He is Able
Pastor Jamie Wright* Maranatha Fellowship Church *5-30-04pm
God has done great things in my life.
He saved me from a devil’s hell. He delivered me from destruction. He heals my diseases. He spared me from death. He gives me life and breath; health and strength. He gave me a lovely wife and three healthy children, 2 cars, and a roof over my head. He has put clothes on my back, shoes on my feet and food on my table. He has called me, anointed me and is using me for His glory. He is a mighty good God. But according to
2 CHRONICLE 25:9 “THE LORD IS ABLE TO GIVE ME MUCH MORE THAN THIS”
He is able capable and proficient enough to do it. He is skilled enough to bring it to pass.
2 Corinthians says God is able to give you more than you need.
I know there are people under the sound of my voice that are bound up and trapped in sin tonight; kind of like Moses and the children of Israel as the escaped Egypt. They found themselves stuck in a tight spot. The uncrossable Red Sea in front of them the unbeatable army of Pharaoh behind them, breathing down their necks. They were trapped with no where to go. If you are in that position tonight you are in of the God of
Daniel 3:17. He is the God that the Shadrach, Meshach and Abendigo depended on. They said in the middle of their tight spot,
“…our God is able to deliver us…
I feel the HOY GHOST UP N HERE. SOMEBODY SHOUT HE IS ABLE
I don’t know if anybody has felt like God has done so much for you, that you don’t deserve to ask Him to do anything else for you. I mean He is the God who gave you a 2nd and 3rd and 4th and 60th and 100 chances and every time you have turned your back on Him he has been there to welcome you back with open arms. He is the God who spared your life during that drug overdose that should have killed you. He is the God who protected you during that horribly abusive relationship. Jehovah Jireh it is he who provided that $10,000 at the last minute so you wouldn’t foreclose on your home. He is the God that provided your parole when you didn’t deserve it. It is called favor. He is Jehovah Raphi, the Lord my healer. The one, who healed my daughter, spared my daddy and cursed my cancer. So, I really don’t think I should ask anything else of Him. Especially now that it is such a huge need, However, I find in EPHESIANS 3:20
He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ASK or think.
He is able to accomplish infinitely more than we ask.
Jesus became flesh and dwelt among us John 1:14. While on this earth he faced every temptation that you and I face, yet without sin. He lived a sinless life. He was tempted with fame and fortune. He was tempted in the lust of the flesh the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. YET without sin. He was tempted in ALL WAYS even sexually, YET without sin. You and I are tempted. Temptation is not sin. Yielding to temptation is sin. Jesus NEVER sinned, therefore according to HEBREWS 2:18
Seeing that He Himself has suffered being tempted He then is ABLE to (aid) help me when I am tempted.
He is able Jude 1:24 to keep me from STUMBLING
He is able to present me faultless before the throne
He is able Hebrews 7:25 to SAVE everyone who comes to God through Him
Romans 16:25 God is able to make me strong
Romans 14:4 He is able to make me succeed
According to Jeremiah 17:14 He is able to HEAL me
Psalm 25:15 says I am looking to the Lord for he alone is Able to RESCUE me from the traps of my enemies
His word is full of promises. He promises to heal and to forgive. He promises he will never leave us nor forsake us. He promises to give good gifts to his children. He promises to give power to those who accept him. He promises that the best is yet ahead
My latter will be greater than my former
That he will pour out his spirit on ALL flesh
He promises to bless me in the city and country in my going and coming. That I will be the head and not the tail the first and not the last.
He promises, PEACE AND PROSPERITY and PROTECTION AND PARDON
He promises to give me life and that more abundantly. He promised us the comforter the Holy Spirit.
According to ROMANS 4:21
I am fully convinced that what He promised HE IS ABLE TO PERFOM IT.
He IS ABLE. GOD SAID. I BELIVE IT. THAT SETTLES IT FOR ME>
HE IS ABLE!
2 Chronicles 25:9
And the man of God answered, "The Lord is able to give you much more than this."
Daniel 3:17
If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.
Ephesians 3:20
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
Ephesians 3:20 (NLT)
Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.
2 Timothy 1:12
For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep (guard) what I have committed to Him until that Day.
Hebrews 2:18
For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid (help) those who are tempted
Jude 1:24 (NKJV)
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
Romans 16:25 (NLT)
God is able to make you strong, just as the Good News says. It is the message about Jesus Christ and his plan for you Gentiles, a plan kept secret from the beginning of time.
Hebrews 7:25 (NLT)
Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save everyone who comes to God through him. He lives forever to plead with God on their behalf.
Romans 14:4 (GN)
Who are you to judge the servants of someone else? It is their own Master who will decide whether they succeed or fail. And they will succeed, because the Lord is able to make them succeed.
2 Corinthians 9:8 (GN)
And God is able to give you more than you need, so that you will always have all you need for yourselves and more than enough for every good cause.
Romans 4:21 (NKJV)
and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
Jeremiah 17:14 (NLT)
O LORD, you alone can heal me; you alone can save. My praises are for you alone!
Psalm 25:15 (NLT)
My eyes are always looking to the LORD for help, for he alone can rescue me from the traps of my enemies.
Acts 26:8 (GN)
Why do all of you refuse to believe that God can bring dead people back to life?
