Listen to the Women !!!

1 Peter 3:1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to

( or FAITHFUL to ) your own husbands;

Notes on 1 Peter 3:1

The word “subjection does not translate “under the authority of” here, it translates “faithful”.

Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife,

even as Christ is the head of the church:

Notes on Eph. 5:23

“head” translates “responsible for” or “provider”.

Not as in a chain of command. Its a " Marriage " not Military !!!

1 Corinthians 11:2-4 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the “ordinances”,

as I delivered them to you. 3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

4 Every man praying or prophesying,

having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.

Also the word “head” here has several meanings that need to be taken in context as the sentence progresses.

Example, “The man with the hat on his “head” is the “head” of the garden committee. He is at the “head of the road holding a “head” of lettuce.

So from these verses you may think that since the "husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church," that man is the spiritual head of the household. This is a role I think has been perverted. What happens when the man

is a new believer and his wife is a long-time Christian?

What about when a woman is a pastor called by God?

Being the spiritual head of the household doesn’t mean

being able to recite certain scripture to get your way.

Being the spiritual leader means keeping the well-being of your family, both spiritual and otherwise in prayer. Being the spiritual head of the household means loving your family as Jesus loved the church. It means sacrifice, being a servant, listening with your heart, being patient, loving unconditionally, forgiveness, teaching your family about God, and talking to God about our family; keeping them in prayer always. Then you are the Spiritual head !!!!!

Joel 2:28-29 And it shall come to pass afterward,

that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids

in those days will I pour out my spirit.

Acts 2:16-18 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days,

saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh:

and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

Matthew 28:1 Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the sepulchre. 5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus,

which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead;

Luke 1:13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed,

because thou believest not my words,

which shall be fulfilled in their season.

Luke 1:57 Elisabeth brought forth a son. 59 And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father. 60 And his mother answered and said, Not so;

but he shall be called John. 61 And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name.

62 And they made signs to his father, what he would have him called. 63 And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all.

64 And his mouth was opened immediately,

and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God.

Genesis 16:1 Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar. 2 And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.
