GOD REMEMBERS PEOPLE THAT PRAY!

PRAYER IS A GREAT TOOL FOR THOSE THAT SERVE THE LORD. THE PRAYER OF FAITH DOES THE WORK OF GOD.
James 5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
A 63 WORD PRAYER IN THE KJV. ELIJAH, THE NAME ELIJAH MEANS “MY GOD IS THE LORD.” ELIJAH WAS A MAN OF PRAYER. GOD PROVES THE POWER OF PRAYER.
1 Kings 18:24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken. 25 And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under. 26 And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made. 27 And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. 28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them. 29 And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.
HOW DID THE ALTAR GET SO MESSED UP? ELIJAH REPAIRS THE ALTAR AND THEN ELIJAH PRAYS.
1 Kings 18: 30 And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down. 31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name: 32 And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.
GOD HEARS THE PRAYERS OF HIS PEOPLE. TO PROVE PRAYER WORKS ELIJAH SOAKS THE OFFERING AND THE ALTAR WITH WATER.
1 Kings 18:34 And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time. 35 And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water. 36 And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. 37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. 38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
TO PROVE AGAIN THE POWER OF PRAYER THIS LESSON IS MENTIONED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT. ELIIJAH PRAYED AND HHE PRAYED AGAIN.
Elias is the Greek form of the Hebrew name ELIJAH. Elijah was a prophet from east of the Jordan. The nation of Israel had turned away from turned away from Jehovah. Israel was under the wicked King Ahab and Jezebel. The whole nation turned to worship BAAL.
ELIJAH CHALLENGED THE PROPHETS OF BAAL TO A PRAYER MEETING ON MOUNT CARMEL. ELIJAH PRAYED FOR A DROUGHT AND GOD HEARD HIS PRAYER
James 5:17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
THE BIBLE RECORDS MANY LESSONS THAT PROVE PRAYER CAN TOUCH THE HEART OF GOD.
GOD REMEBERS PEOPLE WHEN THEY PRAY. HANNAH HAD A SAD LIFE. HER HOME WAS VERY DYSFUNCTIONAL. THERE WAS NO WAY, NO SOLUTION TO HER PROBLEMS. HANNAH WENT TO CHURCH
1 Samuel 1:10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore. 11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.
1 Samuel 1:13 Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken.
1 Samuel 1:15 And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.
1 Samuel 1:19 And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.
THE KING IS GOING TO DIE… SET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER… HEZEKIAH PRAYS…
Isaiah 38:5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
PRAYER OPENS THE WINDOW TO MIRACLES. DANIEL’S ENEMIES HAVE PLOTTED TO DESTROY HIM. DANIEL KNEW THE POWER OF PRAYER. HE PRAYED 3 TIMES A DAY.
Daniel 6:10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
Daniel 6:22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
DAVID SEEMS TO HAVE TROUBLE ALL AROUND HIM… DAVID KNEW THE POWER OF PRAYER.
Psalm 3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
PRAYER DOES NOT HAVE TO BE LONG WITH VAIN REPETITIONS.
There is a man. He is a hopeless criminal. He didn’t have time to take a CLASS ON PRAYER. He prayed a simple two word prayer. REMEMBER ME.
Luke 23:39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. 40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
CONCLUSION: Hear the word: YOU WILL NEVER ARISE IN PUBLIC ABOVE WHAT YOUR PRAYER LIFE IS IN PRIVATE.
Matthew 6:4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. 5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
