WARNING REAL DISGUISES. BLESSINGS OFTEN COME IN DISGUISE.

WHEN I WAS IN THE 6TH, 7TH AND 8TH GRADE IT WAS MY CHORE TO DO THE DISHES EVERY OTHER NIGHT. When it was my night it was amazing I had a headache, a really bad headache. Mom would excuse me and she would do the dishes for me. One night mom explained to me it is so unusual you only have the headache on your night for you to do the dishes. Mom said: GET IN THERE AND DO THE DISHES. Mom, it is real to me, I have a headache. She said do the dishes anyway. I was amazed at how the headaches went away? I HONESTLY THOUGHT I WAS HAVING HEADACHES. My headaches were a way of avoiding my responsibilities. It was very real to me.
PERHAPS WE THINK VAIN REPETITIONS PRAYING AND THINKING THAT MANY WORDS MAKE GOOD PRAYERS…
Matthew 6:7-8 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
I AM NOT AS OTHERS… THE PHARISEE PRAYED WITHIN HIMSELF: I DO THIS AND I DO THAT…
Luke 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
STANDING A FAR OFF --- A GOOD PRAYER IS NOT JUST ABOUT WORDS. IT IS ABOUT HUMBLE HEART. VILENESS CAN STILL APPROACH THE THRONE.
Luke 18: 13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Expressing remorse, Broken: in pieces, damaged, giving up hope,
Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
IT IS EASY TO WEAR RELIGIOUS DISGUISES… LONG PRAYERS… WE CAN MAKE THE MOTIVE OF PRAYERS TO IMPRESS
Matthew 23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
*DIGUISE: mask, a means of altering one’s appearance, conceal identity, cloak, mask, change appearance or sound so not to be recognizable. Camouflaged.
*PRETEND: to make something appear as real, it is not, to make believe, false claim.
* FAKE: counterfeit, not genuine, false claims.
EXTERNAL VS INTERNAL! WHITEWASHED VS. WASHED WHITE.
Matthew 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. 28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
THE ENEMY COMES IN AS AN ANGEL OF LIGHT. The enemy wants us to be motivated by wrong things. Do good things for the wrong motive. WE CAN LOOSE THE REALITY OF TRUE RELIGIOUS SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
BEWARE OF THE ANGEL THAT APPEARS AS LIGHT…
2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
WE MUST DO MORE THAN CURSE DARKNESS WE MUST BE THE LGHT… MANY WEAR CHRISTIAN DISGUISES? THE WHOLE WORLD IS A STAGE AND WE ARE ALL ACTORS. A GOOD CAPTAIN MAY MANURE THE SHIP WELL DURING CALM SEAS… BUT THE TRIED AND PROVEN CAPTAIN CAN GUIDE THE SHIP THROUGH TERRIBLE STORMS…
Matthew 8:27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
A CANDLE LOOSES NOTHING BY LIGHTING ANOTHER CANDLE. IT WILL MULTIPLY THE LIGHT. WE LIVE IN A WORLD WHERE PEOPLE PRETEND,,, THE GREAT PRETENDER? BY THE COMPUTER, FACEBOOK AND TICK TOC WE CAN PRETEND TO BE SOME
CONCLUSION: GOD TURNS THE CAPTIVITY… WHEN HE PRAYED…
Job 42:10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
HIS LAMP AM I
ANNIE JOHNSON FLINT
TO SHINE WHERE HE SHALL SAY;
AND LAMPS ARE NOT FOR SUNNY ROOMS,
NOR FOR THE LIGHT OF DAY;
BUT FOR THE DARK PLACES OF THE EARTH
WHERE SHAME AND WRONG AND CRIME HAVE BIRTH,
OR FOR THE MURKY TWILIGHT GRAY
WHERE WONDERING SHEEP HAVE GONE ASTRAY,
OR WHERE THE LAMP OF FAITH GROWS DIM
AND SOULS ARE GROPING AFTER HIM.
AND AS SOMETIMES A FLAME WE FIND,
CLEAR-SHINING THROUGH THE NIGHT
SO DARK WE CANNOT SEE THE LAMP—
BUT ONLY SEE THE LIGHT—
SO MAY I SHINE, HIS LOVE THE FLAME,
THAT MEN MAY GLORIFY HIS NAME.
1 Samuel 30:4 Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep. 5 And David's two wives were taken captives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite. 6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
It is always too soon to quit. Beware when the enemy comes in disguised. Try again. Try again.
