DEPLETED? THERE IS AN ALL OUT WAR AGANST PEACE!

*Many say there are 6 basic emotions that everything flows from: 1. Fear, 2. Anger, 3. Sadness, 4. Joy, 5. Love, 6. Peace.
Check the KJV of the Bible out: PEACE IS USED 429 TIMES. The repetition and reoccurrence of the term peace reflects how important PEACE IS TO THE BELIEVER.
DO WE HEAR AND RECEIVE THE PROMISES OF GOD?
Psalm 29:11 The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.
*PEACE: Harmony, Calm, content, no conflict, quiet, tranquility, free from disturbance, no war, no strife, no persecution, no drama, no chaos, wholeness, reconciliation. Peace: EXTERNAL: (outer) --- INTERNAL (inner)
We can have peace with God, peace with the family, emotional peace, relational peace and internal peace.
PEACE IS A DIVINE GIFT IF WE REST AND TRUST THAT IMMANUEL, GOD IS WITH US.
John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
WANT TO HEAR A GOOD PRAYER? HAVE YOU EVER HEARD THE PRAYER OF “I DON’T KNOW?”
Be still and listen to the very heart of God. Just lay down at the foot of the throne of God and say: GOD, I DON’T KNOW! I TRUST YOUR PLAN!
God, I don’t know how I got here? God, I don’t know what is going on? God, I don’t know what is going to happen? God, I don’t understand this situation? God, I don’t know how to get out of this mess? God, my feelings, my mind and my emotions are playing games in my head and I don’t know what to do to stop this? God, I don’t see a way out of this, I just don’t know what to do? I don’t know what will happen to my family and friends? Please God, I don’t know any solution that can fix this mess. GOD I DON’T KNOW! BUT GOD, I DO KNOW I CAN TRUST YOU!
PEACE AT TIMES CAN BE LIKE RAPIDS IN THE RIVER.
Isaiah 48:18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:
Isaiah 48:18 (NLT2) Oh, that you had listened to my commands! Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea.
You can reach down and touch the swift flowing rapids in the river as it jets by. Know this, you can’t touch the same water twice. Once the flow of the water passes you it will never come by you again in the same way. WE MUST LEARN THE PRACTICE OF PEACE, LOVE. WE MUST FIND PEACE IN EACH OPPORTUNITY THAT WE FACE.
HAVE WE EVER EVALUATED WHAT STEALS OUR PEACE? ARE YOU ALWAYS IRRITABLE? SHOW ME WHAT ANGERS YOU? HE WHO ANGERS YOU CONTROLS YOU!
WE ARE PEOPLE THAT SEEMS TO BASE SUCCESS ON FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS. Seems there are external and internal pressures, burdens, depression and trials that will WEIGH US DOWN and steal our peace.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7 (MSG) Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
WHAT IS REAL PEACE? DEFINE PEACE? PEACE? What does peace feel like? What does peace look like? Pseudo peace? Do we know there is a peace that can’t not be bought at any price? Peace can be a divine gift. WHAT STEALS DIVINE PEACE? THE SEEDS YOU PLANT WILL DETERMINE THE HARVEST YOU REAP.
ARE WE FULLY PERSUADED? NOTHING IN THIS LIFE WILL TROUBLE YOU ANY MORE THAN YOUR OWN THINKING PATTERNS.
2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
2 Timothy 1:12 (NLT2) That is why I am suffering here in prison. But I am not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return
2 Timothy 1:12 (MSG) 12 It's also the cause of all this trouble I'm in. But I have no regrets. I couldn't be more sure of my ground—the One I've trusted in can take care of what he's trusted me to do right to the end.
PEACE? JUST HONOR THE PLAN THAT GOD HAS FOR YOU.
Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Why would we refuse divine peace? We can change! WE KNOW THAT A RAZOR IS VERY SHARP, BUT YOU CAN’T CUT DOWN A TREE WITH A RAZOR BLADE. WE KNOW THE AXE IS SHARP BUT YOU CAN’T CUT A PERSON’S HAIR WITH THE AXE.
THERE ARE SEVERAL REASONS WE WILL CHANGE.
1. You will change when you really desire to change.
2. You will change when the pain of not changing becomes greater than the pain of staying the same.
3. You will change when you are hurting enough to open your eyes to the facts this will not accomplish my goals.
Psalm 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
IS PERFECT PEACE AVAILABLE TO A BELIEVING BELIEVER?
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Isaiah 26:3 (MSG) People with their minds set on you, you keep completely whole, Steady on their feet, because they keep at it and don't quit.
CONCLUSION: We have several symbols of peace: the DOVE, the OLIVE BRANCH and the V HAND SIGNAL. The question is will we accept and live daily in DIVINE PEACE? We must find the level of peace that comes from trusting God’s word. PEACE IS KIND OF LIKE SHOCK ABSORBERS on a car.
JUST BECAUSE YOU SCREAM THE LOUDEST DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE RIGHT. WE CAN CHOOSE FUSSING, GRIPPING, WORRY, ANXIETY, FEAR, ANGER --- AS A CHOICE. The world’s peace depends on the circumstances you are facing. God’s peace knows the presence of Jesus will lead us and keep us. PEACE CAN BE LIKE THE IRON DOME TO PROTECT US.
Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
The world cannot give you lasting peace. God’s peace: You can have stupid peace. Peace that does not make sense according to the circumstances you are facing. Do we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God’s peace brings comfort and joy?
2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 (MSG) May the Master of Peace himself give you the gift of getting along with each other at all times, in all ways. May the Master be truly among you!
