You need 7 candles to light. 1 red candle larger than the other candles. 1 light purple candles, 1 dark purple candle,
1 light purple candle, 1 pink candle, 1 white candle, 1 gold candle. I have a lighter to light the red candle. All other candles will light off the red candle.
MANY PEOPLE SEEM TO LOVE DARKNESS RATHER THAN LIGHT.
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
ON MY FIRST MISSIONARY TRIP TO HAITI I ANNOUNCED MY SELF AS A CANDLE OF THE LORD. I GIVE MYSELF FOR THE LIGHT. THE CANDLE REPRESENTS BELIEVERS, THE FIRE REPRESENTS GOD/HOLY SPIRIT.
As I walked among them the next three years they would say here comes the candle/light.
Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
GOD’S CREATIVE POWER: HE SAYS AND THE LIGHT COMES. ALL LIFE AS WE KNOW IT IS DEPENDENT OF THE LIGHT.
I have read a burning candle’s light can be seen for 10 miles under the right conditions.
A taper-type candle typically burns at a steady rate releasing heat at roughly 80W. So a burning candle both burns with heat that creates light.
THE POWER OF THE SPOKEN WORD:

JESUS IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.

WE ARE REFLECTIVE LIGHT, AS THE SUN AND MOON, SO ARE WE.
JUST AS THE MOON, WE ARE THE REFLECTIVE LIGHT IN THIS WORLD.

THE CANDLE OF GOD EXPOSES SIN. WHEN THE SIN IS REVEAL WE MUST CLEAN UP DIRT! THE CANDLE IN THE BIBLE IS SYMBOLIC OF CONNECTING PEOPLE, BRIGHTEN OUR TIREDNESS. THE CANDLE FOCUSES ON CALMNESS THAT REJUVENATES INDIVIDUALS

Luke 15:8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
LET US SEARCH THE LIGHT THAT GIVES THE GOOD GIFTS GOD GIVES HIS CHILDREN.
According to the records I have found this derivative of this lesson was first preached by a Lutheran minister in 1893 in Germany. I have adapted this lesson to our local congregation. As we prepare ourselves for worshiping King Jesus
1. WE HAVE A TALL RED CANDLE IN THE CENTER of the six candles. We have 7 candles total. THE RED CANDLE is the main candle and all the other candle are lit from the red candle. These candles represent the light that brings illumination of the GIFTS FROM GOD… All the candles have to lit off the center red candle.
We have arranged the candles in a circle around the red candle. We cannot bypass Jesus. The circle speaks of great potential. The circle teaches us of wholeness, completion, UNENDING LOVE, WITHOUT BEGINNING OR END, PERFECTION. Life is a circle from birth to death.
THERE IS THE GIFT OF THE RED CANDLE. The blood of Christ shed for us. The red represents the sacrifice of God giving his LOVE by giving God’s only son. Jesus was willing to DRINK FROM THIS BITTER CUP OF SUFFERING.
BLOOD: the average human has between 8 and 10 pints of blood. The fluid of life, blood transports oxygen from lungs to the body and removes carbon dioxide from the body to the lungs.
Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Matthew 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
AS OFT AS YOU DO THIS DRINK OF MY BLOOD…
2. THE SECOND CANDLE REPRESENTS HOPE. (LIGHT PURPLE) THE CANDLE OF HOPE MUST BE LIT OFF THE RED CANDLE.
HOPE IS A FEELING OF EXPECTATION, A FEELING OF TRUST. BELIEVING.
Have you ever thought my situation will never get better? Nothing can help me? I have nothing to live for?
Hope here and hope in eternity. This obstacle is a great opportunity. NOTHING GOOD CAN COME WHEN HOPE DIES!
HOPE CAN SEE THE LIGHT OF A CANDLE IN THE DARKEST NIGHT.
We must reach people to inspire a great hope. We must ignite the flame of God to the hopeless. Hope will give love. Disappointments come and go but we must never lose our hope.
We need something in suffering and hard times. The saddest person in the world is not a person with no money. The saddest person is the one with no hope.
Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Hopelessness is contagious. We must realize HOPE CAN BE CONTAGIOUS. Hope is better than medicine.
HOPE: MAY I REMIIND YOU IF THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS THERE WOULD BE NO SUCCESS. WE WOULD NEVER ACHIEVE IF THERE WERE NO STRUGGLES.
PESSIMIST CAN SEE GREAT DIFFICULTY IN EVERY OPPORTUNITY. THOSE FILLED WITH HOPE CAN SEE OPPORTUNITY IN EVERY DIFFICULTY.
SIN SEPERATED US FROM GOD AND FROM MANKIND. WE have hope in the birth, death and resurrection of God. HOPE IS THE CONFIDENT EXPECTATION OF WHAT GOD HAS PROMISED.
Jesus came to rescue and restore fallen man to the be the bridge to grace and mercy.
JESUS IS THE ONLY HOPE
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
Hope keeps our soul in the right place especially in a storm. No matter what the circumstance, how we feel, or what we see--- WE MUST DROP OUR ANCHOR TO THE SOLID ROCK OF HOPE. We must NOT WORRY. Pray and wait in hope.
3. WE LIGHT THE THIRD CANDLE FROM THE CENTER RED CANDLE. THE GIFT OF LIGHT IS THE CANDLE REPRESENTING FAITH. (DARK PURPLE)
Faith is a reliance and trust, strong belief in God, complete trust and confidence, belief without proof.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Can you buy faith? How do we get faith?
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
GOD’S WORD MEANS BREATHED OUT. God gives us His word. The word of God does the work of God.
Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
4. AGAIN WE MUST RETURN TO THE RED CANDLE GOD HAS A GREAT GIFT TO THOSE THAT WILL RECEIVE. THE FOURTH CANDLE REPRESENTS JOY. (Light purple)Joy is a fruit of the spirit. Joy is a choice. JOY IS A GIFT THAT JESUS GIVES (LIGHT PURPLE) THAT YOUR JOY MAY BE COMPLETE. Joy is a spiritual principle.
Psalm 30:11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
JOY: a pattern of Positive emotions, Contentment. True joy is limitless, . Joy transforms lives. Gladness of heart.
John 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
QUIT CRYING AND CELEBRATE.
Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
5. THE FIFTH GIFT CANDLE REPRESENTS THE GIFT OF LOVE AND PEACE. (PINK) (LIT OFF THE RED) Peace and love are choices just like joy.
PEACE: quiet, stress free, calm, harmony, absence of hostility or violence, no conflict, free from disturbance. Knowing God is on your side and finding rest.
John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
Psalm 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
6. THERE IS A GIFT PURCHASED MY JESUS’ SACRIFICE… THE WHITE CANDLE REPRESENT THE POWER OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS TO WASHES US AS WHITE AS SNOW.
Psalm 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
7. THE LAST GIFT WE WILL DISCUSS WILL BE A GOLD CANDLE REPRESENTS HEAVEN, GOD. GOLD IS A “SAFE HAVEN” ON EARTH.
GOLD IS THE ATOMIC NUMBER 79. GOLD DOES NOT NEED THE BACKING OF ANY PERSON, BANK OR GOVERNMENT.
Gold is a rare element. Gold is hard to extract. Gold is a very dense metal. Gold will never rust, tarnish or lose its shine.
GOLDS’ Melting point of gold is 1948 --- the years Israel was established. Gold is the only yellow metal. Gold is rarer than diamonds. It is the most enduring element we know. Gold is a symbol of wealth.
The largest gold nugget was found in Australia in 1869, they named the nugget WELCOME STRANGE. It weigh 173 pounds.
GOLD IS SCARE, DURABLE AND PLIABLE.
CONCLUSION: GOD HAS GIVEN US GIFTS. WHAT DO WE GIVE HIM IN RETURN? 7 candles: 1. Hope, 2. Faith, 3 Joy, 4. Peace, 5. Life, 6. Cleansing, 7 God. Accept these gifts.
