RECHARGE! GOD CAN!

2 Corinthians 4:8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
*RECHARGE: TO REGAIN ENERGY OR SPIRIT, to refill, to refresh, restore, to rejuvenate, revive, to restore a charge by CONNECTING TO ANOTHER POWER SOURCE, TO REPLENISH.
REJUVENATE: give new energy, vigor, revitalize, restore.
Let me start by asking a question: WHEN LIFE KNOCKS US DOWN ARE WE SLOW GETTING UP? ARE WE SLOW TO REBUILD HOPE? Life is not just about getting knocked down. THE REAL LESSON OF LIFE IS ABOUT GETTING UP AND TRYING AGAIN AND AGAIN.

GOD CAN RE-CHARGE AND CHANGE PEOPLE
RAHAB: THE BOOK OF JOSHUA RECORDS A WOMAN RUNNING A BROTHEL. SHE WAS A HARLOT… PROSTITUTE--- HOPELESSLY TRAPPED. Not only was RAHAB RE-CHARGED, she was changed and her family was forever changed.

Rahab is one of a handful of women of the Old Testament listed in the New Testament. RECHARGE: GOD CAN.

Rahab has the distinction of being in the family tree of King David… Then Jesus. Rahab married SALMON of the tribe of JUDAH. Rahab had a son named BOAZ.
RUTH found herself a widow in a strange land. She was a product of the welfare system of the day. She had to glean in a stranger’s field to make a meager living for her and her mother in law. The plan of God changed her from gleaning in a stranger’s field to becoming an elite member of society. She was faithful to her post of duty. God rewarded her to not just glean in a field. RUTH BECAME THE OWNER OF THE FIELD.

DO WE THROW AWAY AN EXPENSIVE FLASH LIGHT WHEN IT GROWS DIM? WHAT DO WE DO WHEN THE BATTERY (SOURCE OF POWER) GOES DEAD? IN MY SICKNESSES, TRIALS AND DISAPPOINTMENTS I HAVE LEARNED A LESSON. THE
PEOPLE THAT ARE MAD AT ME ARE NOT REALLY MAD AT ME? THEY WERE ALREADY MAD BEFORE THEY CAME TO ME. THEY ARE MAD AT THE WORLD AND I BECAME THE FOCAL POINT. SHALL WE INVITE OUR JUDAS’ TO SUP AND DINE WITH US?

TO RECHARGE WE MUST DEVELOP A NEW ATTITUDE. Let us realize the battery is dying.

MORBID? DISTURBING, AN UNPLEASANT DISEASE. HAVE WE NOT LEARNED THIS IS NOT AN EXTERNAL BATTLE? WE ARE AT WAR WITH DEAD BATTERIES. WE HAVE LEARNED WE ARE FACING A TERMINAL MORBID CHALLENGE, I AM GOING TO CRAWL IN A HOLE, EAT A WORM AND DIE? WE MUST REFUSE TO ROLL OVER AND PLAY DEAD.
OUR JOURNEY IS A BLUEPRINT… ADVERSARY, TROUBLE, TRIALS, HURT, PAIN AND DISAPPOINTMENTS ARE OPEN DOORS OF OPPORTUNITY. WILL THIS PROBLEM BECOME MOTIVATION TO LAUNCH HIGHER?
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
* MOTIVATION: the driving force, the desire or willingness, the reason we act or behave.
SO IT IS ALRIGHT GOD… IT’S OK! I TRUST YOU! RECHARGE.
Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Think about hell? IN HELL THERE WILL BE TOTAL DARKNESS… BECAUSE JESUS IS THE LIGHT.
In hell there will be no friends, only enemies. People like Hitler, Dalmer… What a friend we have in Jesus.
In hell there will be no water, give me one drop? Jesus is the living water.
In hell there will be no peace. Jesus is the prince of peace.
In hell all will be malice and hatred there will be no love for GOD IS LOVE.
In hell the stink will be terrible, burning flesh. Jesus is the rose of Sharon.
In hell there will be no comfort or relief. As the Holy Spirit is the comforter.
In hell there will be no hope… no rest… fear, worry… stress. HELL WILL BE HELL!
CONCLUSION: Our battle is with choices. Our challenge might me will my circumstances and situations define and control me? How will I respond --- will I RECHARGE. Will I grow more negative and angry?

My dear friend, there must be a storm to see rainbows. Joy depends on your thinking patterns. We must submit to RECHARGING THE INNER PERSON. Lay aside the irritations and pick up THE JOY OF THE LORD.
