Message Point: Start the New Year right by getting your Kingdom priorities in line.

Focus Passage: Luke 10:38-42

Supplemental Passage: and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14 NASB)

Introduction: People make all kinds of resolutions for the New Year. Many don’t last through the month of January. The priorities that we should have as Christians should be in effect all year every year.

I. Seeking God

a. "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:33 NASB)

b. Holiness

c. God’s Word

II. Serving God

a. Find a place of service in God’s kingdom

(List places of service in your church; these are what was needed in mine at the time of writing.)

i. Child care

iii. Youth/children

iv. Food Pantry

v. Kitchen Director

b. Sharing the Good News

III. Loving Others

a. Forgiving one another

b. Serving/Helping one another

c. Sharing the Good News
