Introduction
Going God’s way is not only the best way but the only way! It’s when we look back we say, "I wish I had followed God..."
Jacob knew the feeling too well. A person is never what he ought to be until he is doing what he ought to be doing. Jacob was neither. In other words it took a bit of getting his attention before he learned the value of doing everything God’s way!
Jacob found himself in a crisis. A commitment crisis. Follow God or take what’s offered behind door #2. He made the wrong choice. He got s big surprise. Let’s examine it together by seeing several things:
Main Division
I. The Circumstances That Burdened Jacob (Ge 27:35-38 & 32:6-8)
II. The Crisis That Broke Jacob (Ge 32:17-25)
III. The Change That Blessed Jacob (32:26-32)
Conclusion: Be like the steam kettle, though up to its neck in hot water, it continues to sing!
