Summary: YOU CAN COUNT THE SEEDS IN AN APPLE, BUT ONLY GOD CAN COUNT THE APPLES IN A SEED!

SEEDS ARE A PLAN

Our text:

2 Peter 3:18 BUT GROW IN GRACE, AND IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST...

I ponder:

You can count the seeds in an apple;

BUT ONLY GOD CAN COUNT THE APPLES IN A SEED.

Sickly oaks from sickly acorns grow.

In every seed God has a blueprint for growth. The smallest seed in the world is an orchid seed, thousands fit on the point of a pen.

The largest seed in the world is cocodemer, it can weigh 60 poundes.

Every seed is a plan for God’s growth!

Are you growing? Just in spurs?

Do you have a plan for growth? Can you tell seasons?

DON’T CRY OVER YOUR LITTLENESS, GOD HAS A PLAN.

HE LOVES YOU!

I fear many people eat their seed corn, then when faith needs the growth, there is nothing to give.

All God asks of us is to do the best we CAN with what we have!

We can’t compare ourselves with each other or with each other.

God has a plan, we don’t always understand His plan, but we yield to Him.

He loves us, so maybe you are at a little work

and everybody knows your little work should grow,

so you can write a book to show others how to do it.

Maybe instead of the focus being small, we should focus on the BIGNESS OF THE AWESOME, MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE.

I know little people that have invested their all

and receive no trophies and applause.

All God requires is faithfulness to the post of duty you are assigned to do.

If every seminar in the world tells you what is

wrong with you and why you shouldn’t be so little,

trust God.

He must love the little, for that is where the majority serve.

SURE DREAM BIG...THEN BIGGER....but despise not the little things.

That warm wet kiss from an old widow in the rest home is the KISS OF GOD.

That food basket to the family that will never say thank you, yet goes to bed fed by your hand is God’s work just as much as the largest church in your state.

Someday may there be applause for the little.

The Bible agrees with me.....

when the first shall be last.....

and the last will step in front of the first

and say excuse me.....

the FATHER HATH CALLED ...

I MUST ANSWER.

Now, if you let your littleness limit your vision you are just as wrong.

The grass is always greener over the septic tank.

Enjoy where you are, and do what you can, when you have been faithful over the little...a real pay day awaits.

You are not bad just because you seem so little!

You are not the problem,

You and God are the solution.

May I ask you, What is pure and undefiled religion? Don’t ask me, Look it up?

The Bible has a clear definition that is lost in the search for applause? If you are interested look at James 1:27.

James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this: TO VISIT THE FATHERLESS AND WIDOWS IN THEIR AFFLICTIONS, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

If this defines pure religion, many seem to fall way short? Seems we are building on the shifting sands of applause and popularity. Many churches have no ministry geared toward God’s priorities?

May you have much fruit to lay at Jesus’ feet,

Phil 4:17 NOT BECAUSE I DESIRE A GIFT:

BUT IDESIRE FRUIT THAT MAY ABOUND TO YOUR ACCOUNT.

There is nothing wrong with being big, \

don’t conclude that is what I am saying,

but the bigness of your name or your work

CAN BECOME a very poor goal........

magnify the cross......

the name of JESUS.....

God will say well done thou good and

faithful......

So if you teach,

teach with tears and zeal....

and love Him.

God gave HIS BEST>>>

WE OWE HIM OUR BEST>>>

AND FIND JOY IN DOING IT.

Follow this next story closely.

I love Jesus and I am a candle for Him,

may I ever burn for Him.

May you ever burn and give for the light.

This is a beutiful lesson written by Tiziana Ruff.

Once there was an emperor in the Far East who was growing old and knew it was coming time to choose his successor.

Instead of choosing one of his assistants or one of his own children, he decided to do something different.

He called all the young people in the kingdom together one day.

He said, "It has come time for me to step down and to choose the next emperor. I have decided to choose one of you."

The kids were shocked!

But the emperor continued.

"I am going to give each one of you a seed today.

One seed.

It is a very special seed.

I want you to go home, plant the seed, water it and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from this one seed.

I will then judge the plants that you bring to me, and the one I choose will be the next emperor of the kingdom!"

There was one boy named Ling who was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed.

He went home and excitedly told his mother the whole story.

She helped him get a pot and some planting soil, and he planted the seed and watered it carefully.

Every day he would water it and watch to see if it had grown.

After about three weeks, some of the other youths began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow.

Ling kept going home and checking his seed, but nothing ever grew.

Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by. Still nothing.

By now others were talking about their plants but Ling didn’t have a plant, and he felt like a failure.

Six months went by, still nothing in Ling’s pot.

He just knew he had killed his seed.

Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing.

Ling didn’t say anything to his friends, however. He just kept waiting for his seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the youths of the kingdom brought their plants to the emperor for inspection.

Ling told his mother that he wasn’t going to take an empty pot.

But she encouraged him to go, and to take his pot, and to be honest about what happened.

Ling felt sick to his stomach, but he trusted his mother was right.

He took his empty pot to the palace.

When Ling arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by all the other youths.

They were beautiful, in all shapes and sizes.

Ling put his empty pot on the floor and many of the other kids laughed at him.

A few felt sorry for him and just said, "Hey, nice try."

When the emperor arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted the young people.

Ling just tried to hide in the back.

"My, what great plants, trees and flowers you have grown," said the emperor.

"Today, one of you will be appointed the next emperor!"

All of a sudden, the emperor spotted Ling at the back of the room with his empty pot.

He ordered his guards to bring him to the front.

Ling was terrified.

"The emperor knows I’m a failure!

Maybe he will have me killed!"

When Ling got to the front, the Emperor asked his name.

"My name is Ling," he replied.

All the kids were laughing and making fun of him.

The emperor asked everyone to quiet down.

He looked at Ling, and then announced to the crowd, "Behold your new emperor! His name is Ling!"

Ling couldn’t believe it.

Ling couldn’t even grow his seed.

How could he be the new emperor?

Then the emperor said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone here a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring it back to me today.

But I gave you all boiled seeds which would not grow.

All of you, except Ling, have brought me trees and plants and flowers. When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you.

Ling was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it.

Therefore, he is the one who will be the new emperor!" From "In The Garden With Jesus," a children’s devotional written by Tiziana Ruff.

May my knowing the crush of life, give the fragrance of the CROSS to others.

See, we must do our best with what we have. Jesus knows you and your family.

Never give up and never look back.

Never compare yourself to others.

Be faithful in the small, little things.

Don’t hold your seed, invest your seeds, and grow the plan of God to others.

Could you enlarge my hands and pass this to others. I just want little people encouraged.

I pray over this in Jesus’ name.

Make me real happy and make a copy and give to a little preacher without a computer.
