EXPECT A MIRACLE!

GOD HAS SOME EXPECTATIONS OF HIS PEOPLE.
Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Micah 6:8 (NIV) 8 He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
*EXPECTATION: to look forward, linked with faith and hope, hopeful anticipation of something good, confident waiting, Godly expectations taking my human thoughts HIGHER. Expectation often involves waiting, the dream might take time, eventually.
* BIBLICAL EXPECTATION IS MORE THAN PASSIVE WISHING. Expectation takes your words, your thoughts and your actions moving in hope and faith. We cannot allow our past to define what we expect. We must expect forward.
*7 UP THE UNCOLA? THRIVES IN THE CHURCH?
1. UNBENT KNEES 2. UNKEPT PROMISES 3. UNREAD BIBLES 4. UNPAID TITHES AND OFFERINGS
5. UNTHANKFUL PEOPLE 6. UNTOLD TESTIMONIES AND WITNESS 7. UNFORGIVENESS 8. UNPRAYED PRAYERS
Psalm 62:5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. 8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
IF YOU CAN’T WAIT, YOU CAN NOT EXPECT. EXPECTATION ALMOST ALWAYS DEMANDS WAITING --- WAIT: BE READY!
Psalm 27:14 (KJV) Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Psalm 27:14 (NIV) 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
Isaiah 40:30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
HOW MANY PEOPLE IN THE BIBLE REFUSED TO WAIT?
Samuel the old Preacher told Saul wait until I get there. Saul could not wait, he went ahead and called them to worship and then he blamed the impatience on the people.
1 Samuel 13:8 And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him. 9 And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering. 10 And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him. 11 And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash; 12 Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.
13 And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.
14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.
Those that wait? Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, David, Peter ---YOU?
*AS WE WAIT WE FIND DIFFERENT KINDS OF FAITH: BELIEVING FAITH; TRUSTING FAITH THEN THERE IS EXPECTING FAITH.
Psalm 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
WE HAVE A ROCK, A REFUGE. WE CAN RUN TO… HOW CAN YOU SINK THROUGH A SOLID ROCK? THERE IS A SHELTER OF PROTECTION WE CAN EXPECT.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
ASAPH THE PRAISE LEADER IS READY TO QUIT… THEN HIS EXPECTATION RETURNS AT GOD’S HOUSE.
Psalm 73:28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
Conclusion: DO THE BEST YOU CAN, BUT ALWAYS BE PREPARED FOR THE WORST == THEN TRUST GOD’S PLAN. BLESSED ARE THOSE THAT EXPECT NOTHING, THEY SHALL RECEIVE EXACTLY WHAT THEY EXPECTED. God desires a people that are EXPECTING, WAITING AND BELIEVING. The people that say it can’t be done are being passed by those people that are doing it. WILL WE DECLARE? --- SOMETHING GOOD IS GOING TO HAPPEN, SOMETHING GOOD IS IN STORE.
James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
