IS THERE ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO PROSECUTE?

LET US CONSIDER IF THERE WAS A CRIMINAL OR CIVIL TRIAL TODAY: WOULD THERE BE ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO CONVICT ME BEFORE A GROUP OF MY PEERS? WOULD A TRIAL BY 12 JURORS FIND ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO PROVE BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT I WAS A SOLD OUT CHRISTIAN?
ORDER IN THE COURT! Let us call the witnesses: WILL YOU TELL THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH, AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH? WHAT IS THE MEASURING STICK TO EVAULATE CHRISTIANITY’S LOVE?
THE TIME COMES WHEN OUR STRENGHT WILL WANE AND PLEASURE WILL BE ELUSIVE.
We had a friend that lived to be 102. As a matter of fact, I married her and Bill on her 100th birthday. Dana was in the rest home. The doctor and the nurses told me I had to make her eat. She told me: PASTOR, YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND, NOTHING TASTE GOOD. I just can’t make myself eat. After many rounds of chemo-radiation my sons would say: DAD YOU HAVE TO EAT. I would say: YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND, I AM NOT HUNGRY, NOTHING TASTE RIGHT. I DON’T WANT TO EAT. Solomon warned us about life’s battles. He said: ENJOY LIFE WHILE YOU CAN.
Ecclesiastes 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
WILL WE TRAIN OUR MIND AND BODY TO ACCOMPLISH MORE? WHAT THINGS BRING JOY? DO WE REALIZE JOY IS A CHOICE? TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO HAVE A GOOD DAY.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
The largest ocean animal is a whale. Whales can be trained. I am told they lay a rope on the bottom of the pool. They work with the whale swimming over the rope for days. When the whale becomes acclimated to the rope they raise the rope several inches off the bottom. Every few days they will raise the rope a few more inches. The whale swims over the rope. Eventually they raise the rope where the whale swims under the rope. They continue every few days to raise the rope a few inches at a time. When the rope reaches the water level the whale learns to jump over the rope.
The largest land animal is the elephant. They train the elephant through POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT with REWARDS when the training progress is achieved. They can be trained? I was amazed when I saw a trainer push a steel rod in mud and hook it to the elephant’s ankle. I told the trainer, I can’t believe the can hold that big elephant. The trainer replied: the elephant could move anytime it wants too. Once it pulls and senses resistance the elephant quits trying and it will stand for days.
I am amazed how humans can train themselves. Trey Hensley picks up a guitar and his fingers flow over the strings like water. Tommy Emmanuel from Australia has 5 brothers, all of them are professional guitar pickers. Tommy is one of the world’s elite pickers. He has trained his fingers. Watch those figure skaters spin? How about those men on motorcycles flip over and land right side up? How about two brothers said man can fly? Man can go to the moon? I saw where a 12 year old boy was trapped on a raft and his family was dying. His mom asked him to swim 3 miles to the shore to save his family. He said every time he was ready to quit, he would hear his mom say. If you fail we will all die. He would get a second wind and swim until he made it and notified those that would save his family.
MY FRIEND YOU ARE STRONGER THAN WHAT YOU THINK. YOU CAN DO MORE THAN YOU EVER DREAMED POSSIBLE.
We must learn to concentrate and stay focused on what is important. LOVE NEVER FAILS. YOU CAN TRAIN YOURSELF TO LOVE.
HOW WELL DO WE KNOW THE BIBLE? DO WE TEACH OUR OPINIONS AND COMPROMISE DIVINE TRUTH?
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:31 (ESV) So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
LOVE LOVES GOD’S COMMANDMENT AND WILL FOLLOW THEM.
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
AM I GUILTY OF LOVE IN THE FIRST DEGREE?
John 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13:34 (ESV) A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”.
GIVING WILL REVEAL THE TRUTH… LOVE LOVES TO GIVE.
Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
DO I HAVE TOO – OR -- DO I WANT TOO? FOR THE TRIAL LAWYER ASK WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVE?
2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
DO YOU GIVE FORGIVENESS? DO YOU GIVE HOPE? PEACE? UNDERSTADING? GOD NEEDS A VEHICLE OF TRUTH.
1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
WHAT YOU LOVE YOU WILL FIND TIME TO DO! WHAT AM I DOING WITH THE TIME GOD GIVES? WHAT AM I DOING WITH MY TALENT AND ENERGY?
Ephesians 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
AM I JUDGMENTAL OR DO I GIVE TENDER MERCIES AND LOVING KINDNESS? WE MUST RAISE ABOVE THE WORLD’S LOVE STYLE. THERE IS A BRAGGING LOVE!
Luke 6:32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. 34And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. 36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
JESUS GIVES WHITE ROBES, JUDGES WEAR BLACK ROBES. FORGIVENESS IS A MEASURE OF LOVE.
Luke 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
GOD’S LOVE IS NOT ME, MYSELF AND I --- NOT SELFISH OR PRIDEFUL. THE QUICKEST TICKET TO HELL IS HATRED.
1 John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
LOVE DOES NOT FIND FAULT. LOVE IS NOT CRITICAL.
1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
CONCLUSION: JESUS’ LOVE IS NOT PART TIME… JESUS LOVE IS WITH ALL.
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
