ISRAEL AND IRAN – THEIR FUTURES – THE UNITED STATES
[a]. THE LORD KEEPS ISRAEL. Those with an interest in Israel and follow the events there, as we all ought to do, will not have missed the attack on Iran’s developing nuclear facilities.
This is far more than one nation attacking something in another nation. It is a strike against what is satanic and all is under the control of the LORD who – {{Psalm 121:4-5 “Behold, HE WHO KEEPS ISRAEL WILL NEITHER SLUMBER NOR SLEEP. THE LORD IS YOUR KEEPER. The LORD is your shade on your right hand.”}} Islam is a false religion with Allah being developed from one of the Baal gods. You can research that if you do not believe me.
The conflict with Israel and Iran, is a secular people (currently Israel), against a satanic Islam. Nevertheless the LORD will never forsake His people. Even when they were devastated by the Babylonians and the Romans, the LORD did not abandon them. Today they live in unbelief and rejection of their Messiah, but it won’t be long now before He will arise with healing in His wings. (Malachi 4:2). The promises made to Israel – all of them – have never been cancelled out or reneged on by the LORD. Consider these verses and PLEASE, do not do the devil’s bidding by allegorising them.
{{Isaiah 31:5 “As like flying birds so the LORD of hosts will protect Jerusalem. HE WILL PROTECT AND DELIVER IT. He will pass over and rescue it.”
{{Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans for welfare and not for calamity TO GIVE YOU A FUTURE AND A HOPE.”
Psalm 125:2 “As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from THIS TIME FORTH AND FOREVER.”
Jeremiah 3:17 “At that time they shall call Jerusalem ‘The Throne of the LORD,’ and all the nations will be gathered to it, to Jerusalem, for the name of the LORD. NOR SHALL THEY WALK ANYMORE AFTER THE STUBBORNNESS OF THEIR EVIL HEART.”}}
[b]. ISRAEL’S UNIQUE ABILITY. Even in unbelief, the LORD is true to His earthly people. Have you given a thought to the amazing way God has enabled Israel in this conflict since 2023? The technology and the expert abilities of Mossed and the defence preciseness are beyond what any other nation can do. You people who want to dismiss Israel from God’s plan, have you seriously thought why that is, that Israel is set apart with such ability?
I have been using “LORD” in this article. It is the bible’s translation for Jehovah that is the name of the covenant relationship with Israel.
Israel is the wife of Jehovah – {{Isaiah 54:6 The LORD has called you, like a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even like a wife of one’s youth when she is rejected,” says your God.}} and other references. The Church is the Bride of Christ and NEVER must the two be confounded as Augustine did by allegorising all the Old Testament references to Israel and prophecy.
In the current preemptive strike against Iran, Israel did what most nations of the Middle East would be happy about because they fear Iran's nuclear capacity. Don’t be misled, Islam is divided by factions and they vary from moderate to extreme. Extremism exists in Iran and in Palestinians. That is why not one nation of the world will import Palestinians except stupid, blind Australia and is why these imported immigrants are protesting the streets calling for the murder of the Jews and the gassing of the Jews. How can a government be so stupid?
What is to happen in the coming days? This is being written on 14 June 2025. I am no prophet. There are no prophets in our age. The whole key to this is the United States because it has the capability of taking out the real headquarters of nuclear development in Iran because it is deep underground and Israel does not have the weapons to probe that deep. What will President Trump do? I don’t know. The rising lawlessness of the communist left, aided by the Democrats and most of the mainline media is keeping him busy. The United States is on the path of its own destruction.
IRAN – WHAT OF ITS FUTURE?
Before we go any further, one thing I must say. I find it most disappointing that the mainline churches have dismissed Israel and the prophetic events outlined over and over in the Old Testament and the New as well.
It was Augustine who did much damage to the understood literalness of scripture. This is not the place to explore all that, but when one writes of the literal fulfillment of the Old Testament scriptures by treating them as allegory, or as covenant theology does, transferring Israel to the Church as if the Church was all through the Old Testament, then a grave injustice to prophecy has been done. Augustine’s teaching became the strong basis for much in the Roman Catholic Church’s teaching, and at the Reformation, the reformers simply accepted the Roman Catholic view as they did on a number of other issues as well, without proper examination of the scriptures. In that, their works were not complete.
Iran may suffer defeat in the short term but is not out of it. Alliances come and go, but Israel remains. The bible is clear on Iran’s future and its end.
Those of us who are very clear about the Rapture of the Church know that we are in the last days, and see more and more difficult times coming according to 2 Timothy 3:1-4. Israel is always God’s time clock and that time is about to sound the alarm. When the Church is taken up, the world becomes so evil and VERY lawless, and gives rise to the World Ruler/Antichrist (the first seal) who comes to make a treaty with Israel for peace for 7 years. {{Daniel 9:27 “and HE WILL MAKE A FIRM COVENANT WITH THE MANY FOR ONE WEEK, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering, and on the wing of abominations will come ONE WHO MAKES DESOLATE, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.”}}
The 7 year covenant that Antichrist makes with Israel, then breaks exactly 1260 days in (in the middle of the week) when he sets up his abomination in the Temple with the False Prophet, we assume that covenant is made initially because there is no peace in the Middle East. Antichrist will bring peace (a false peace, for – {{1 Thessalonians 5:3 While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like birth pangs upon a woman with child and they shall not escape,”}}).
That is why I see Israel in a state of war or conflict or uneasiness right up until the Rapture. The continuing hatred of the United Nations and WHO against Israel will continue, and Iran will be entrenched in continuing loathing against God’s earthly people. Nations will become more lawless as they prepare for the man of lawlessness – {{2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 “Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy [This word means the Rapture. The word really means “departure”] comes first, and THE MAN OF LAWLESSNESS IS REVEALED, the son of destruction who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.”}}
The Tribulation lasts for 7 years in fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel. The subject is much too large to do here, suffice to say that 69 of these heptads have been completed, and one remains. 7 years remain. {{Daniel 9:24 “Seventy weeks have been decreed FOR YOUR PEOPLE AND YOUR HOLY CITY - to finish the transgression, TO MAKE AN END OF SIN, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in EVERLASTING RIGHTEOUSNESS, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place.”}}
Towards the end of the 7 year Tribulation, Satan sends out his top demons for a task – {{Revelation 16:12-14 “The sixth angel poured out his bowl upon the great river, the Euphrates, and its water was dried up, that the way might be prepared for the kings from the east. I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs, for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out TO THE KINGS OF THE WHOLE WORLD, TO GATHER THEM TOGETHER FOR THE WAR OF THE GREAT DAY OF GOD, THE ALMIGHTY.”}} This is the preparation for the Battle of Armageddon. ALL the nations of the world will have troops there (Zechariah 12:3 and Zechariah 14:2-4)
WHERE DOES IRAN FIT INTO ALL THIS?
Well, at that time Iran is in an alliance with other nations bent on the final destruction of Israel. To understand that we must go to Ezekiel 38 where there is the Gog/Magog alliance spoken of – {{Ezekiel 38:1-6 The word of the LORD came to me saying, “Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, THE PRINCE OF ROSH, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, and say, Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and I will turn you about, and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them splendidly attired, a great company with buckler and shield, all of them wielding swords - PERSIA, Ethiopia, and Put with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer with all its troops; Beth-togarmah FROM THE REMOTE PARTS OF THE NORTH with all its troops — many peoples with you.”}}
These are the people nations mentioned and I need to say there is some uncertainty about some of them but one thing is abundantly clear! IRAN is mentioned (Persia), as is Rosh (many assume Russia) and those from the remote parts of the north – again, Russia. Even now Russia has been making inroads into the Middle East. God speaking says, {{Ezekiel 38:16 “and you will come up AGAINST MY PEOPLE ISRAEL like a cloud to cover the land. It will come about in the last days that I SHALL BRING YOU AGAINST MY LAND, in order that the nations may know Me when I shall be sanctified through you before their eyes, O Gog.”}}. Israel is Israel. It is not the Church. “MY LAND” – the Church is NOT the land – it is a heavenly people. MY LAND is Israel. This is not fantasy or allegory. Right at the end IRAN and these others will be gathered and will be destroyed at the Second Coming. If the Gog event is fantasy so is the Second Coming.
Iran will be there, its aim to slaughter and annihilate Israel but this is the outcome, at the same time as the Battle of Armageddon – {{Ezekiel 39:2-5 “and I shall turn you around, drive you on, take you up from THE REMOTEST PARTS OF THE NORTH, and bring you against the mountains of ISRAEL, and I shall strike your bow from your left hand, and dash down your arrows from your right hand. YOU SHALL FALL ON THE MOUNTAINS OF ISRAEL, you and all your troops, and the peoples who are with you. I shall give you as food to every kind of PREDATORY BIRD AND BEAST OF THE FIELD. You will fall on the open field for IT IS I WHO HAVE SPOKEN,” DECLARES THE LORD GOD.”}}. That will be the end of Iran – food for the carrion birds!
I believe Iran will be no more after this. Today there is a great turning to the Lord for salvation in Iran. God is calling a people for Himself, but they will go at the Rapture to leave a hateful nation behind. It is God who deals with Russia, Iran, Libya, Ethiopia, Turkey and others we are uncertain about; it won’t be the Israeli army that attacks them. The God of great wrath will curse those who dare lift up their hand against Israel –
{{Genesis 12:1-3 “Now the LORD said to Abram, “Go forth from your country and from your relatives and from your father’s house to the land which I will show you, and I will make you a great nation and I will bless you and make your name great, and so you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you AND THE ONE WHO CURSES YOU I WILL CURSE. In you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” That was promised to Abraham 4 000 years ago but is one of these universal truths.”}}
Martin Luther cursed the Jews (one of my postings speaks on that) when he turned against them, and I have been reading some of Reformed Theology’s articles about that position and they take great pains to distance themselves from what Luther said, as does the Lutheran Church, while other Reformed sites spend time trying to explain they are not anti-Semitic as if they have a conscience about it.
Why am I mentioning these things about Reformed Theology? Please do not misunderstand. It all goes back to the dismissal of Israel by some of their teachings. The promises of Israel are certain and must not be written off and applied to the Church. It does not work. Why do you think Israel has miraculously come together after 2 600 years of foreign domination and dispersion to possess its own land? The answer is simple. God is working His purposes out and now will keep Israel. It will not be defeated but it will have tough times ahead.
When I was away on holidays I attended a Reformed church for a few weeks for my daughter was there, and one thing I noticed in discussion was that people have a very poor understanding of the prophetic books of the Old Testament; almost a nil understanding. They may know Isaiah 53 but any in-depth study of the prophets, verse by verse, to understand the content is absent. I am not blaming anyone, except the pastors and ministers of churches who are responsible for that lack of understanding and effort.
THE FUTURE OF ISRAEL
I have covered just a small area on Israel in the Tribulation, but when the LORD returns to His people, accompanied by His Church at the Second Coming, and stands on the Mount of Olives – {{Zechariah 14:3-4 Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on THE MOUNT OF OLIVES, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south”}} – then His people Israel will come into full blessing according to ALL the Old Testament prophetic passages.
I won’t outline these because I have them on SermonCentral under the “RESTORATION OF Israel”. One belief that some have, is that at the Second Coming, Jesus catches up His Church and immediately returns with them to earth. They try to accommodate 1 Thessalonians 4. That makes no sense whatever. In fact the Church is in heaven for the duration of the 7 year Tribulation, and at the end of that time, [IN HEAVEN] the Marriage Supper of the Lamb happens IN HEAVEN described at the start of Revelation 19, followed by the Second Coming including the Battle of Armageddon (also Revelation 19). That means the Church was in heaven all the time!
THE UNITED STATES
One thing I find I have to do sometimes is try to refute the error that the United States is found in prophecy in the bible. Some Christians think the USA is so important it HAS TO BE in scripture. That is false. All biblical prophecy features on Israel and the only time Gentile nations are mentioned, such as Iran, is when it impacts Israel.
God has blessed the United States over this past century because of its help for Israel. It resonates with the promise given earlier that those who bless Israel will be blessed, and those who curse Israel will be cursed. The USA had a very bad wobble during Obama and Biden who both hated Israel.
Now as an outsider speaking, the United States is starting to fall apart. Corruption, greed, lawlessness, WOKE, universal immorality, and a weaker and weaker church chasing after prosperity and word of faith practices, and liberalism, is destroying this nation. Half the nation supports the godless Democrats (not that the Republicans are that much better, but many are!).
Recent history has proven a nation that is losing its way and is beginning to express violence and lawlessness (Los Angeles). It is not a defence to say some parts of the world are worse. Yes, they are, but the consideration is “how far the USA has fallen” in very recent times.
I know I have wandered all over the place in this article but it is such a big issue. What I want from it is for people to respect Israel; to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and to understand the great prophecies that govern the nation’s future. There is so much that would oppose that because Satan hates Israel. God’s purposes are being worked out!
