TODAY VS TOMORROW, TOMORROW #2

TODAY MAY APPEAR CRUEL, HANG IN THERE JOY IS COMING. This too shall pass.
Psalm 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Let me start with a story. There was a very smart and pretty woman hired in at a cotton factory. She was so quick to learn and was doing so well. Her foreman said I only have one lesson for you to know, if the threads on your machine get tangled up, call for me immediately. I will come and fix it. On the third day something went wrong and the lady tried to fit to untangle the threads on her machine. The more she tried to untangle the cotton threads the worse they got. Finally after 2 hours she called her boss to come. When he saw the mess of tangled threads, he said: YOU TRIED TO UNTANGLE THE THREADS DIDN’T YOU. She confessed: I DID MY BEST, I TRIED TO UNTANGLE THREADS. The foreman said: NO MA’ME, YOU DID NOT DO YOUR BEST. I TOLD YOU WHEN THE THREADS GET TANGLED, DON’T TRY TO UNTANGLE THEM.
CALL ME AND I WILL FIX THE MESS. YOU TRIED TO FIXED IT YOURSELF AND DID NOT CALL ME. YOUDID NOT DO YOUR BEST, YOUR BEST WOULD HAVE BEEN TO CALL ME BEFORE THINGS GOD SO BAD…
This is the story of life, instead of coming to God, we try to fix things and make them worse. We must learn to the best thing is to call for the FATHER in JESUS’ NAME AND TRUST HIS PLAN.
TODAY VS TOMORROW.
*THE SUN WILL COME OUT TOMORROW, bet your bottom dollar, that tomorrow there will be sun!
Just thinking about tomorrow clears the cobwebs away, and the sorrow until there is none.
When I'm stuck with a day that's gray and lonely, I just stick out my chin, and grin, and say, oh
The sun will come out tomorrow; Oh, you gotta hang on 'til tomorrow, come what may

TODAY? TOMORROW? JONAH WAS IN THE BELLY OF THE GREAT FISH 3 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS…. HOPELESS… IT LOOKS DARK… BUT THERE IS A TOMORROW…
Jonah 1:17 Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
My opinion Jonah never ate Captain D’s again. 3 dark days. TOMORROW, JONAH WILL SEE THE SUN? SON? AGAIN!
Jonah 2:9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD. 10 And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
ON FRIDAY ALL HOPE WAS DESTROYED. ALL THE MEN FLEED IN FEAR. THE IS A COLD, DEAD BODY… JOSPEPH PLEADS FOR THE BODY OF JESUS. IT IS FINISHED? IT IS OVER? FRIDAY IS HERE…
John 19:38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. 39. And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred
as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
FRIDAY IS THE DARKESNT DAY IN ALL HISTORY. DEMONS REJOICED… THE GRAVE WON.
Matthew 27:59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
TODAY IT REALLY LOOKS BAD, WE HAVE WORRIED ALL NIGHT: DID YOU SEE HOW BIG THAT STONE IS AT THE MOUTH OF THE TOMB? THEY WORRIED ALL NIGHT?
On the way to the tomb the women kept asking the question: WHO WILL ROLL THE STONE AWAY. That night and that morning
Mark 16:3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
TOMORROW, TOMORROW THINGS WILL LOOK DIFFERENT. Worry has no profit!
Luke 24:2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
Jesus knew tomorrow was going to different than today. Then they remember JESUS TOLD US ALL ABOUT THIS…
Luke 24:8 And they remembered his words,
TODAY LOOKS REALLY BAD… JESUS IS CRUCIFIED! ALL OF ARE HOPE IS NOW IN THE GRAVE.
Luke 24:20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
THERE IS NO TOMORROW… JESUS, OUR HOPE IS DEAD.
Luke 24:18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
WE TRUSTED --- TRUSTED IS PAST TENSE…
Luke 24:21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
SPENDING TIME WITH JESUS CHANGES ONE’S PERSPECTIVE…
Luke 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
TODAY? NEVER QUIT TODAY! TOMORROW MIGHT BRING DELIVERANCE. 40 IS A TYPE… TOMORROW DELIVERANCE WILL COME. 40 IS NOT THE FINAL TESTIMONY. It is always too soon to quit. Try again.
* 40 APPEARS 157 X’S. 40 is associated with CHANGE. 40 MAY SEEM BAD, BUT JOY COMES…
* HUMAN GESTATION IS AROUND 40 WEEKS.
* LENT SEASON LAST 40 DAYS. 40 IS NOT THE END UNLESS WE ALLOW IT.
* 40 LASHES THE PUNISHMENT BY SANHEDRIN
* SAUL, DAVID AND SOLOMON RULED 40 YEARS… TODAY MAY SEEM TERRIBLE, HANG OF TOMORROW IS COMING. The Bible recalls a lesson it rained 40 days and 40 nights. On day 41 the rain stopped.
* NOAH WAITED 40 DAYS AFTER THE TOPS OF THE MOUNTAINS WERE SEEN, BEFORE RELEASING THE RAVEN.
*MOSES SPEND 40 YEARS IN THE PALACE THINKING HE WAS HOT STUFF
*4O YEARS IN THE DESERT, THINKING HE WAS NOBODY
*40 YEARS DOING GOD’S WORK, HE LEARNED GOD WAS EVERYTHING Moses committed murder and hid in the desert 40 years, but year 41 came TO RETURN. God called Moses to return to rescue Israel.
*THE SPIES WERE SENT BY MOSES FOR 40 DAYS TO EXPLORE THE PROMISE LAND. TODAY MAY SEEM BAD, A NEW DAY IS COMING.
*Moses FASTED 40 DAYS AND NIGHTS TO PREPARE TO RECEIVE THE LAW. A NEW DAY IS COMING.
MOSES was up on the mountain 40 days, on day 41 Moses received the 10 commandments and came down the mountain.
* THE MAMNA CAME DOWN 40 YEARS. Then when the crops grew, the manna stopped.
* 40 WRITTERS OF THE BIBLE, 32 OT, 8 NT… GOD FINISHED THE BIBLE IN VICTORY.
* 40 HOURS WORK WEEK. NEW DAY!
*The Israelites wandered 40 years in the wilderness. Year 41 they walked into the Promised Land. New day.
* ELIJAH WALKED 40 DAYS AND NIGHTS TO REACH HOREB THE MOUNTAIN OF GOD. A new day comes.
* ELIJAH WENT 40 DAYS ON ONE MEAL. A NEW DAY CAME.
*Goliath taunted Israel 40 days twice a day. On day 41 David came with his sling and 5 smooth stones. Victory comes.
*Jonah preached the message of repentance to Nineveh for 40 days. On the 41 day, God had mercy and stopped the plan of judgment.
*Jesus fasted 40 days in the wilderness on the 41st day Angels came to minister to Jesus and the devil fled away.
* JESUS FASTED 40 DAYS AND NIGHT TO PREPARE FOR HIS PUBLIC MINISTRY.
*After the resurrection Jesus appeared for 40 days. On 41 Jesus ascended to heaven.
*40 DAYS BETWEEN RESURRECTION AND THE ASCENSION. A new hope! Jesus at the right hand of the Father.
Conclusion: Don’t quit on 30, 39, or 40. 41 is coming. The number 40 is connected to the fulfillment of God’s promises and stepping into new victory. Hang in there. 40 is associated with the theme of testing, trials and judgment. This season shall pass. A new day is coming. We must trust: 40 signifies new life, new growth, this too pass.
