THIS LITTLE LIGHT OF MINE. Don't tell me about darkness, take me to the light.

Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Genesis 1:3 (MSG) God spoke: "Light!" And light appeared.
*Darkness: little to no light, absence of light, miserable, suspicious, gloomy, shady, angry, depressing, dreary.
* Light: energy, illumination, bright, not heavy, to discover, purity, truth, blessings, happiness, no vision without light, ignite, light house, intensity, brightness,
The Bible says: LAUGHTER DOES GOOD LIKE MEDICINE. (Proverbs 17:22)

DARKNESS CAN SURROUND A LAMP, BUT LIGHT AND DARKNESS CANNOT CO-EXIST!
Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Psalm 119:105 (MSG) By your words I can see where I'm going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path.
Light can bring us higher, to new levels, to new definitions of life.
Psalm 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
Psalm 119:165 (NLT2) Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble.

HIS LAMP I AM

His light I am to shine where He shall say. And lamps are not for sunny rooms,
Nor for the light of day. Lamps are for the dark places of earth.
Where shame and wrong and crime give birth. Or for the murky twilight gray.
Where wandering sheep have gone astray. Or where the lamp of faith grows dim.
And souls are groping for Him. And sometimes a flame we find,
Clear shining through the night so dark. We cannot see the lamp, but only see the LIGHT!
So may I shine His Love and Flame, THAT MEN MAY GLORIFY HIS NAME.
CAN WE IDENTIFY THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM? IF I CAN’T FIND A SOLUTION, I AM GOING TO HAVE TO HAVE A PARADIGM SHIFT. I NEED TO CHANGE SOMETHING. WE NEED THE LIGHT. THE LIGHT OF GOD CAN HELP US SOLVE MANY PROBLEMS.
We don’t have to look far in the Bible to find a problem about darkness. There was a little lady that by happenstance found herself in serious trouble. Many teach to that this lady would be in trouble and she could not get married because of her carelessness. I AM GOING TO HAVE TO CHANGE AND DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
The woman had 10 coins and somehow she LOST ONE COIN? She searched and searched and could not find her lost coin. Will she give up? Will she change? What will she change? SHE NEEDS THE LIGHT! WHEN SHE HAS LIGHT, THE LIGHT EXPOSES DIRT. WHEN THE DIRT IS EXPOSED, SHE CLEANS THE HOUSE! WHEN SHE CLEANS THE HOUSE --- SHE WILL FIND HER LOST COIN. The lady had to do something different to change her predicament.
Luke 15:8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
Luke 15:8 (MSG) "Or imagine a woman who has ten coins and loses one. Won't she light a lamp and scour the house, looking in every nook and cranny until she finds it?
WE HAVE A CANDLE! WILL WE LIGHT IT? THE HOLY SPIRIT’S OFFICE WORK IS TO EXPOSE THE DIRT? HER JOB IS TO CLEAN THE HOUSE.
EACH INDIVIDUAL HAS A CHOICE OF DARKNESS OR LIGHT. BRIGHT LIGHT OR SHADE?
God said, God’s spoken word --- God’s presence will always bring light. The closer to God we grow the bright His light and the brighter we reflect His light.
THREE DAYS: AS PHARAOH AND EGYPT GREW MORE DISOBEDIENT AND FARTHER AWAY FROM GOD , WE THE PLAGUES GROW DARKER AND DARKER.
God tries to gain peoples attention by: 1. Turn the water into blood, 2. The frogs and one more night; 3. Lice; 4. Flies; 5. Sickness of the cattle and animals. 6. Boils; 7. Hail; 8. The locust…
Exodus 10:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.
Exodus 10:21 (MSG) GOD said to Moses: "Stretch your hand to the skies. Let darkness descend on the land of Egypt—a darkness so dark you can touch it."
DARKNESS THAT LEFT PEOPLE SIGHTLESS/BLIND. GOD’S PEOPLE HAS THE LIGHT.
Exodus 10:23 They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
Exodus 10:23 (MSG) Nobody could see anybody. For three days no one could so much as move. Except for the Israelites: they had light where they were living.
WHEN THE CRUEL RELIGIOUS CROWD KILLED GOD’S SON DARKNESS REIGNED 3 DAYS.
Matthew 27:45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
Luke 23:44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
DARKNESS CAN BE A SIGN OF GOD’S JUDGMENTS. JEREMIAH SAW THE DARKNESS AS THE HORSES ARE COMING…
Jeremiah 12:5 If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?
Joel 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; 2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. 4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. 5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
REVELATION 6: WHITE HORSE, RED HORSE, BLACK HORSE, PALE HORSE.
CONCLUSION: AS AN AIRPLANE NEEDS RUN WAY LIGHTS TO LAND AT NIGHT SO DO WE.
