Luke 7:36 And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. 37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, 38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. 39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner. 40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. 41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. 42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? 43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged. 44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. 45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. 46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
WHAT IS THE RELIGIOUS CROWD DOING? WHY TROUBLE THIS WOMAN? MARY DID NOT REALIZE WHAT SHE WAS DOING. SHE JUST WAS DOING WHAT SHE COULD, WHEN SHE COULD, WHERE SHE COULD. WHERE EVER THE GOSPEL SHALL BE PREACHED HER KIND, LOVING DEEDS WILL BE TAUGHT.
Matthew 26:10 When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. 11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. 12 For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. 13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
Mark 14:8 She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying. 9 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
My friend be faithful to your post of duty. Give what you can, where you can, when you can, YOU MAY NEVER BE THANKED BUT GOD REWARDS THE FAITHFUL.
DEAL OR NO DEAL? WE BELIEVE THAT BY GIVING AND RETURNING TO GOD HIS PART WE COME INTO A COVENANT AGREEMENT WITH HIM. WE OFTEN SEE MY PART IS SO LITTLE… 10% VERSES 90% AND GOD’S BLESSINGS IS FAR MORE THAN 100% AND A CURSE ON MY HANDS.
Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. 7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return? 8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
The gift of tithing is not just to meet the financial needs of the church. Tithing acknowledges and releases the COVENANT BLESSING OF GOD. Tithing breaks the bondage of money. Tithing breaks the bondage of never enough. Tithing breaks the POVERTY SPIRIT OFF PEOPLE’S NECK. God invites people TO PROVE HIS COVENANTAL BLESSINGS ARE MORE THAN PHYSICAL… GOD PROMISES TO OPEN THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN TO POUR OUT HIS BLESSINGS. God’s plan: 10% releases the COVENANTAL BLESSINGS OF GOD… Those that are faithful to giving will be BLESSED.
LOOK AT ALL THE BIG SHOTS GIVING BIG OFFERINGS… MY LITTLE PART WILL NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
A POOR WIDOW MADE A DIFFERENCE WHEN SHE WAS GENEROUS WITH HER LITTLE PART. GOD NEEDS GENEROUS HEARTS TO CONTRIBUTE THEIR “LITTLE” FOR YOU SEE LITTLE IS MUCH IF GOD IS IN IT. WHO DOES JESUS BLESS?
Mark 12:41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. 42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. 43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: 44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
I AM SORRY: I HAVE MISSED THIS CALLING IN MY MINISTRY. GOD’S ONLY SON PREPARES FOR HIS SEVENTH TRIUMPHAL ENTRY INTO JERUSALEM. MY JOB IS TO UNTIE THE DONKEY… GOD NEEDS YOU TO GO GET THE DONKEY.
Did God want his son to make a grand entrance by a lear jet? How about in a long black limousine? Call the world news tonight and use the tool of mass media? No, the call of God’s son is: Somebody has to go untie the donkey so Jesus can borrow it. THIS IS CRAZY, WALK ½ MILE TO FIND A TIED UP DONKEY? YES, JESUS NEEDED THE DONKEY BUT TWO PEOPLE WALKING SET THE MIRACLE IN ACTION.
Luke 19:28 And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem. 29 And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, 30 Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither. 31 And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him. 32 And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them. 33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt? 34 And they said, The Lord hath need of him.
I HAVE TAUGHT God needs your donkey… the call is deeper than that… God needs someone to be bold enough to untie the donkey and bring it to him. Untie your time? Untie money? Untie your family? Untie so Jesus can use it… Untie generosity? --- kindness? BIG DEAL, GOD’S CALL IS TO UNTIE THE DONKEY-- THE GREAT GOD WANTS THE TO BORROW THE DONKEY, BUT JESUS ASK SOMEONE TO UNTIE THE DONKEY IN BOLDNESS. JESUS WANTS US TO TRUST HIS PLAN TO GO FIND THE DONKEY AND TO UNTIE IT. TWO PEOPLE OPEN THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE TRIUMPHAL ENTRY OF GOD’S SON… WHAT DO WE NEED TO UNTIE?

PUNCTUCTION IS NOT IN THE HEBREW BIBLE… SOMEWHERE IN THE ENGLISH TRANSLATION THERE IS A COMMA IN THE WRONG PLACE…WHEN THE ENEMY COMES IN, --- LIKE A FLOOD THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD SHALL LIFT.

WE MUST FIND A HIDING PLACE, AS OTHERS PLOT AGAINST US --- GOD HIDES AND PROTECTS. YOU HIDE, GOD WILL PROVIDE.

NOT ME, BUT GOD IN ME --- MY PART BY ITSELF IS NEVER ENOUGH. IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO JUST WORK HARD. WE MUST BELIEVE --- BELIEVE, YES, BELIEVE HARD.
WE ARE NOT THE SHEPHERDS, WE ARE SHEEP, THE SHEPHERD LEADS TO GREEN PASTURES AND STILL WATERS.

THE WOLF HAS TO FIND HIS OWN FOOD. THE SHEPHERD PROVIDES FOR THE SHEEP. PROVIDER: FATHER’S PROVIDE FOR CHILDREN…
CONCLUSION: We shout out to all the Christian workers who never take the front and center of the stage… without you the church doors would be forever closed. Most of the real important vital work are those hidden from the public eyes. 1. One of the most important and unapplaud in the church are the prayer warriors and intercessors. Their secret closet is rewarded by God’s anointing. 2. Then there are those that worship and praise God privately and publicly. 3. There are the generous givers that bless the church budget and keep the church afloat. 4. Then there are those that usher, welcome and greet people. Their friendly kindness help so much. 5. There are the clerks, secretaries etc, that do the hours of endless book work. They carry the financial burdens that no one sees. They pay the bills and do much that no one ever knows about. 6. There are the musicians, sound board that often work at their own expense and seldom hear thank you. 7. Then there is the pastor’s wife that types the off the wall material and listens to her husband’s cries.
More than we see you--- GOD KEEPS GOOD RECORDS AND GOD HIMSELF WILL REWARD YOU. Someday there will be given a recognition and the great will stand back as the CROWNS WILL BE GIVEN TO THE FAITHFUL.
