JENNY THE ASCOT CAT WAS THE “TITANIC CAT” THAT FORESAW THE UNSINKABLE TITANIC.
The Titanic was leaving England for New York. Jenny was on the Titanic to help fight rodents. Jenny rode on the sea trials. After several trial runs the Titanic docked back in SouthHamptaon, England. • LISTEN is in the Bible 353 times in the Bible. HEAR is mentioned 382 times in the Bible.
• LISTENING is mentioned 19 times. Listen, hear, listening === 353 +382 + 19 = 754 x’s hear, listen, listening. GOD’S WORD SEEMS TO PUT A GREATER PRIORITY ON TO HEAR AND LISTEN IS MENTION 33xs than KISS and HUG.
• WHY CAN’T WE TRAIN OUR EARS TO LISTEN. SEEMS WE CAN TRAIN ANIMALS, DOGS, CATS, AND ELEPHANTS. SEEMS WE CAN TRAIN OUR BOWELS AND KIDNEYS… BUT WE CAN’T TRAIN OUR TONGUES AND OUR EARS TO HEAR…?
WHY IS THERE SO MUCH CHAOS IN OUR HOMES? CHAOS VS. LISTEN
*CHAOS: complete disorder, confusion, no reason, no order. Chaos becomes the NORM WHEN PEOPLE REFUSE TO LISTEN TO GOD OR LISTEN TO OTHERS.
*LISTEN: to give ear, to pay attention to sound, purpose of hearing, heed, obey, to consider, tune in,
*REPETITION: repeats
Proverbs 20:12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.
Proverbs 20:12 (MSG) Ears that hear and eyes that see— we get our basic equipment from GOD!
Is there a difference between listening and hearing? HEARING is with the ears. Listening is with the ears and with the heart. We find complete chaos where there are frozen communication lines. SEEMS MANY TALK FEW LISTEN… chaos comes from darkness… real listening brings light. WHERE JESUS IS THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF LIGHT. COMMUNICATION, LISTENING BRIGHT LIGHT. CHAOS comes with darkness of listening, communication skills. HOW CAN I IMPROVE MY LISTENING SKILLS?
LET US COME TO THIS ANCIENT PRAYER --- WHERE WE LISTEN WITH OUR EARS… MOSES STARTS THIS PRAYER WITH SHEMA. SHEMA IS LISTENING WITH ORE THAN YOUR EARS. SHEMA IS ACTION, LISTENING WITH YOUR EARS AND HEART.
Hear the ancient prayer, it starts with: HEAR O ISRAEL THE LORD IS OUR GOD.
Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
MOSES DEMANDS THAT GOD’S PEOPLE LISTEN OR PAY ATTENTION BY USING THE WORD “SHEMA.” MOSES’ WORD SHEMA MEANS MORE THAN HEARING. SHEMA IS TO HEAR AND THEN OBEY WHAT WAS SAID.
Shema is more than listen with your ears… Sure “shema” means listen but it is much deeper than hear. SHEMA MEANS HEAR ME AND DO WHAT I SAY… OBEY. Shema means more than the 3 bones in the inter-ear shaking… THE HAMMER, ANVIL AND STIR-UP the 3 smallest bones of the body… A SNAIL SHAPE FLUID FILLED WITH NERVE ENDINGS THAT SEND MESSAGES TO THE BRAIN.
I HEAR AND UNDERSTAND: WITH MY EYES… I AM STANDING ON HOLY GROUND. MOSES, MOSES … MOSES ANSWERS: HERE I AM. MOSES LEARNED TO LISTEN WITH OUR EYES… HEAR THE GREAT “I AM.” WITH THE EYES,,,

GOD REVEALS HIMSELF TO MOSES BY LISTENING WITH THE EYES… “I AM WHO I AM.”
*I HEAR AND UNDERSTAND VIA NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS… WE CALL THIS: BODY LANGUAGE.
* Often body language communicates more than words vibrating across the ear drums. Facical expressions reveal emotions, tone, voice --- volume ( not just what you say but how you say it, , movement and gestures, snort---sigh , space--- touch, in your face, body movement, I DON’T CARE.
PHARAOH might have heard with his ears, but Pharaoh’s body language refused to acknowledge Moses, Aaron or God.
Exodus 5:1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. 2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.
REPETITION, GOD REPEATS HIS TRUTHS OVER AND OVER. PHARAOH REPEATS HIMSELF OVER AND OVER BECAUSE HE REFUSES TO LISTEN. HE REFUSE TO HEAR OR LISTEN. WHEN PEOPLE REFUSE TO LISTEN AND HEAR GOD CHAOS WILL FOLLOW.
• People that refuse to listen to God and his WORD will pay dearly. Will we acknowledge that our EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS are in chaos because they refuse prayer, the Bible and truth by God’s standards.
• Our POLITICAL SYSTEMS ARE IN CHAOS, there is no peace, unity.
Matthew 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
• The roots of chaos grow strong where there is a cry for safety (protection, danger, risk. and peace. Chaos comes from not listening….
1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
• APOSTASY: REJECTION. TODAY WE FIND A GREAT FALLING AWAY FROM THE CHURCH BECAUSE PEOPLE REFUSE TO LISTEN…
2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
• THERE COMES FAMINES, PESTILENCES, DISEASES, AND PANDEMICS TO BRING SUFFERING CONSUMING HUMANIITY BECAUSE PEOPLE REFUSE TO LISTEN…
Luke 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
• THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEMS ARE FAILING… INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE DEFINING WHO GETS MEDICAL ATTENTION AND WHEN. SEEMS FEW LISTEN TO THE REAL NEEDS OF THE MASSES.
• CHAOS WILL ABOUND WITHIN RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS… FALSE DOCTRINES, FALSE PROPHETS, HIDDEN AGENDAS, CHAOS FROM NO CORRECTION. CORRUPTION
2 Peter 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
• TEACHING GAIN AND PROSPERITY AT THE HEARING GIVING WILL BRIBE GOD. CHAOS COMES FROM NOT LISTENING TO THE BALANCE WORD OF GOD… MEASURE SUCCESS BY MEGA CHURCH, BUDGET, JETS, MANSIONS. SEED FAITH.
WE ARE LIVING IN A WORLD OF ABSOLUTE CHAOS. CHAOS IS THE NEW NORM BECAUSE WE HAVE TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION SKILLS. GOOD GAVE US TWO EARS AND ONE MOUTH. WE NEED TO LISTEN …
James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
