TEXT:
Matthew 6: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth does nor rust will corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal;
21. For where your treasure is, there will be your heart also.
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.
I think some times we make life so complicated we miss the simple enjoyment.
Here are 50 simple things we should consider.
Here are some of my simple things listed,
I like to think on them one at a time.
Make a copy, sit under a shade tree with a glass of ice tea and enjoy life and ponder my Philosophy 101 lesson.
Just pondering again, thinking about life and death.
You are special, I thank God for friends.
We celebrate in your life, and thank God for all the precious memories.
Death is not death if it brings us closer to God,
we just go into the closet (the grave) and change.
As graduation from the kindergarten qualifies one to go to the first grade, so death qualifies us to real life, abundant life.
Look what really happens, we just travel and then, are in the land of our dreams, no more tears, no more pain, a reunion of the ages, to see JESUS face to face, and join the praises around the throne eternal.
Of course, life can be painful and we will share some tears, but may we also celebrate in that GOD DOES ALL THINGS WELL.
Get you an old songbook and look up a song called
"ALL THE WAY MY SAVIOR LEADS ME," this is our story.
Know, the same time that separates us will bring us together again.
Celebrate the HOPE IN JESUS, we will be together again.
We never lost our family, we know where they are, we shall be WITH THEM. Maybe soon, Jesus will come and WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE WHEN JESUS WE SHALL SEE, I think our loved ones gone before have already been at Jesus’ feet and ask Jesus to touch His hurting family, RECEIVE AGAIN DAILY.
I am not very smart as anyone can read, but I have developed a class which I call
PHILOSOPHY 101.
I have learned these things.....
Philosophy 101
1) Nothing is as bad as it first appears.
2) Good comes out of evil.
3) Nothing can happen to you today that
that God can’t handle.
4) The good news is the bad news is not true.
5) Time is a tonic.
Time will never return.
Time is the most precious gift you have.
6) You deserve what you tolerate.
7) Life is a mirror.
If a donkey looks in, don’t expect to see a prophet.
8) It is not what happens to you the matters,
it is what happens in you.
9) Problems neither make you strong or weak,
they just show which you are.
10) Tribulation is a test tube.
11) It takes more faith to get out of the boat, than it does to stay seated.
Yet the world will talk about the man that dares to try.
12) Bury the past or it will bury you.
13) You can if you want to... you will find an excuse to justify
14) What you love you will find time for....
15) Trouble and sorrow and life are only temporary.
16) If you hate stink, keep your garbage can clean.
17) Do not entertain doom and gloom.
18. If your barn is perfectly clean, you are not doing very much.
19. If your neighbor has greener grass,
he has a higher water bill or a good septic tank.
20. It takes greater faith to stand still,
than it does to run off into battle.
21. Just because you failed, does mean you have to stay down.
22. You are never alone.
The enemy will distort your emotions.
23. Sometimes the worse thing that could happen to you
is the best thing that could ever happen.
24. Two things in life amaze me...
a. How smart people can be.
b. How dumb people can be.
25. Sometimes your friend can kill you,
as dead as an enemy can.
26. Faith is an F word...
a. Fear not
b. Fret not
c. Faint not
d. Forget not
27. Often the harvest is the ripest and greatest,
when the pain is greatest.
29. Vision without action can be daydreaming.
Action without vision and planning can be great nightmares.
30. Don’t grow a mind that is 1,000 miles wide,
and 1/32th deep.
31. Real Godly life is not just how high you can reach,
it can be how low can you reach to others.
32. God creates meaning out of chaos.
Big messes can grow great messages.
Great test can grow great testimonies.
33. I have found it is easier to give birth than
to raise the dead.
34. If the horse you are riding is dead,
then a logical thing to do is dismount.
35. It is insane to want things different,
and keep doing things the same old way.
36. If you don’t like what you are getting,
you better change what you are giving.
37. If the moon listened to every barking dog,
it would quit shining.
38. Hatred never ceases hate.
Hatred ceases by love and forgiveness.
The best way to get rid of an enemy is to make him your friend.
39. Prevention is better than cure.
It is easier to build good boys,
than to repair bad men.
40.A lot of kneeling keeps you in good standing.
Get on your knees and thank God, you are standing.
41. Christians don’t plan to fail they fail to plan.
Idle time should be a time of preparation.
Be fore warned, fore armed, fore prepared,
you are on the way to victory.
42. God called you to be a fisher of men.
But leave the cleaning of the fish to God.
43. The white robe Jesus has for believers
should never be altered to fit you.
You should alter yourself to fit the robe.
44. Whether you get the answer you prayed for,
or the answer you dreaded,
God is still God.
45. God sometimes moves mountains one pebble at a time.
46. A grudge is where a hillbilly parks his car.
A grudge never gets better nursing it.
47. You are not smart trying to control the wind,
it’s strength, or it’s direction.
Rather learn to adjust and set your sails
to meet life’s challenges.
48. I have learned that if the chickens will quit fighting
over the food, they will find out the farmer has provided
enough food for all. Is this true for us?
49. Character is what you are in the dark!
50. YOU ARE THE PEARL OF GREAT PRICE.
God loves you. God knows you by the first name.
God has a plan and a purpose for you.
Don’t give excuses. Don’t give up.
Don’t give in.
Aren’t you too blessed to be depressed?
Dad always said,
"Don’t be to free with your advice, the smart already know it, and a fool won’t listen."
But I felt compelled to say lean back in the arms of the Lord
and read JOHN chapter 14.
A friend and servant,
