SPEAK TO GOD’S POSSIBILITIES:
STARVING TO DEATH AT A FEAST?

We are studying Divine Possibilities:
1. Climb into God’s Envelope; 2. Accept the Mantle; 3. Starving at a feast; 4. Let God!
5. When an unforgiving preacher preaches forgiveness; 6. Rising above the Minimum;
7. Rising above the scars; 8. Every miracle starts with a problem! 9. Walking in Divine blessings;
10. Importunity/Determination fire!
We are still treading in the realm of Divine Possibilities and we approach a very important
area for those that follow Jesus. Today we seldom reach above our potential and accept there is
more, there is the realm of Divine Possibilities! We must speak to this spiritual realm and reach
for God’s plan.
It is high time within the church that we speak blessing and release the Divine possibilities
that bring release. This is serious and we need to learn the power of blessing from the
Biblical point of view.
TEXT:
Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him: IF THOU CANST BELIEVE, all things all possible to him that believes.
24. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said WITH TEARS, Lord, I believe; HELP THOU MINE UNBELIEF.
I. INTRODUCTION
A. Do we know our potential? Have we reached into the realm of Divine Possibilities?
I think not, we have dreamed, but our dreams are so small that we miss the potential of God.
B. Is God’s possibility beyond our hope?
Will we reach beyond here?
C. Faith can enlarge us beyond our limitations.
D. Sometimes our dreams and visions have not been accomplished and we quit dreaming and then we allow our menial daily life to dictate to our dreaming ability. God does not want us to limit our possibilities because we have tasted defeat.
E. Defeat and failure must drive us to a greater dream.
II Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, TO SHOW HIMSELF STRONG in behalf of them whose heart is perfect towards
Him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
F. Wars come because we don’t believe the PROMISES of God.
There is a standing invitation, come and let God’s promises be loosed in your daily walk.
G. There is a prophetic message: Blessed is he who expects nothing for he shall receive exactly what he expected.
II. DO WE BELIEVE IN DIVINE POSSIBILITIES?
I often say there are three important questions every believer must ask.
A. Question #1: Can God do this for me?
This is the entry level of faith. We must accept God can, or we might as well join some social club.
B. Question #2: Can God (will God) do this for me?
Few learn to dwell here in their faith.
Many can believe that God can, but they are never sure if God will for me.
C. Question #3: When will God do this for me?
Wow, what a deep level of faith is required to believe God can, God can for me, God can for me today.
Can we walk to the fiery furnace and trust God while we are feeling the heat?
D. Let me ask you: will you die fulfilled, or will you die hungry?
My spirit man cries loud, “GOD, I KNOW THERE IS MORE THAN THIS.”
I am very thankful for this, but can we all agree there is MORE?
E. SOME ONE HAS TO SEE THAT GOD KNOWS OUR CASE, AND GOD HAS A PLAN THAT WILL LOOSE A DIVINE POSSIBILITY, DELIVERANCE.
III. ARE WE WITH GOD?
A. I desire more than God with me, I desire to be WITH GOD!
B. DO WE ACCEPT GOD’S WORDS AS TRUTH?
THERE ARE TWO POWERS AT WORK IN A CHRISTIAN MIND:
BELIEF
UNBELIEF
C. You will loose one power today.
Each day you will make a daily choice. You are a sum total of your daily choices.
Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him: IF THOU CANST BELIEVE, all things all possible to him that believes.

D. FAITH IS MORE THAN SPEAKING WORDS. Real faith demands action.
Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove yonder place; and it shall be moved; AND NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU.
21. Howbeit, this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
Matthew 19: 26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but WITH GOD all things are possible.
Mark 10:27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for WITH GOD all things are possible.
Luke 1:37 For WITH GOD nothing shall be impossible.
Luke 18:27 And Jesus said: The things which are impossible with men ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD.
F. Let me ask you: will you die fulfilled, or will you die hungry?

IV. STAY HERE? VS. FIND MORE?
II Kings 7 illustrates when a small group of men decided, THERE HAS GOT TO BE MORE THAN THIS.
A.The man of God had a prophecy, and some were trapped in their negative little world so that they could not accept the GOOD NEWS.
B. Have we been here in this negative situation until it seems like an inescapable trap?
C. There is DIVINE DELIVERANCE.
There are DIVINE POSSIBILITIES BEYOND THE SCOPE OF YOUR VISION!
D. SOME ONE HAS TO SEE THAT GOD KNOWS OUR CASE, AND GOD HAS A PLAN THAT WILL LOOSE A DIVINE POSSIBILITY, DELIVERANCE.
V. GOD HAS A WORD FOR HIS PEOPLE!
II Kings 7:1 Elisha said: HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD; THUS SAITH THE WORD OF THE LORD --- TOMORROW ABOUT THIS TIME THERE SHALL BE PLENTY, A GREAT FEAST.
A. DO NOT GIVE CREDENCE TO THE NEGATIVE.
After faith makes a declaration, and is bold enough to start the action by declaring verbal words,
the negative crowds want to drown our little swimmer in ankle deep water.
B.Why should we accept anything that clouds DIVINE POSSIBILITIES IN THE CHURCH?
VI. WHEN THE NEGATIVE CROWD TRIES TO SPEAKS TO THE IMPOSSIBILITY, THEY REINFORCE THE NEGATIVE.
II Kings 7:2 Then the Lord on whose hand the King leaned answered the man of God, and said: BEHOLD IF THE LORD WOULD MAKE WINDOWS IN HEAVEN,
MIGHT THIS THING BE?
A. THEN ELISHA TELLS THE MAN HIS NEGATIVE WORDS HAVE POWER.
II Kings 7:2 And Elisha said, Behold YOU SHALL SEE IT WITH YOUR EYES, BUT YOU WILL NOT EAT OF IT. (Starve to death at a feast?)
B. WE MUST COME TO SEE THE GOD POSSIBILITIES BEFORE US.
Today’s situations, and the fears of tomorrow can not dictate to believers what God CAN DO!
VII. GOD CAN USE THE UNUSABLE THAT WILL DECLARE THE DIVINE POSSIBILITIES!
II Kings 7:3 And there were four leprous men, and they said one to another: “Why sit here until we die?”
A. THE FOUR LEPROUS MEN HAD TO GET A HOLY DISSATISFACTION WITH JUST SITTING AROUND. ONE OF THEM MADE A DIVINE DECLARATION THAT WOULD SAVE MANY LIVES.
B.I believe that anyone in the city could have declared the solution, but the four most unlikely
characters without the city STOOD UP BY FAITH, AND DECLARED THE GOD POSSIBILITY.
C. MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE!
II Kings 7: 4 The leprous men came to the conclusion, if we go into the city we will die?
If we sit here we die?
D. HERE WAS ONLY ONE WAY TO LOOSE THE DIVINE POSSIBILITY. Go toward the problem.
VIII. THERE IS A TIME TO GET UP AND DO SOMETHING BY FAITH
II Kings 7:5 And they arose at twilight, to go to the enemy’s camp.
A. LITTLE DID THE FOUR OUT CAST, SICK MEN KNOW HOW GOD WOULD HONOR THEIR GETTING UP AND NOT BEING SATISFIED TO DIE HERE.
II Kings 7:6 FOR THE LORD HAD MADE THE HOST OF THE SYRIANS TO HEAR THE NOISE OF CHARIOTS, AND THE NOISE OF HORSES --- AND THE ENEMY FLED…
B. ALL GOD NEEDED WAS SOMEBODY TO SPEAK TO THE POSSIBILITIES AND ARISE BY FAITH.
C. These four men released the HAND OF GOD, what could we arise and release today?
The four lepers did not even see the enemy, God had gone before them.
IX. SEE THE RELEASE IS FOR OTHERS AS WELL AS FOR US.
II Kings 7:9 They said one to another, WE DO NOT WELL: THIS DAY IS A GOOD DAY OF GLAD TIDINGS, AND WE HOLD OUR PEACE…
A. THE NEGATIVE CROWD WILL NOT ACCEPT THE POSSIBILITIES OF GOD AND THEY SAY THIS IS A TRAP BY THE ENEMY.
B. God answers the problem with a solution and dog gone the negative crowd wants to
hang on to the misery just a little longer.
C. HOW LONG, MY FRIEND, ARE YOU GOING TO HANG ON TO THE PROBLEMS? Why not move into God’s possibilities?
D. My dear friend, this is not the intersection of death, this is the opportunity to release the plan. We have come to this point to release the Divine Possibility over our problems.
X. HOW CAN YOU SINK THROUGH A SOLID ROCK?
A.You can verify God’s work. There is always a “Let’s see crowd!”
They will stand and gripe and complain and murmur until they see.
B. Come, get up, quit complaining and wrestling with God’s message and God’s man.
Get up, and release God’s possibilities and God will not only minister grace to you, but you can bring the deliverance to many others.
II Kings 7: 14 They finally find some horses that the people haven’t eaten and go check it out.
XI. GOD’S POSSIBILITIES WERE RELEASED AND THE FOOD WAS PLENTIFUL AND AT A REASONABLE PRICE, JUST AS THE MAN OF GOD PROCLAIMED.
Preach this message, teach this lesson, God is looking for someone to get up out of this mess and reach into the Divine Possibility and loose God.
XII. MAY WE ALSO SEE ANOTHER TRUTH: THE SAD MESSAGE OF THE NEGATIVE CROWD KEEPS THE TASTE OF VICTORY OUT OF THE DOOMSDAYERS MOUTH.
II Kings 7:20 And so it fell unto him: for the people trod upon him in the gate and he died.
A. WILL YOU REFUSE DELIVERANCE?
Will you die hungry at a feast?
With God all things are possible. Why sit here until we die?
It is a fact that there is a power to reach beyond here, to reach beyond our capacity or ability.
B. We can come to God’s and give to others a benefit and opportunity to believe and receive more than THIS!
C. Today there are others that depend upon us to see beyond the box.
There arises within the heart of those exercising faith to reach beyond today’s nightmares into the Faith that God will do this for me, and it will start today in my attitudes and in my words.
D. God can do for you today the same way He moved for the four lepers. Let Him. Don’t declare CAN GOD? BUT RATHER DECLARE: GOD CAN!
Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND in the evil day, AND HAVING DONE ALL --- STAND.
Hebrews 10:36 For you have NEED OF PATIENCE, that after you have done the will of God, you might receive the PROMISE!
E. God please have mercy and grace upon us, and help us to focus beyond today’s problems. God teach us to lean not to our own understanding, but to reach behind the veil into the realm of Divine possibilities!
