WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO CAST YOUR CARES?

KJV: Luke 21:14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer.
NIV: Luke 21:14 But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.
Isa. 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isa. 46:4 And even to your old age I am he: and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
TRUST THE PLAN
If you feel like the world is against you; you are right, it is!
There was a Captain of a ship, and a terrible storm suddenly blew the little ship.
The Captain knew how to pray, his prayer during the storm went something like this:
You may sink me if you will,
You may save me if you will,
I will keep rudder true!
Chart the Course, Set the sail.
The little boat was singing "I was sailing along on a moonlight bay"...
The little boat started thinking - I’m carrying such a heavy load...
Then the heavy boat started crying...
A still small voice said to the little boat ... I AM THE OCEAN, AND THE OCEAN SAID I’LL HOLD YOU UP....

CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE?
The kids playing with real live Rattlesnakes or Copperheads?
Having an atheist for a pastor?
Driving a car to Hawaii?
Gong to the zoo, letting a Monkey prescribe you medicine?
1. IT IS MAN’S NATURE TO WORRY, THE LESSON OF THE BIRDS!
Mat. 6:25 Jesus said, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about life...food or clothes....
In January of 1981, I was preaching a Revival in Frankfort, Kentucky.
The birds came to the window and seemed to tell me how hungry they were. Our boys were young.
Linda had counted our money and we decided we had $7.50 extra. So when we went out, we stopped at
a day old bread store, and we bought $7.50 of old bread.
We decided we would feed some bread that day, some the second day, until we went home.
I fed the bread to the birds, and they left and came back with their cousins, they sang to me on that cold
day, we are hungry, can you help? So I threw out some more bread, and some more until all the bread was gone.
The birds on the one hill in Frankfort, ate a trunk load of bread, that cost me $7.50.
That night as I lay to sleep, I pondered, God feeds those birds every day, and not just this hill, but around the world.
It doesn’t break God to feed the birds, he loves to do that.
Let me add a note here, God may feed the birds daily, but He does not put the food in the nest.
The birds have to fly and find the food.
I ACCEPTED MY FIRST PASTORATE IN FEBRUARY OF 1981. I asked the head board member could I see the ACMR,
the annual church report for 1980, he brought the annual church report out, and I saw where the church had averaged 3
in the Sunday Morning worship for 1980. The youngest of those three was 68.
I left teaching school, I had a wife and two sons, so the lesson of feeding the birds would become a testing zone for this
Preacher.
I stayed there 8 1/2 years, 1370 sermons, and MY FATHER taught me that not only does HE feed the birds, but that
HE would take care of my little family.
God loves you. God knows you by your first name. God saw you in your Mother’s womb, every day God
has watched over you and made a way for you. Let’s TRUST GOD TODAY!
2. GOD HAS DESIGNED US FOR LITTLE LOADS AND TO REGULARLY EMPTY OUR LOADS AT GOD’S FEET!
We are like God’s Dump Truck, we just make short hauls and dump our load on to the altar.
Psa. 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee; He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
What is a dump truck designed for? Short loads to alter us at the altar! Carry it all to God and trust Him.
CAST --- to throw off, to throw away, on broken arm
BURDEN --- burn out, load, duty, something hard to bear, difficult, hard, oppression
SUSTAIN --- relief, food, nourishment, support, strength, to bear up under, to carry
When there are no visible means of support, God is still there. There angels have charge over you!
3. GOD I CANNOT HANDLE THIS BURDEN? BUT AS WE YIELD THIS BURDEN MAY BE A BLESSING
IN DISGUISE? MAYBE THERE IS A GREAT VICTORY AHEAD?
Restore the Joy
KJV: Psa. 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with thy free spirit.
OF THY SALVATION - NOT OF MY SALVATION
NIV: Psa. 51:12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
NIV: Psa. 41:3 The Lord will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his bed of illness.
4. WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, THE TOUGH GET GOING, IS NOT TRUE!
WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, WHERE DO WE GO?
Upon what do we cast our care?
GO TO MY FRIENDS - they might let you down, we can’t trust the arm of the flesh.
GO TO MY JOB - I can just bury myself in my work? My problems will wait?
GO TO MONEY AND NEST EGGS - The system fails, stock market go down?
GO TO EDUCATION- Education, we learn more and more, about less and less, until finally we know everything about nothing?
GO TO SPIRITUAL WARM FEELINGS- palm readers, witchcraft? They can never be pure, holy.
GO TO SOCIAL CLUBS- have parties, do good social works and ease our conscience, - fun, pains, can’t do at all.
GO JOIN A CHURCH- Why put all the eggs in one basket? Join 20 churches? We can feel frustrated on the pew?
GO TO SOME SMART MAN OF GOD- He might tell you, and then you focus on the man?
Anything that takes away from God is wrong. God shares His glory with NO MAN! Try the Bible!
I know people that cry, NO ONE VISITS ME? Yet, they visit no one?
5. EVERY EXPERIENCE IN THE WORLD DRAINS, CUTS, DULLS, OR COOLS?
We walk daily through this messy world. Everything that is sharp today will become dull?
Everything in the world that is hot will become cool?
Everything that is modern and beautiful today will become garbage tomorrow or the next day?
WE HAVE THIS SPIRITUAL WARFARE WHERE EVERY ONE WANTS TO BE THE POLICEMAN!
We become God’s little Policemen ... and write everyone a ticket!
WE WANT TO BECOME THE JUDGE AND TELL EVERYONE WHERE TO GET OFF---
People’s Court - This turns to God’s Big Judge....! Spiritual Wapner’s, Spiritual Judge Browns, and Judge Judy’s?
Seems we want to trade 50 pounds of overweightness with pills and quick fix diets, for sick, weak diets?
So you are busy, we pride our self, busy - Busy Bees?
So busy is our goals?
What about busy --- mosquito? We will swat the mosquito? What are you busy about?
6. WE TIRE OF PLAYING HUMAN, SO WE THINK WE CAN DO GOD’S JOB BETTER THAN HE DOES?
We play God and tell Him what to do... Listen to our prayers? They are like Santa Claus wish list?
Watch our giving? We give to get back? MOTIVES?
The Bible warns, You don’t get because you asked amiss?
Oh - Natural instinct --- HANG ON?
How do they capture free monkeys? They place a few peanuts in a 50 pound glass jar.
The monkey sees the peanuts in the jar and puts his hand in the small mouth opening.
Once the monkey makes a fist around the peanuts, he can’t get his hand out.
The monkey with it’s hand in 50 lb. jar will not let go of peanut, and will forever live in cavity?
The monkey should let go and run?
Have you ever seen how they trap Mussels that live on the river bottom?
They just drag chains over the bottom, the chain drags over the mussels,
the mussels clamp on chain --- the trap, the DEATH
Go ahead, don’t trust God? Don’t be faithful? Hang on to bitterness, pain, offendedness?
So we take in our own hand to resolve

7. EVEN SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF PROMISE GO THROUGH LEAN TIMES!
Where do you go?

Everything Drains your energy and your dream?
Where do you go?
Any place other than God is Demonic, and will lead to heartaches and tears.
8. A GREAT STORY ABOUT ATTITUDES!
There was an old man, he lived in the same house with his son.
One day the old man was taking a little nap, the Grandson went in the kitchen and got some LIMBURGER CHEESE.
The Grandson slipped into the front room where the old man was sleeping, and very quietly and gently the boy rubbed
the stinky limburger cheese into his Grandfather’s handlebar mustache.
The boy went out to play. The grandfather woke up, and said, "WOW, IT STINKS IN THIS FRONT ROOM!"
So the old man went into the kitchen, and you guessed what?
The old man stated, "WOW, IT STINKS IN THE KITCHEN!"
So the old man heads outside to the porch, he sits in the swing and to the old man’s amazement the front porch had
the same problem... "WOW, IT STINKS OUT HERE TOO!
So the old man decided to take a walk, as he strolled through the neighborhood the old man drew a conclusion...
"THE WORLD STINKS!"
I will warn you, the whole world stinks if you are carrying a rotten odor with you!
Grow up, CHANGE! Wash the mustache!
9. WE DESIRE NO COST MINISTRY? WE WANT TO EXPEND LITTLE EFFORT AND GET GREAT RESULTS?
While something can come from nothing, the average in life is that nothing comes from nothing. Little comes from little.
It is very easy to feel so small and think you know everything. Seems, we even know how to rebuke those that have
invested everything in God’s work. We can desire NO COST MINISTRY, or at least little cost?
Don’t let your tomorrow’s be regrets from your nothingness today.
Blessed is the person who expects nothing, they shall usually get exactly what they expected.
What is our excuse for launching out today? Many are waiting for another seminar, another class, another excuse.
When God makes a man a prophet, the prophet is still a man. God does not un-make the man.
I promise if you get ready and prepare and work hard, that the preparation will breed expectation, and expectation should
breed preparation. Someone is counting on you! You could be the match that ignites the move of God!
10. DEFINE INSANITY?
It is easy to define insanity:
Doing things the same way you have always done them and expecting a different results.
Seems Jesus did little work with titles, he did some of His most meaningful work with towels.
I am told that in areas where they have many storms, the trees grow deep stronger roots.
If God calls you, will He not equip you?
Every ministry has a potential beyond their call.
It seems to me that wisdom likes what you have --- when you don’t have what you like? Or what you want?
Do you dream? Do you have short term dreams? Long term dreams?
It is good to hope, but if waiting kills the hope, you never had much to begin with!!!!
11. THERE ARE TWO KINDS OF DREAMS:
A. DYING DREAMS...
B. BIRTHING DREAMS...
A. DYING DREAMS
Do you dream dying dreams?
A dying dream is wishing for golden towers, and ivory thrones, with glimmering illusions of mere fantasies,
while your brain is idle, and you sit still under some shade tree. Seems, we have FALLEN IN LOVE WITH THE COMFORT
ZONES. Burp, while we watch another TV show?
Hasty climbers break many bones?
Dying dreams live in their own sleeping cocoons as escapist from the real problems of real people.
We don’t want real people with real problems, we search for that place SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW...
Dying dreams have clean hands and clean stalls, as the wait for a more perfect time.
Dying dreams are little more than daydreaming while there is work to be done.
As the country music song says: I am daydreaming about night things in the middle of the after noon ...
B. BIRTHING DREAMS!
Do you have a BIRTHING DREAM ABILITY?
Birthing dreams don’t see things as they are, but as they could be.
Birthing dreams see beyond problems and obstacles into the realm of FAITH POSSIBILITIES!
Birthing dreams exercise self control and self discipline and overcome all test of times.
Birthing dreams require planning and great effort.
Birthing dreams know there is good protein in that NUT, and will find a way to crack that shell
and find life giving elements.
The best dream finds the bounds of the NUTSHELL and learns how to faithfully deliver the potential hidden there in.
I am so tired of the FAT ARM CHAIR QUARTER BACKS and those in CRYSTAL CATHEDRALS,
and those that criticize the faithful saying: WE HAVE NEVER DONE IT THIS WAY?
Some say, Better people than you have tried this and failed? WE CAN’T DO IT?
HONEY may be in every flower, but it takes a bee many hours to get the usable honey.
Doesn’t wisdom say, MANY STROKES FALL MIGHTY OAKS?
A positive thought is a seed for positive results.
12. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO DO IT?
WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO DO IT?
Psa. 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee;
MAY GOD HELP US BE AN AGENT OF CHANGE. May we dream a new dream, may we break the ties that bind!
May we reach to new heights!
If the whole world stinks we might better make some changes!
