The word UNITY means to come togather, or to be togather.
The people of shinar were of one mind, one language. They were in UNITY, or they simply came togather. There plan was simple, to Build a tower that could reach heaven.
Now notice what it says in verse 8--
"AND THE LORD SAID, BEHOLD, THAE PEOPLE IS ONE, AND THEY HAVE ALL ONE LANGUAGE: AND THIS THEY BEGIN TO DO, AND NOW NOTHING WILL BE RESTRAINED FROM THEM, WHICH THEY HAVE IMAGINED."
Here the people are all one, they have one idea, and they set out to carry out that idea. But we notice that God said is simpy this, Anything that they imagined to do, they will. Thus is the reason why God destroyed the tower.
But we also notice in verse number 5 the lord moved. For the scripture says.. "AND THE LORD CAME DOWN TO SEE THE CITY AND THE TOWER, WHICH THE CHILDREN OF MEN BUILDED."
Now notice that the lord "came down" to come down would mean that God moved..he moved from the thrown of heaven down to see what the children were building.
Now some might say that God got a little nervouse, but no not really, as i began to read and truly study the lord showed me something.
The lord showed me that he was making a point.
The point being that what ever we as christains today set our minds to do we can. Now If Gods people (true christians) would come togather and stop worring about color of someones skin, and stop worring about what denomination another minister of christian is from, but if we would all come togather in unity we are going to cause God to move.
When God moves, ther is always something that happens, for example the tower of babel... God moved down and saw what the children of men were building and when he moved he destroyed the tower.
Just imagine for a min if we were to get like the people who were building the tower, what if we were truly united, not in the physical sense but in the spiritual sense, What if your church Got united and Caught on fire for God..
There would be lost loved ones being saved, there would be sinners filling the churches, i belive that if everyone got onfire for God, and got unified that we would start to see God move, don’t get me wrong, God is already moving across this land and across many nations, but if we set our flesh aside, and we would just worship like we have never worshiped, if we ministers, minister like it is our last time, if we all became more unified, we would see cancer falling off of people, we would see homosexuals being deliverd we would see the drunks sober, we would see all sorts of great miricals. Why? Because if we get unified enough and we lock ourselves in our prayer closets, and we fast like we have never fasted then it is going to cause God to move..
Im tired of seeing sinners walk in and sinners walk out..Its not the devils fault that we have gay getting married, its not the devils fault, that the world is the way it is today,
Its simpy our fault, its the true christians of the world today.
If our founding fathers were here today i think they would have a heart attack..
therefore we can only blam one person...ourselves..
It took one women to get prayer out of school, But it is only going to take one God to get prayer back in school...and do not tell me it can not happen cause it happened at my old high school..
God wants us to forget about ourselves and concentrate on him, that mean that our worship levels must increase, our prayer time must increase, that means we have to fast more, and we must get into the word of God more than we ever have before.
Our lord Jesus Christ is soon to come, so why dont We become unified, why dont we all have the mindset to go out and win the lost at anycost...
in the book of matthew the 28th chapter verse 19 says
"GO YE THERFORE, AND TEACH ALL NATIONS BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT."
so as this message comes to an end, i encourage everone that reads or listens to this message to get in your prayer closet like you have never done before, read more and more of the word and study it like you have never done before, and fast more than you ever have before,
in short,
Lets get on fire and more unified with christ than we are today, become more and more unified with christ everday, because when sinners see that we have the joy and when sinners see what God is doing in the churches, then they will want to know what is going on and they will want to get in on it too and that way we can lead them to christ.
