Divine Appointment With Breakthrough
>Confession of Faith
God has prophesied that in the last days we will see an inversion of the church.
>An oppressed church - an ineffective church
will transform into glorious, powerful church.
>I have quoted Malachi several times which
states that the world will look at the church and call it delightful or valuable.
That is not to say that there will be no persecution.
In Mark 10:29-30, Jesus says that: “There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,
30 But he shall receive an hundredfold [of these things] now in this time... with persecutions.” (KJV)
>Ask yourself the question, “Why does God want
me to have a breakthrough?”
>The answer is because He watches over His
Word to see that it is fulfilled.
He has spoken His desire for us - and He is
leading us to it if we will follow.
James 5:3-4
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth. (KJV)
God has said that the faithful will abound with blessing. But to reap that blessing, we have to do something.
In these verses in James (3&4) God is hearing two parties crying out for harvest:
1. The wages are crying -
2. The people to whom it belongs are crying -
>And the Lord hears both cries
Do you remember when the Israelites were delivered from Egypt?
God heard their cries and in the deliverance He not only had he heard the cries of the His people, but He also had heard the cries of their labour.
Before they left or in the process of their breakthrough the wealth of Egypt was transferred to them.
They had 430 years of being stolen from ...
(what is breakthrough?)
It’s restoration!
There is a spiritual wall that has been built which keeps us from occupying or possessing the promises of God.
The breakthrough is the restoration to the place where the free flowing Spirit of God is made available so that we are in a position of receiving what God has made available.
>In the process of God restoring the Israelites back to a position of blessing within God’s system - He transferred the harvest of all the lost labor to the Israelites (church).
Notice in James the first thing that was crying out was the “hire of the laborours.” The wages of those who had laboured.
Secondly, the laborers themselves were crying out.
Last week I asked you to be honest and tell me if you felt that your sowing was greater than your harvest.
The majority said that as you look at your life right now and you think of all the labor, money, time and talent you have put into the work of God that you have not reaped a harvest according to biblical terms from this.
But I am here to tell you today that your harvest from all that you have sown into the Kingdom of God is crying out, but are you?
We need to get aggressive!
Too many people are not crying out. They aren’t being aggressive.
All the while their harvest is crying out, they are not -- and so they are not reaping their harvest.
BUT! When the harvest is crying out and the harvesters are crying out -- God causes a divine appointment and brings the two together.

I want to talk this morning about a:
Divine Appointment With Breakthrough!
-------------------------------------------------
Last week I asked you if the has the power to keep you from getting your breakthrough!
then I identified that the reason you have areas that you need breakthrough is because we’ve allowed promises to be stolen.
The has a purpose and appears only for that purpose - John 10:10 states that purpose is to kill, steal, and destroy.
>Looking for that one he can devour 1 Peter 5:8
We looked at the Israelites prior to going in and taking the promised land and identified that:
1. They had an enemy - armies guarding the borders
2. The enemy had power - the skill of the army
3. Despite that opposition -victory was given
before they entered.
4. However, fear (twisted faith) kept them from going in and receiving the promise.
Always remember that Faith receives what Grace provides.
We then looked at Eph. 1:19-23 and saw the “Greatness of His power that has been given to us who believe.”
This power which was made available to us through the work of Christ has been placed far above any other power, dominion or might.
Although the power of God is available to us - how did we get in a situation where we needed breakthrough?
We then looked again at Israel when Gideon was called and saw that for many years the Mideanites stole and destroyed everything that Israel sowed so that there was no harvest.
And when God raised up a force to re-possess the promises of God 64% of the army (22,000) went home because of fear.
-------------------------------------------------------
During this time of breakthrough there are a couple of things that God has deeply impressed me with.
>One of the first areas was Gideon’s army - which is why I have continually told you not to get discouraged by who is here or who is not here.
There are many who are not willing to show up for battle.
>And the second area is Jericho.
-------------------------------------------------------
In prayer this week I saw similar situations in both of these examples that I hadn’t seen before that I believe was at the direction of the Lord.
When Gideon prepared and showed up to battle
they didn’t have to fight - God caused the victory
When the Israelites prepared and showed up to
battle they didn’t have to fight - God caused the victory.
Deut 1:30
30 The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you...(KJV)
Deut 3:22
22 Ye shall not fear ...for the LORD your God he shall fight for you. (KJV)
In the book of Eccl. chapter three we read of seasons and times
Eccl 3:1-2
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; (KJV)
Therefore there must be a time to fight and a time that God fights for you...
I believe what the Lord has revealed to me is that we are at a point where He is going to fight for us.
(Because of Breakthrough - Restoration)
This is not the norm, but a special time of restoration to those who cry out to God.
Many times we miss what God is doing because we figure something out in the Bible and then lump everything into the same category.
>But there is a time and a season for everything.
-------------------------------------------------------
What is it that 5 weeks ago the Lord impressed me to bring to this people?
>It was breakthrough!
>Tearing down spiritual walls that keep you from accessing the promises of God.
That is not the same thing as standing in victory -
When the Israelites were in Egyptian they were not in a position where they could stand as they did later on under King David’s command.
They could not operate as they later would operate under Joshua’s command.
Why?
Because they had to be restored to a position of authority where the power of God could work through them.
-------------------------------------------------------
When David came to see his brothers and Goliath was tormenting the armies of Israel did David go pray to see if He could go fight Goliath?
>No! - He stood on his covenant and said who is this uncircumcised Philistine!
However, when David came to Zik-lag in 1 Samuel 30 and found that the Amalekites had invaded and burned it and had taken the women captive and stolen everything they had.
Taken captive their wives and sons and daughters -
why did David go pray and ask God if He would deliver him and not stand in his authority as he did with Goliath and just go recapture what was his?
>Because the enemy had successfully stolen from
from him.
---------------------------------------------------
As a Christian there are two predominant areas of operation:
1. Is breakthrough or re-capturing what was lost
2. Is occupying and increasing what you have
(The battleground for both is separated-prayer)
------------------------------------------------
Example of Avco:
1. Aurora - needed breakthrough that only God
could give
2. HFC - needed to stand on the Word, but the Word is only as effective as the prayer behind it.
-------------------------------------------------------
The Apostle Paul, a man of intense pray, when bit by a poisonous snake didn’t even have to pray he just shook it off.
When encountering a messenger of three times he prayed when God finally told him - I’ve given you the power - you take care of it.
Paul went around speaking words of faith and proclaim things by the Name of Jesus
In Acts 19 we see some Jews who had been watching Paul and they called a person possessed of the cast out the by the Jesus that Paul preached.
Acts 19:15-16
15 And the spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
16 And the man in whom the spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house and wounded.
(KJV)
What was the difference between Paul and these Jews?
Paul had the prayer behind the words.
So many Christians walk around quoting Scriptures of authority and power and never see anything manifest.
They have no power.
The laughs at a good percentage of Christians when they quote the Word because they have no power source to bring the Words to life:
The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life!
---------------------------------------
You need a financial miracle because you are overburdened and caught in a debt cycle:
>You need a breakthrough to restore you to
a position where you are debt free and have
sufficient income to live.
>You need God to intervene - tear down the
walls keeping you from a debt free life
It’s going to come from your crying out to Him
>Once you’re debt free His Word proclaims He will teach you to prosper and lead you in the way you
are to go.
You’ll find that way through prayer
Are you sick in your Body - You need God to intervene and restore you to a place of health
>To continue to walk in health He declares that His Word is health to your flesh
You’ll find it through the Word and prayer.
----------------------------------------------------
Nahum 1:9
affliction shall not rise up the second time.
(KJV)
Are you committed to receiving your breakthrough and then keeping it?
