“Myths about God that Mislead Us”

Myth # 1: God is UNFAIR! Col. 1:13NLT “…He has rescued us…”
“For God is not unfair. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other Christians, as you still do.” Hebrews 6:10NLT
Why does one person get healed and another dies? Why do bad things happen to good people? Why do good things happen to bad people?
Is God really unfair or is it a matter of our choices?
Myth # 2: God is UNFORGIVING! vs. 14 “…the forgiveness of sins.”
“The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against Him.” Daniel 9:9
Myth # 3: God is UNRECOGNIZABLE! vs. 15 “Christ is the visible image…”
“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men were without excuse.” Romans 1:20
Myth # 4: God is UNABLE! vs. 17 “…in Him all things consist.”

Myth # 5: God is UNFAITHFUL! vs. 21-22 “..He has brought you back as friends…”

Myth # 6: God is UNAVAILABLE! vs. 22 “…He has brought you into the very presence of God…”
“For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.”
