke 18:2-5 saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. 3 Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ 4 And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, 5 yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’”

The word ‘avenge’ means to give the exact something on behalf of somebody!

I can’t speak for anybody else, but I would rather have people with me that want to trouble God! ( Pray)

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Listen when you pray you are doing more than just relieving yourself of something, or just something that might make you feel better. As you pray you’re getting the mind of Christ. God even show’s you things about yourself. You’re finding the will of God; you’re hearing from the creator of the universe who takes time for you! Also, you are creating a God spot a place of contact; a meeting place!

God spoke a word of exhortation Wednesday night unto us. He said, “He saw our faith and He was pleased!” Who wants revival? Before God can bring true corporate revival God bring personal revival!
