TODAY’S PROBLEMS CAN BE TOMORROW’S PROVISION.

TRAILS ARE NOT NECESSARILY FOR PUNISHMENT. THERE IS A HINGE WE NEED TO SWING ON: THAT HINGE IS FAITHFULNESS AND FORGIVENESS. THIS BUMP IN THE ROAD COULD BE FOR THE TESTING OF OUR FAITH. IT COULD BE TO HELP US GROW. THIS TEST COULD DRAW US CLOSER TO GOD. THIS TRIAL MIGHT REVEAL HOW REAL AND GENUINE WE REALLY ARE.
James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing..
I worked in a music store in the mall at Middlesboro, Ky. A man came in and tried to sell me a 3 carat diamond ring. He said it was worth $1.800.00. He offered it to me for $300. He lowered it to $250, then $200. I got my keys to lock the music store doors. He ask what was I doing. I had the ring in my hand. I said I was going to the Jewelry Store three doors down to see if it were really a diamond and gold. He grabbed the ring and ran as fast as he could to leave. I then knew beyond a shadow of doubt it was fake, a shiny glass reproduction. IF THE DIAMOND CAN’T PASS THE TEST IT MUST BE FAKE!
THIS PROBLEM IS NOT AN ACCIDENT BUT AND DIVINE OPPORTUNITY.PART OF A REFINEMENT, CORRECTION TO BRING PROMOTION AND OBEDIENCE.
We can find many blessings come to us in the disguise of problems, trials and disappointments. This trial can become a blessing to help us TO ALIGN WITH BETTER ATTITUDES and TEACH US SERVANTHOOD. OUR HARDSHIPS ARE OPPORTUNITIES TO STRENGTHEN OUR FAITH AND LEARN ENDURANCE.
Perhaps we need to acknowledge our mental, physical, emotional, moral and spiritual value systems need to align with God’s word and God’s plans.
WE BELIEVE THE STEPS OF A GOOD PERSON ARE ORDERED OF THE LORD EVEN WHEN WE CAN’T UNDERSTAND.
Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

James 1:12 (MSG) Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.
James 1:12 (NLT2) God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
It is easy to trust God on our good days. Those that learn to keep trusting through pain, trials, and difficult hardships have a PROMISE to stand on… THERE IS A CROWN AWAITING.
WE NEED A MIRROR TO REALLY SEE WHERE WE HAVE BEEN AND ARE NOW AND WHERE WE ARE GOING.
James 1:22 (NLT2) But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror.

THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH TATTLE-TAILS. THERE IS AN IMPORTANT MAN IN THE BIBLE THAT HAD A DREAM BUT HE WAS A BRAGGART. THERE IS A VERY DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY. LEAH AND RACHEL WERE SISTERS. THEY MARRIED THE SAME MAN--- JACOB. JACOB AND HIS BROTHER ESAU.
(Esau was the father of the Edomites, angry and bitter) JACOB and ESAU HAD PROBLEMS, GENERATIONAL? Then compound this LEAH HAS 10 SONS. IT APPEARS RACHEL WILL BE BARREN. The strife in this family was off the scales on normal. JACOB LOVED RACHEL SO MUCH HE WORKED 14 YEARS FOR HER. Rachel gives birth to two sons: JOSEPH AND BENJAMIN. Jacob favored this two sons by Rachel. Jacob was around 90 when Joseph was born. JACOB LOVES HIS 2 SONS MORE THAN THE 10. --- JACOB SETS HIS SON UP FOR A BAD ATTITUDE.
Genesis 37:1 And Jacob dwelt in the land wherein his father was a stranger, in the land of Canaan. 2 These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report. 3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours. 4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.
GOD SPEAKS TO JOSEPH, THERE ARE ALREADY HATRED ISSUE. JOSEPH SEEMS TO RUB IT IN. Many THINGS God show his promises are not to be rubbed into the faces of others. They hate him more.
Genesis 37:5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. 6 And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: 7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. 8 And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.
JACOB FINDS IT NECESSARY TO REBUKE JACOB. JOSEPH’S BAD ATTITUDE ARE GENERATIONAL. Add salt to the wound… JOSEPH DOES NOT LEARN.
Genesis 37:9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.
10 And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?
WE WILL SEE… BEHOLD, HERE COMES THE DREAMER… JOSEPH DID DREAM BUT HIS ATTITUDE NEEDED ADJUSTING. GOD WILL USE TIME AND TRIALS TO TEACH JOSEPH SOME GOD ATTITUDES.
Genesis 37:19 And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh. 20 Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.
1 The world and the dreams look different from the pit. Life is a bowl of cherries? Sure the PITS.
2. Hip, hip, hooray, they lift Joseph out of the pit. Not to fast Joseph, trials will have to teach you.
3. They strip JOSEPH COAT OF MANY COLORS, but they can’t strip the blessings.
4. There is a lesson of worth, 20 pieces of silver, value –worth?
5. Midianites are trading in slave trade.
6. Joseph is having an attitude change --- when he is placed on the slave block.
7. POTIPHAR just happened to be there and purchased the DREAMER… SELF DOUBT?
8. Finally Joseph finds favor and is promoted. This is a test?
9. JOSEPH is falsely accused of sin by Potiphar. Are you learning with all these trials?
Genesis 39:20 And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.
10. WHILE LAYING IN PRISON JOSEPH HAD MANY HOURS TO CONSIDER HIS BAD ATTITUDES. I believe God’s Holy Spirit had time to in mercy and grace think about his need of correction.
11. There is a DIVINE CONNECTION with Pharaoh's butler and baker.
Genesis 40:23 Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgot him.
12. How many days and nights did Joseph stay locked up and forgotten.
Joseph is now ready, he has learned his lesson and spent many nights HOMESICK.
Genesis 41:14 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.
THE SUDDEN, HASTILY MOVE OF GOD TOOK 13 YEARS --- NOT FOR GOD BUT FOR JOSEPH AND HIS 11 BROTHERS. GOD IS WORKING ON BOTH ENDS --- AT HOME AND IN EGYPT.
Genesis 41:14 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.
IN GOD’S TIME: A DREAM COME TRUE? JOSEPH AND HIS BROTHERS PASS THE TEST OF MANY TRIALS. DIVINE TIMING COMES INTO PLAY. GOD HAS CHANGED THE WHOLE FAMILY.
Genesis 42:6 And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph's brethren came, and bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth. 7 And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food. 8 And Joseph knew his brethren, but they knew not him. 9 And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of them, and said unto them, Ye are spies; to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.
EVERY PROBLEM, EVERY TRIAL, EVERY MISUNDERSTANDING WAS USED BY GOD TO ADVANCE ISRAEL.
Genesis 45:1 Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren. 2 And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard. 3 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.
CAN WE RECOGNIZE EVERY LONELY NIGHT, EVERY FEAR, EVERY HEART ACHE WAS ORDAINED OF GOD TO ACCOMPLISH GOD’S PLAN… WE MUST TRUST THE PLAN.
Genesis 50:19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? 20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. 21 Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.
CONCLUSION: God knows where you have been. God knows where you are at right now. God’s plans will lead us to the ROCK that is higher. Tighten you seat belt and hang on.
Romans 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
