Summary: We must realize God has a plan that invites us come closer. God inhabits his people's praise. We must quit complaining and start praising God.

THE ROAD MAP TO THE HEART OF GOD. PRAISE!.

By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com (YouTube: Wade Hughes) This is a several part lesson!

GOD STOOPED DOWN IN THE DUST AND BREATH THE BREATH OF LIFE IN HIS CREATION OF MAN AND WOMAN. MAN WAS DESIGNED TO PRAISE GOD!

Psalm 150:6 Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

OUR ETERNAL ENEMY USES TH SAME OLD TRICKS OVER AND OVER.

HE IS NOT CREATIVE AND SEEMS HUMANS FALL FOR THE SAME TACTICS OVER AND OVER. SIN’S TRAIL THAT LEADS TO HELL. WILL WE EVER LEARN?

*From bondage to spiritual faith. From spiritual faith to great courage.

*From great courage to liberty. From liberty to abundance.

*From abundance to selfishness. From selfishness to complacency.

*From complacency to apathy. From apathy to dependency.

*From dependency back again into bondage.

DO WE KNOW THE DIFFERENCE IN ORDINARY PEOPLE AND EXTRA-ORDINARY PEOPLE? PEOPLE THAT WEAR THE GARMENT OF PRAISE! GOD REFUSES TO INHABIT DEPRESSION, STRESS AND ANXIETY. PRAISE IS UNINHABITABLE WHILE LIVING IN COMPLAINING AND NEGATIVE ATTITUDES. DO WE WEAR PRAISE? Would your life look different if you lived praising more?

Isaiah 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

PRAISE IS A BRIDGE --- GOD HAS BEEN SO GOOD TO US. IT SEEMS WE ARE TRAPPED IN THE HABITUAL HABIT OF COMPLAINING, FAULT-FINDING, DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY?

Why don’t people praise God? Praise and negative attitudes cannot CO-EXIST. They don’t have faith? They don’t trust God?

*SACRIFICE: offering something to God, the act of giving up something that is valuable, the act of surrendering to God, voluntary offering.

*INHABITS: reside in, live in, to be situated within, to be present, to live or dwell in a particular place,

*PRAISE: appreciate, acknowledge, celebrate, who God is, boast on God, warm approval, admiration, relief, joy, gratitude, applaud, extol, glory, hallelujah, to surrender, thankfulness, adore, praise magnifies God, expresses approval.

PRAISE IS MENTION 155 TIMES IN THE KJV BOOK OF PSALM. Praise is mentioned 248 times in the KJV. Add to that HALLELUJAH in Psalms 24 times. HALLELUJAH is a word of high praise. Average people blame others and seldom praise and encourage.

THERE IS A SURE BIBLICAL FOUNDATION AND CONCEPT: THE SUREST AND QUICKEST WAY TO THE HEART OF GOD IS BY DAILY PRACTICING PRAISE.

Praise gives strength or fortifies our personal relationship with God. Hear me: the more you celebrate and praise in life, the more you will have to celebrate. GOD’S THRONE REST UPON THE PRAISE OF HIS PEOPLE. GOD TAKES CARE OF THOSE THAT PRAISE HIM. BY PRAISING WE ARE PUTTING OUR TRUST IN THE GOD OF DELIVERANCE.

Psalm 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. 4 Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

Psalm 22:3 (NLT2) Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. 4 Our ancestors trusted in you, and you rescued them.

During seasons of praise God’s very presence abides over those that worship and praise him.

Psalm 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

THERE IS A CYCLE OF SIN --- A TRAP THAT WE MUST BREAK.

From Bondage to spiritual faith, From spiritual faith to great courage,

From great courage to liberty, From liberty to abundance,

From abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency.

From complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependency

From dependency back again into bondage.

SOMETIMES LIFE IS HEAVY AND IT SEEMS GOD IS A GREAT DISTANCE AWAY. WE MUST TRUST GOD DURING OUR STORMS AND BY FAITH PRAISE GOD. THERE MUST BE A SACRIFICE OF PRAISE. A SACRIFICE IS AN OFFERING,

Psalm 51:16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.

17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. 16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. 16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

THE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE MUST BE COUPLED WIITH OBEDIENCE.

1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

GOD’S FAITHFUL SERVANTS MUST SING PRAISES TO GOD. DOES THE BIBLE SAYS: CLAP YOUR HANDS IN PRAISE? WILLIE NELSON SAID: WHEN I STARTED COUNTING MY BLESSINGS MY WHOLE LIFE TURNED AROUND!

Psalm 9:11 Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

CLAP YOUR HANDS AND SHOUT IN PRAISE.

Psalm 47:1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

WHEN WE PRAISE WE SHOULD RAISE YOUR HANDS.

1 Timothy 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

Psalm 134:2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.

WEAR THE GARMENT OF PRAISE! GOD REFUSES TO INHABIT DEPRESSION, STRESS AND ANXIETY. PRAISE IS UNINHABITABLE WHILE LIVING IN COMPLAINING AND NEGATIVE ATTITUDES. DO WE WEAR PRAISE?

Would your life look different if you lived praising?

Isaiah 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

AS DAVID WAS WRITING THE CONCLUSION OF PSALM HE WRITES 13 TIMES: PRAISE GOD.

Psalm 150:1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

CONCLUSION: In our daily life, in happy moments we should PRAISE GOD. In our hard, difficult days we must PRAISE GOD! In our quiet times when it seems like God doesn’t hear us: PRAISE GOD! When the long dark night seems to cover us in pain: PRAISE GOD! We must come to the altar with the sacrifice of praise and trust God. The book of Revelation closes in the sacrifice of praise.

Revelation 19:1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

Revelation 19:3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

Revelation 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Billy Graham said: THE GREATEST FORM OF PRAYER IS PRAISE.

Praise is a great gift. If we desire to make daily life have meaning, we must learn to practice praise. The meaning of life is to make life meaningful. Our ancestors taught us, we will never get out of this life alive. Let us make life about meaningful praise every day. Let us get up praising God. Let us go to bed praising God. Let us believe that we can and we will! God teach us to criticize less and PRAISE LOUDLY! More!
