SPEAK TO GOD’S POSSIBILITIES:
LET GOD ARISE!

We are studying Divine Possibilities:
1. Climb into God’s Envelope; 2. Accept the Mantle; 3. Starving at a feast; 4. Let God!
5. When an unforgiving preacher preaches forgiveness; 6. Rising above the Minimum;
7. Rising above the scars; 8. Every miracle starts with a problem! 9. Walking in Divine blessings;
10. Importunity/Determination

We are still treading in the realm of Divine Possibilities and we approach a very important
area for those that follow Jesus. Today we seldom reach above our potential and accept there is
more, there is the realm of Divine Possibilities! We must speak to this spiritual realm and reach
for God’s plan.
It is high time within the church that we speak blessing and release the Divine possibilities
that bring release. This is serious and we need to learn the power of blessing from the
Biblical point of view.
TEXT FOR THE SERIES:
Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him: IF THOU CANST BELIEVE, all things are possible to him that believes.
24. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said WITH TEARS, Lord, I believe; HELP THOU MINE UNBELIEF!
Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven,suffereth violence, AND THE VIOLENT TAKE IT BY FORCE.
I. INTRODUCTION
A. Years ago I lived in the most south west corner of Virginia. I taught school just out of Pennington Gap, Va. Lee County was very beautiful.
One day someone had stolen some goods that a delivery truck had left in front of a store. The store owner was busy, and they would carry in the delivery later.
Someone had stolen some of the delivery before the owner could get the goods under lock and key.
Just so happened another member of the community was driving up and saw a familiar family helping themselves to the goods. They threw what they could on their pickup truck and went home.
The witness reported what they had seen to the store owner, and the local Sheriff’s department was called. A report was made.
The Deputy Sheriff drove up to the house of the offenders and there on the porch in clear view was the unopened boxes of stolen goods.
The Deputy asked to speak to the Father, and the Father came to the door.
The Deputy asked the Father where had he purchased these goods and he would like to see a receipt?
The Father said, IT IS AMAZING HOW THE LORD SUPPLIES, AN ARMY HELICOPTER WAS FLYING OVER THIS PLACE, AND ALL THESE WONDERFUL GOODS FELL OUT RIGHT IN THEIR FRONT YARD.
Needless to say, the Father’s story did not convince the Law Enforcement Officer.
B. I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A SUGGESTION TO US HERE TODAY:
MANY TIMES WE ARE WAITING FOR GOD TO COME AND DROP PIE OUT OF THE SKY ON TO OUR WAITING TABLES, we have something to do to release our faith.
II. THE CHURCH IS MORE THAN A HOSPITAL, THE CHURCH IS A MIGHTY ARMY. IT IS HIGH TIME TO PULL DOWN THE STRONGHOLDS OF THE ENEMY.
Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven, suffereth violence, AND THE VIOLENT TAKE IT BY FORCE.
II CORINTHIANS 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.
A. DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THE HONEST LITTLE BOY?
A family went to church and the little boy really enjoyed the service so much.
But going home, the little boy listened as his Dad complained and complained.
The Dad told how slow and funeral like the singing was.
The Dad fell asleep several times during the service.
Then the Dad stated that the Preacher preached way too long, and beside that the Preacher sounded like he was mad and yelling.
The little boy unhooked his seat belt and leaned forward, then the little lad said:
"Dad, I don’t know what you expected for two cents?"
The little boy had seen the Dad drop two pennies in the offering plate when it went by him.
B. I think there is truth to this little statement:
BLESSED IS HE WHO EXPECTS NOTHING, FOR HE SHALL RECEIVE EXACTLY WHAT HE EXPECTED.
C. I think God wants us to arise and LET GOD ---
THOSE THAT SAY IT CAN’T BE DONE SHALL BE PASSED BY THOSE DOING IT!
III. I WOULD LIKE US TO SERIOUSLY PONDER WHAT IS THE HERITAGE OF THE LORD? THEN I WOULD LIKE YOU TO PONDER --- WHAT AM I LEAVING FOR OTHERS?
A. Do we STRETCH our potential? Do we reach for the realm of Divine Possibilities?
Are we so satisfied with where we are that we burp and lean back?
Have we allowed the history of past performance to dictate our vision to TUNNEL VISION?
B. WE HAVE A GREAT OPPORTUNITY AND A GREAT GOD BEFORE US!
When will we realize we are more than THERMOMETERS to measure the spiritual temperatures?
C. GOD HAS CALLED YOU, GOD HAS SET YOU ASIDE, WE ARE THERMOSTATS --- WE HAVE A CHOICE AND WE CAN PRAY AND CONTROL OUR ATTITUDE TOWARD THE STORMS AND TRIALS THAT WE WILL FACE.
D. WHAT WE CALL STORMS, TRIBULATIONS, AND TRIALS --- GOD CALLS OPPORTUNITY!
IV. WE MUST LET GOD --- ARISE TO RELEASE GOD TO ALLOW GOD’S POSSIBILITIES TO FREELY FLOW TO OUR NEEDS.
Psalms 68:1 LET GOD ARISE, LET HIS ENEMIES BE SCATTERED:
A. EVER HEARD OF LETTING THE CAT OUT OF THE BAG?
B. DEFINE LET:
*** to not hinder,
*** to not prevent,
*** to not delay,
*** to have no obstacles,
*** to cause to,
*** to make,
*** to give a release,
*** TO GIVE THE OPPORTUNITY
*** TO PERMIT TO ENTER
*** TO GIVE PERMISSION
***TO GIVE A CONTACT OUT.
C. GOD HAS THE CREATIVE POWER TO SPEAK AND RELEASE THE PLAN ---
Genesis 1:3 God said, LET there be light: and there was light.
D. MOSES DEMANDED PHARAOH LET GOD’S PEOPLE GO ---
Exodus 3:18 And NOW LET us go...
E. LET US GO --- WE CAN DO IT!
Numbers 13: 30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said,
LET US GO UP AT ONCE AND POSSESS IT: FOR WE ARE WELL ABLE TO OVERCOME!
F. LETTING GOD ARISE MINISTERS TO THE WHOLE FAMILY.
Joshua 2:18 Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of SCARLET THREAD in the window which thou DIDST LET US DOWN BY, and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren and all thy father’s household, home unto thee.
G. LET ME GO --- I SHALL FIND GOD AND HIS GRACE!
Ruth 2:2 And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, LET ME NOW GO TO THE FIELD, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I SHALL FIND GRACE. And Naomi said:
GO!
H. HANNAH LET GOD LOOSE IN A DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY!
1 Samuel 1:18 And Hannah said, LET THINE HANDMAID FIND GRACE IN THY SIGHT.
So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad!
I. LISTENING AND WAITING FOR GOD? DAVID INQUIRED OF THE LORD WHAT TO DO?
11 Samuel 5:24 And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that thou shalt bestir thyself, for THEN SHALL THE LORD GO OUT BEFORE THEE, to smite the host of the Philistines.
J. LET US REJOICE, BE GLAD AND MOVE IN PRAISE.
I Chron. 16:10 Glory ye in His Holy Name: LET the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. 11 Seek the Lord and His STRENGTH, seek His Face continually.
31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let the men say among the nations: THE LORD REIGNETH.
V. WHAT DOES THE NEW TESTAMENT SAY ABOUT LETTING GOD?
A. THIS LITTLE LIGHT OF MINE? I AM GOING TO LET IT SHINE.
Matthew 5:16 LET your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
B. LET US PERCEIVE, LISTEN, AND UNDERSTAND.
Matthew 13:9 Who hath ears to hear, LET him hear.
C. LET THE BLACK ROBE ALONE! WHO MADE YOU A JUDGE?
John 8:7 So when they continued asking Jesus, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, LET him first cast a stone at her.
D. LET US MOVE IN SELF CONTROL, NOT THE FLESH.
Romans 13:13 LET us walk honestly, as in the day; not rioting and drunkenness (out of control), not chambering (hiding behavior in closed places) and
wantonness, (hard to control, lust, no mercy, unruly, being without check or boundaries.)
not in strife (quarreling, fighting) and envying.
E. LET US EDIFY AND ENCOURAGE.
(Build up, improve)
Romans 14:19 LET us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
F. LET US ADVANCE IN OUR COURSE OF ACTION.
Gal. 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, LET US ALSO WALK IN THE SPIRIT.
G. THERE IS A PEACE THAT PASSES UNDERSTANDING!
Col.3:15 And LET the peace of God rule in your hearts --- be ye thankful
VI. A TROUBLED HEART IS A CHOICE? !!!
LET IS VERY IMPORTANT TO RELEASE THE DIVINE POSSIBILITIES! YOU MUST CONTROL YOUR LET --- !
A. Let me give you a very quick English Lesson.
There are four kinds of sentences:
1. Declarative --- a statement, ends with a period. (.)
2. Interrogative --- asks a question, always ends with a question mark (?)
3. Exclamation --- states with excitement, ends with an exclamation mark. (!)
4. Imperative --- gives an order or command, can end with a period or an exclamation
mark. (., !) Often times the subject of an imperative command is YOU UNDERSTOOD.
B. JOHN 14:1 IS AN IMPERATIVE COMMAND!
It is in red letters where Jesus’ words are in red, JESUS SPOKE THESE WORDS.
C. John 14:1 Is an ORDER FROM HEADQUARTERS!
John 14:1 LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED: YE BELIEVE IN GOD, BELIEVE ALSO IN ME.
VII. GOD’S EYES ARE LOOKING FOR A PEOPLE THAT WILL LET THE WORD OF GOD DO THE WORK OF GOD!
Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven, suffereth violence, AND THE VIOLENT TAKE IT BY FORCE.
II Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, TO SHOW HIMSELF STRONG in behalf of them whose heart is perfect towards
Him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
A. Wars come because we don’t believe or accept the PROMISES of God can work for us.
There is a standing invitation, COME AND LET GOD ARISE, COME AND LET GOD’S PROMISES BE A WAY OF LIFE FOR US.
B. WILL YOU LET GOD?
If not you --- then who?
If not now --- then when?
If not here --- then where?
