Summary: After immersion the Holy Spirit gives each person spiritual gifts

The structure of the church.

Gifted Members.

When a person becomes a Christian, the Holy Spirit gives them spiritual gifts to be used to build up the church.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in it's various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised trough Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:10-11

Humble Servants.

In Acts 6, the apostles appointed men full of the spirit to oversee the physical needs of widows who were being neglected.

In the same way, deacons are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience. They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons. 1 Timothy 3:8-11

Deacons take care of the physical needs of the church.

Facilities, finances, maintenance.

Our Deacons are:

Mention the Deacons in your church. (Maybe have them stand so the church can put faces with names.)

Godly Shepherds. (Elders)

Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task. Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God's church?) He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgement as the devil. He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil's trap.

There needs to be communication between the Sheep and the Shepherds.

Let your needs be known. For 2 weeks we will have a Feedback team.

After 2 weeks the feedback team will share the feedback and with the Elders.

(Our feedback team consists of 3 regular attendees 2 men and 1 woman)

The goal is to be a church that honors God in all we do!
