“My Father, if there is no other way, and I must suffer, I will still do what you want.” [CEV]
b. OUR CHALLENGE
I John 5:2 & 3 The test of our love for God’s family lies in this question––do we love God himself and do we obey his commands? 3 For loving God means obeying his commands, and these commands of his are not burdensome. [JBP]
If we love and obey God, we know that we will love his children. 3 We show our love for God by obeying his commandments, and they are not hard to follow. [CEV]
