A MARTYR FOR A CAUSE – CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSINATED
I know much has been written about the tragic death of Charles Kirk and I do not want this to be a copycat message. Almost overwhelmingly, there have been expressions of grief and condolences but reprehensively, there have been those who delight in his passing and those whose hatred can not be disguised.
I will not pursue those vile organisations and individuals but will mention two of them. Some horrible stuff came from the American MSNBC and from the Australian ABC which is hateful of the USA and Donald Trump. This taxpayer funded network is very anti Israel, and Marxist and WOKE in its position. They describe Charlie Kirk as “a right wing activist,” a slant that is incorrect.
Charlie Kirk stood for family and Christian values based on the biblical platform, and MSNBC and the ABC hate that.
I am writing this from an outsider’s viewpoint because, not being American, gives me that opportunity. In this message/tribute I will lean much on the publicly spoken message from Charlie’s wife. Later on in this message I will provide quotes from his wife.
[A]. WHAT IS A MARTYR?
This word “martyr” is thrown around today in much the same mindset as stupid expressions like, “catastrophic bushfire” and “worst flood for a century” (until there is another one a few years later and it gets the same terminology.) I don’t know but I think Americans might say “catastrophic forest fire”. We have also thrown around “catastrophic weather alert.”
The word martyr has come to mean dying for a cause, even evil causes like the promotion of homosexuality in education, and other vile measures like actively advocating for abortion up until the day of birth.
The bible is very specific about the meaning of martyr and is confined to those who have died for the sake of the gospel. This would include missionaries, and the untold millions who have died for their faith in all the ages of mankind, and mostly today under evil Islam.
The word “martyr” is very rarely used in the bible. The NIV uses it once and the KJV, twice. This is the first reference – {{Acts 22:20 “And when the blood of THY MARTYR STEPHEN was shed, I also was standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment of them that slew him.”}} The other KJV reference is Revelation 2:13.
All other bibles of note, use the word “witness” or “witnesses” and this is correct because the Greek word means to witness to or to testify to. These people who were martyred witnessed to their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and it was for that, that they were killed. When you think about it, killing one of God’s believers will have horrendous consequences and it is no uncertainty that God’s judgment is coming.
Charlie Kirk was an advocate for family and decency in the United States, and this sprang from His personal faith in the Lord Jesus. It should be like that for all of us. Whatever we do must reflect the born again individual who witnesses for his/her faith in a hostile world. The world will hate you for that because it always hates those lives stand for the opposite of what the unsaved are; their actions, ambitions and desires. There is a stark, clear line of demarcation between Christian and non-Christian, and in today’s world, that starkness is becoming more polarised.
Charlie used the political vehicle of the Republicans because the alternative is unthinkable. The Democrats are corrupt, through and through, baby-killing abortionists, and supporters of the destruction of biblical gender, and enemies of Israel. I know the arguments that Christians should have nothing to do with politics, and add to that, the axiom – the separation of church and State (politics). The trouble is, the State no longer respects that once held practice and is interfering with people of faith.
There is legislation (in my nation at least) forbidding Christians to oppose homosexuality; to be anywhere near an abortion clinic; to speak the gospel to people on the street, and so many other rules that restrict the right of Christians to practice their faith.
[B]. GETTING TO WHAT ERICA KIRK SAID IN HER INTERVIEW
I wish to add some comments to what Erika Kirk said in a brave and emotional talk that went for about 16 minutes, two days after the passing of her husband.
[[ (1). “2 days ago my husband, Charlie, went to see the face of his saviour and his God.”]]
This is a testimony only a solid Christian can give, because for a Christian, there is such assurance in our faith. The unsaved person may speak in general terms about the death of a partner or use some nebulous words like, “He/She is now with the angels.”
I am so thrilled with the confidence of faith this woman has, and it is all true. I have no doubt that when a Christian leaves this scene, that very moment, he enters heaven, then the first encounter is with the Lord Jesus Christ. We will see the Saviour’s face. We shall look on His glory. We shall see His smile of approval, and Jesus will rejoice in the fruit of His suffering at Golgotha.

In this case when I tried to find that verse, this quote from BibleHub came up through AI, and I like it – [[ “The phrase "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints" from Psalm 116:15 suggests that God values the death of his faithful followers, but it does not imply that He is happy about their death. Charlie Kirk loved the Lord and is with Him today. We trust that the outcome of all this will spill over into great blessing. The demonic killer was doing Satan’s work but God brings roses through the thorns.
[[ (2). “and one of the final conversations he had on this earth - my husband witnessed for his Lord and saviour Jesus Christ . Now and for all eternity he will stand at his Saviour’s side wearing the glorious crown of the martyr.”}}
The martyr’s crown is given for those who were/are put to death for their faith. Some might argue that Charlie’s death was a political one but he was killed because he was upholding his Christian faith and witnessing to that. Therefore his death was a because of his Christian faith.
Time is short for every one of us. I remember when I was 50 there was a man in the small fellowship where I was and he was 70, and I thought, “He is getting on. He is old!” It is all relevant, isn’t it? Now I am in my 80s and wonder where all the years have gone.
“I must be about my Father’s business.” That needs to be the signage we all should wear. It is not unlike Jesus’ comment when He was 12 – {{Luke 2:49 He said to them, “Why is it that you were looking for Me? Did you not know that I had to be in My Father’s house?”}}
[[ [3]. She mentioned he loved life, he loved his wife, he loved America, he loved nature which helped him always to bring him closer to God - - -]]
Being closer to God happens when all is placed in perspective. Imagine a tug-of-war team that is supposed to pull together. If one on the team pulls sideways, or another does little pulling, or one is actually pulling backwards, which helps the enemy, then what a useless team that would be. In our Christian lives, if some of our efforts are sideways; some just slack while others are contrary to our faith, what sort of life is that for the Lord?
Erika was correct about Charlie. He had his priorities correct and his loves had all stemmed from the basis of his faith that the enemy tried to destroy.
As a non-American I had not heard of Charlie Kirk until this satanic assassination and was initially very surprised at all the media coverage, so then I looked into it and this message is the result stemming from that. Apparently the USA knew Charlie Kirk well.
Doing God’s will means having all our priorities correct and I must confess, that has not always been the case with me. We all fail in that regard I feel. If you are an exception, I would love to hear about it. The great men of God failed as well, with not many exceptions such as Daniel, Elisha, Paul and Joseph, just to name a few.
[[ (4). She continued with his love for his wife and family. “Family meant all to him and so it ought to because it is God’s plan. If he ever ran for office his top priority would be to revive the American family.”]]
On that point, Charlie’s wife recognised his love of family, and the biblical values related to family and that includes sexuality and the joining of man and woman in marriage. That was the cause of his death from one who destroyed God’s standard.
Charlie’s killer was a homosexual living with another homosexual who was “trans-gender”, that is transitioning into a “woman”. What a filthy mess up of God’s divine order. Satan rules in all these so-called sexual preferences. When a person goes down that line he/she becomes a reprobate. That is why homosexuality and all these other gender distortions hate Christians, and that is because they are firmly in Satan’s camp.
The delusion of Satan is stronger now more than ever. These transgender people are an affront to what God said – {{Matthew 19:4-6 He answered and said, “Have you not read, that He who created them from the beginning made them MALE AND FEMALE, and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and shall CLEAVE TO HIS WIFE and the two shall become one flesh?’ Consequently they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, LET NO MAN SEPARATE.”}}. All these sexual preferences of gender are distortions and contradictions to God’s order.
In the last days sin is on steroids.
YET – My Government is bending backwards to add these distortions to people’s lives. Homosexuality is promoted and people told it is normal and not to feel shame and go and experiment. The minds of our young people are being savaged by this satanic lie. Australia is happy for these homosexuals to function and gives them rights over and above the “normal” citizens. Trans and Queers and Bi-sexuals and a whole range of them have government approval. I hope Trump might crack down on some of that stuff for America.

Erika read that correctly. The world hates Christians because the world hates God, and His message in the bible. One reason the people crucified Jesus was that His righteousness showed up their wickedness and evil hates exposure, so they killed Him. That is how Satan’s world operates.
Speaking about hate for God’s children – I am saddened to say it will get worse. It is increasing rapidly. Half way through the Tribulation the ministry of the two witnesses will commence, that of Enoch and Elijah (It is NOT Moses because he has already died once (Hebrews 9:27)). When their allotted 1260 days are complete, Antichrist is able to murder them. What happened then? Here it is:-

The world rejoices over the death of God’s own. That will be a horrible time in the Tribulation. A sizable number are rejoicing that Charlie Kirk was killed. They are sick minds. Islam rejoices at the death of a huge number of Christians in Africa it is responsible for. God will judge them.
I have been shocked, utterly astounded, at the rejoicing from the left of politics at the murder of Charlie. It has been happening everywhere. Those of you who follow current events will know of this in the USA and the world media. One Australian Senator, a Moslem and hater of Israel, rejoiced at the death of Charlie Kirk. I wrote to her in no uncertain terms.
This is a sick world and it is becoming putridly sicker. I wonder sometimes how God can tolerate this increasing evil, but the time must be just so close that the Lord comes in the Rapture to remove His Church, then all mayhem will break loose. Wickedness will have its day under THE MAN OF SIN/LAWLESSNESS.

Erika said this almost prophetically (to use that term in the generally understood way). I believe it has. I did hear that some people have been returning to church.
The delusion of Satan is stronger more now than ever. These transgender people are a disgrace to all God has declared. So too are the Climate activists with their 100% lies of deception.
Erika’s positive message ended with an appeal to the gospel. What a wonderful woman she is and hers is a wonderful family with a wonderful husband.

Above all it is spiritual, a spiritual warfare. Charlie loved His Saviour with all his heart and he wanted every one of you to know Him too. He wanted everyone to know if they confess the Lord Jesus Christ who rose from the dead then they will be saved. No one is ever too young to know the gospel. Nobody.”]]
I trust that all who listened to Erika’s message will take heed. We do not play games with God. All this is real. Today is the day of salvation. That is, the door is still open but it will not always be so. Do not procrastinate about the gospel of Christ!
[[ (8). “May Charlie be received into the merciful arms of Jesus our loving Saviour.”]]
This is the last statement I want to do. It is a great tribute where the wife released the husband into the arms of Jesus Christ, the Saviour. There was no complaining, no blaming God. She knows all is in the will of the Lord and He triumphs over all. God be blessed forever.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. What a touching tribute from the wife of a martyr of Christ.
