Summary: Free from oppression and temptation. -Free from Satan‘s fiery darts. -Free from Satan‘s attack on our relationships, -free from suspicion and resentment and misunderstanding.

The Nine Blessings Of Heaven.

Revelation 1.1-3,9

I know I spoke on the 10 benefits of heaven but I wanted to follow up with these nine blessings of heaven.

-So are you ready?

These nine blessings of heaven–– these 9 joyous advantages, we will experience in the eternal presence of our Lord.

Some of my favorite words are found in, Revelation 1.1-3, 9NKJV The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.”

9 “I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

A BBC producer, who was planning a series of broadcast on what Christians believe, asked a clergyman how he could determine the churches views on heaven and hell?

The clergyman replied with a single word, Die.

The only problem with that is, if you waited that long, it’s too late to change your mind. There are no do overs, in eternity.

Hebrews 9.27KJV “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”

Therefore, we need to know what God’s Word teaches us about heaven as early in life as possible, so that we can experience all the beauty, benefits, and blessings of heaven in this life, as well as in the next.

Blessing number 1. No more temptation.

I’ve been a little discouraged lately with some of my so called Bible hero’s. Some mega ministries tricked and seduced by the enemy.

However, Once we get to heaven, we will truly and finally be free.

-Free from oppression and temptation.

-Free from Satan‘s fiery darts. -Free from Satan‘s attack on our relationships, -free from suspicion and resentment and misunderstanding.

Praise God, a day is coming when all of Satan‘s attacks, oppression, and temptations will come to an end!

Blessing number 2. No more loss.

To arrive in heaven is to arrive home.

This earthly life is checkered with losses. We are constantly suffering the parting ways.

I noticed that when I was younger, I wasn’t aware, but now that I’m older I begin to see people my age departing. PH.

However, there’s coming a day when we will never again suffer loss.

Although the apostle Paul was a great man of God, he suffered loss.

2 Corinthians 12:1-10NIV “I must go on boasting. Although there is nothing to be gained, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord. 2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. 3 And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— 4 was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell. 5 I will boast about a man like that, but I will not boast about myself, except about my weaknesses. 6 Even if I should choose to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain, so no one will think more of me than is warranted by what I do or say, 7 or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

The 3rd Blessing from heaven is, No more tears.

While on this earth, life has been described as a vile of tears, or a valley of weeping.

Psalm 84.6NLT When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings.

However, Revelation, 21.4 tells us that, In heaven, God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

The Bible teaches, There will be no more death, or mourning, or crying, or pain for the old order of things has passed away.

The shortest verse in the Bible, John 11.35 is two words long.

It is also one of the most profound meaningful verses in the Bible.

When Jesus goes to the village of Bethany, after the death of his friend Lazarus, the verse tells us, Jesus wept.

Thus Jesus felt the pain of lose. —Jesus wept.

However tears will be no more in heaven. PH.

The 4th blessing of Heaven is, no more death.

Listen, death is frightening and mysterious, but this prospect lies in wait for all of us. -No one‘s exempt.

Once in heaven, death vanishes into the past.

In heaven, death itself dies.

In heaven, we are home free!

Revelation 22:1-3NIV “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.”

The 5th blessing of heaven, no more regrets.

Regret is one of the worst feelings in the world:

“Oh, if only I had made a wiser decision! If only I had paid attention to the warning signs! If only I had said those words when there was still time!”

Heaven turns the page on regret.

In heaven, all unkind words and actions will be forgotten. (PH)

The 6th blessing of Heaven is, no more separation.

Revelation 21.1KJV “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”

John was on the island of Patmos. He knew his mission, he was there for the word of God sake, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

However, I’m sure he had his moments. I’m sure that when he looked across the Aegean Sea, he thought of his loved ones and fellow believers, knowing that there was a separation.

Again, Jesus says, there will be no more sea. (Separation).

Testimony, How many of you have experienced loss in the last year or so? Multiple loss in the last few years?

Again, John on the island of Patmos stated, “there will be no more sea, John meant there will be no more separation?” PH.

The seventh blessing of heaven is, no more schedules.

Revelation 21.23-25NIV “The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. 25 On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there.”

Again, no more separation, and no more light!

Because of schedules, you come off vacation tired.

Jesus never operated by a schedule. He was always filled with compassion, For those who inquired. Being about His Fathers work!

Rest is essential for every spiritual saint. Hebrews 4.1NLT God’s promise of entering his rest still stands, so we ought to tremble with fear that some of you might fail to experience it.

This rest is a full time Faith walk. -Trusting the Lord 24-7.

1 Corinthians 10, gives examples of a non-Faith walk.

The 8th Blessing of Heaven is, no more darkness.

No more darkness because of circumstances, no more darkness because of others behaviors. -Darkness will be expelled completely!

First Corinthians 13.12 now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

No more darkness!

Isaiah 62.12NIV They will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the Lord; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted.”

No more darkness!

Isaiah 60:1-3NIV ““Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. 2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. 3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”

Say, “no more darkness.”

The 9th blessing of heaven is, no more disillusionment.

You know, these difficult life experiences of disappointment, discouragement, and disillusionment.

Without Jesus, life is truly meaningless. PH.

Ecclesiastics 1.2NIV ““Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.””

I had a young man ask me a couple years ago, he was engaged to be married, he had been out of high school a couple years. He ask, “Pastor Howard, What’s next, what is life all about?”

Luke 19.13 Jesus states, “Occupy until I come.”

Jesus gave out task, in Luke 19 these words by Jesus, Occupy until I come, mean this, use the 10 talents I’ve given you until I come!

In other words, until Jesus comes, be busy with what He has given you.

Benediction. “Father, thank you for heaven, I can’t wait.”
