THE GOG WAR AGAIN – THE UNITED STATES FLEET IN THE MIDDLE EAST – CURRENT HAPPENINGS IN IRAN
As I write this, the world is wondering about the United States fleet in the Middle East. The Abraham Lincoln carrier Group is positioning itself around Iran. No one knows the outcome of all that, not even the President who is doing the right thing in protecting the peaceful people of Iran who have suffered greatly under this most wicked Iranian regime. I don’t think even Donald Trump knows what the outcome will be.
There are certain facts we do know, future ones. Again I want to take you to Ezekiel 38 and 39, the Gog/Magog war.
I find it really disappointing that certain teachers of prophetic events still claim this Gog war can happen any time now or maybe early in the Tribulation. It is sad that some people take a position they can not justify and dig their toes in, and refuse to look at a wider picture. I find this to be the case with some of the American prophetic teachers.
I have spent a lot of time explaining why the Gog war can not happen until the eve of the Second Coming. I will mention that evidence that some simply refuse to take note of; nor can they explain their position in regard to the relevant verses.
Here are the relevant verses (note restored Israel in peace and godliness)–
{{Ezekiel 39:21-26 “I SHALL SET MY GLORY AMONG THE NATIONS and all the nations will see My judgment which I have executed, and My hand which I have laid on them, AND THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL WILL KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD their God FROM THAT DAY ONWARD. The nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile for their iniquity because they acted treacherously against Me, and I hid My face from them, so I gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and all of them fell by the sword. According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions I dealt with them and I hid My face from them. Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Now I shall restore the fortunes of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel and I shall be jealous for My holy name, and they shall forget their disgrace and all their treachery which they perpetrated against Me when THEY LIVE SECURELY ON THEIR OWN LAND WITH NO ONE TO MAKE THEM AFRAID.”}}
THE SETTING – THE SETTING – THE SETTING!!
The verse IMMEDIATELY BEFORE those verses above, speaks of the defeat of Gog and the passage tells of the beasts and birds feasting on the soldiers and invaders. (Also Revelation 19:17-18 which is Armageddon). The Ezekiel passage (chapters 38 and 38) is all one whole. Here are the three preceding verses before our above passage – {{Ezekiel 39:18-20 “You shall eat the flesh of mighty men, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, as though they were rams, lambs, goats, and bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan. You will eat fat until you are glutted, and drink blood until you are drunk, from My sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you, and you will be glutted at My table with horses and charioteers, with mighty men and all the men of war,” declares the Lord GOD.}}. That is Gog’s defeat BUT immediately upon that we have those great restoration verses Ezekiel 39:21-26. That is the proper setting for the Gog/Magog war.
Those who discount the Gog war on the eve of the Second Coming just disregard these restoration verses. You can not do that. Look at the strength of them – {{Ezekiel 39:22 “and the house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God FROM THAT DAY ONWARD.”}} {{Ezekiel 39:26 “and they shall forget their disgrace and all their treachery which they perpetrated against Me when they live securely on their own land WITH NO ONE TO MAKE THEM AFRAID.”}} {{Ezekiel 39:29 “I will not hide My face from them any longer, FOR I SHALL HAVE POURED OUT MY SPIRIT ON THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL,” declares the Lord GOD.”}}
You prophecy teachers who say the war can be any time BUT not at the end of the Tribulation, do you not understand English? Do you not know the import of the words “FROM THAT DAY ONWARD” and the setting in which they lie?
When Israel is restored according to the verses Ezekiel 39:21-29, Israel WILL KNOW THE LORD. Tell me you who misplace the Gog war, is Israel going to be unafraid in the Tribulation and knowing the glory of the Lord, and filled with the Spirit of God, and the all will know the Lord, and God sets His glory among the nations - tell me, is this possible before the Second Coming? I see a big NO!
Most certainly it is not. The ONLY way this can happen is that Gog is defeated at the Second Coming, along with the war of Armageddon and the invasion of the kings of the east (China) (all contemporaneous). Please treat the whole of Exekiel 39 in context, and not just selectively take what you want from it. That is dishonest. Do not cut out the end of Chapter 39 because it does not suit your scenario.
The moment Gog is defeated, Israel knows the glory of the Lord and is fully restored and the world knows that glory. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE BEFORE THE SECOND COMING so do not place this war at stupid places.
ISRAEL’S DARKEST HOUR SINCE A.D. 70
You must know that AT THE END OF THE TRIBULATION, right at the end we have this condition, a most terrible time in Israel –
{{Zechariah 12:2-4 “Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah. And it will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And ALL THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH WILL BE GATHERED AGAINST IT. In that day,” declares the LORD, “I will strike every horse with bewilderment, and his rider with madness, but I will watch over the house of Judah, while I strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.}}
{{Zechariah 14:1-4 “Behold, a day is coming for the LORD when the spoil taken from you will be divided among you, for I WILL GATHER ALL THE NATIONS AGAINST JERUSALEM TO BATTLE, and the city will be captured, the houses plundered, the women ravished, and half of the city exiled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city. Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.”}}
Those descriptions are of the terror in Jerusalem seemingly facing annihilation when the entire world is gathered against Israel but at the eleventh hour Messiah intervenes at the Second Coming and destroys the lot of them – the world’s armies; the Gog armies; the armies of the kings of the east.
THE GOG PLAYERS ARE JOSTLING FOR POSITIONS
Who are the nations who comprise the Gog/Magog war? From Chapter 38 of Ezekiel we have the following listings – “Gog of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him,” “Persia, Ethiopia, and Put,” “Gomer with all its troops; Beth-togarmah from the remote parts of the north.”
Not all these nations/peoples can be identified correctly but of a certainty there is Russia (the Russian Federation), Iran, Ethiopia, Libya, Turkey and many others from the “remote north” according to geography.
WHAT IS THE POSITION OF THESE ARMIES REGARDING ISRAEL TODAY?
[1.]. RUSSIA hates Israel so therefore supports Israel's enemies. Today Russia is very active behind the scenes in Iran. It has been supplying weapons and military advisors in the past number of years. One problem we have with the widespread media in our generation is the distortion and lying facts. Quite a number of writers on the Internet and on YouTube are putting out sensationalist videos that are nothing short of lies. You must be very discerning.
Be very careful about sifting the available iformation. We have some placing Iran’s rulers already in Russia. The best information as at 26th January 2026 is that Iran’s despotic, satanic leader is hidden away in a deep bunker in Iran. I will stick my neck out here and say that Israeli intelligence (Mosad) knows exactly where the Mullahs and the despotic rulers are at any given time.
Russian interest in Iran will not cease. It is probably the key player in the Gog war.
[2.]. ETHIOPIA seems relative silent right now but as best as I can find, it has supply lines through its country for weapons to get into Iran. Links are being formed. One thing we must realise is that in the Tribulation, great changes will happen quickly so what we see today (or the absence of it) can very quickly change.
[3.]. LIBYA is much like Ethiopia. I can’t be definite at all about this one but in leading up to that war it will fall into place.
[4.]. Many prophecy teachers identify Beth-togarmah with TURKEY (even “Tubal”). In recent weeks Turkey has actually advocated an invasion of Israel. The leader right now is an awful man, a real turkey. Turkey (Turkie) wants to move into the region of Syria and is also trying its best to exterminate the Kurds. Turkey is an evil nation, one that hates Israel and decency. How on earth Turkey was allowed into NATO I have no idea. They have no place in NATO.
The President of Turkey is Recep Tayyip Erdogan who is becoming a powerful political figure in the Middle East.
[5.]. The REMOTE PARTS OF THE NORTH. When you look at a map you will see the spread of nations to the north of Israel and nearly all of these are Islamic. Many used to be part of the USSR. One thing we must understand is that by the end of the Tribulation, the armies of the nations are going to be quite small.
The slaughter of the “Red Horse – “second seal” of Revelation 6, and the famines and pestilences plus the huge judgements of Revelation 8 and 9, and the severe judgements of the Bowls in Revelation 16 will see up to 60% or more of the earth’s population wiped out. I have tried to put that together in Revelation, but we won’t explore that now.
[6.]. MESHECH AND GOMER. I know some say Gomer is Germany but the evidence for both those identifiers is slim. We can’t be certain at all so I won’t comment.
TWO EXTRA MATTERS
[1.]. The Kings of the east. The reference – {{Revelation 16:12 “The sixth angel poured out his bowl upon the great river, the Euphrates, and its water was dried up, that the way might be prepared for the kings from the east.”}}. China is directly east of Israel and these kings are Asian nations. They come across to Israel, and this happens AT THE SAME TIME as this verse – {{Revelation 16:13-14 “I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs, for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty.”}}. It is the gathering of all nations according to Zechariah 14:1-4.
The frogs gather the nations for Armageddon. Three alliances are on the move – the world’s armies; the Gog alliance; the kings of the east. They all gather and are defeated at Armageddon. They have separate areas in Israel (Gog on the mountains) but at the Second Coming they suffer defeat (justly!)
[2]. What is the relationship with Iran and China? Just two days ago huge transports came from China into Iran with the latest sophisticated weapons because China supports the Iranian murderous regime which is no surprise with President XI being one of the most evil men alive today. There is a strong bond between China and Iran because China gets nearly all its oil from Iran and wants to protect its oil avenue.
Of course China hates Israel. It is satanic. Any satanic man in control would naturally hate Israel – Xi, Erdogan, Albanese, Starmer, Carney (Canada), and of course Ayatollah Ali Khamenei (Iran) and the list will grow rapidly as Satan gains more control over the nations through the UN and the WEF and WHO.
THE UNITED STATES FLEET
Yes, it is a guessing game. It always is with Donald trump. I think he does this to control the minds of leaders he does not like. It is like the sword of Damocles to get the outcome he wants.
It is regrettable that the people who value freedom, and in Iran, especially Christians are the victims of that ruthless, satanic, Islamic regime. There are millions of Christians in Iran and it is as if God is calling out a remnant before the end comes.
I will not be adding to the speculation about Iran and the American fleet. What Trump will do, well, maybe he is not sure himself. The situation is so volatile; it changes daily. By the time you read this, things could be different. The United States may attack military and strategic targets in Iran or just cause panic among the Revolutionary Guard because of its powerful naval fleet.
The situation in the Middle East is very dangerous and a lot of this is because of China with its Belt and Road policies and the strategic bases it is trying to establish throughout. Xi wants to be a world dictator, a most evil man who persecutes his own people and in the firing line, are Christians.
Christians who dismiss all these moves, or who write off prophetic events are really very foolish. The bible is very clear about what is going to happen in regard to Israel, and that will include the whole Middle East. Some dismiss the Rapture. Some dismiss the Tribulation that is coming. Some, shockingly, dismiss the restoration of Israel.
IRAN IN THE SHORT TERM
No one knows what is going to happen short term. Will the United States intervene? Will the Iranian dictatorship collapse and some other body take over? Will some measure of democracy be installed? Will the nation descend into chaos that no one can manage?
The MEK (The People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran) is lobbying Washington to be installed as rulers in Iran once the current rule ceases and they are getting support. The MEK is a terrible mixture of Marxism and Islam. This terrorist group was dedicated to the overthrow of the Shar of Iran in 1965 and continues its aims. In fact it could be as extreme as the current reign of the Mullahs. They aim to create a socialist state in Iran based on a modern and revolutionary interpretation of Islam. That will tie them right in with Russia.
In the past week in Iran the people’s rebellion for freedom has seen 350 mosques set ablaze.
What is clear is that in the Tribulation Iran will become a force in a wicked alliance with Russia and others. China will play a strategic part and will head the kings from the east.
What does all this mean? We can not overlook what is happening with so much falling into place. It just means the Rapture is so close. Remember, it is Israel that points to what happens and Israel is ready right now for someone to bring in peace. Some think this is Donald Trump but it is not. The world leader after the Rapture (Antichrist) will be from one of the nations of the old Roman Empire, (personally I think from Belguim or the UN or France – somewhere there perhaps? Do not speculate. It is all very clouded for us because Antichrist can not be revealed before the Departure comes! (Not the Apostasy – the word means departure 11 out of 15 times it is used in the New Testament and should have been translated as “departure”. It is the departure in the Rapture.)
In speaking of the Day of the LORD Paul says – {{2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 “Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless THE APOSTASY comes first, and THE MAN OF LAWLESSNESS IS REVEALED, the son of destruction who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.”}}
WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN FOR CHRISTIANS?
Firstly, what is happening is known as the signs of the times and we must look for these. The Pharisees were condemned because they did not discern the signs in their day. {{Matthew 16:1-3 “The Pharisees and Sadducees came up and testing Him, asked Him to show them a sign from heaven but He answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather for the sky is red,’ and in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today for the sky is red and threatening.’ Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky BUT CANNOT DISCERN THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES?”}}
Secondly, what is happening must affect our lives. We should be living in a much greater expectation of the Lord’s return to call His Church home. We should be as active as we can in the Lord’s business, balanced with family and work. The time is short.
I only wish I could state this clearer and let people see what is happening. May the Lord help us to understand and to see things falling into place.
I will end with one verse I am going to take out of context. The context is the Second Coming, but I will apply it also to the Rapture of the Church. {{Matthew 25:13 “Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour”}}
