Romans 3:23 succinctly captures the universal reality of sin. It declares that every individual, irrespective of background or status, is affected by sin. Sin is not merely external actions but a condition of the heart—a state of falling short of God's perfect and holy standard.
Psalm 51:5 (NLT): "For I was born a sinner—yes, from the moment my mother conceived me."
In Psalm 51:5, we encounter David's heartfelt confession of his sinful nature. He acknowledges that sin is not merely something acquired through actions but is inherent from birth—a condition passed down through generations. This verse highlights the universality of sin's presence in human nature.
Ephesians 2:1-3 (NLT): "Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. Romans 6:23a (NLT): "For the wages of sin is death..."

Ezekiel 18:4 (NLT): "For all people are mine to judge—both parents and children alike. And this is my rule: The person who sins is the one who will die."
