LOST IN THE MAZE. IDENTIFY THE TRIGGERS!

*MAZE: CONFUSING. In a maze it is easy to get lost. It is a network of paths as a puzzle through which you have to find the right way.
*FRUSTRATE: annoyed, IRRITABILITY, temper tantrums, to bring to nothing, vain (useless), to break, to make void, explosive outbursts, argumentative, hostile and enraged.
THE ADRENAL GLANDS FLOOD YOUR MIND AND BODY WITH STRESS HORMONES. We call it bipolar, depression, stress. Your heart rate builds, blood pressure gets higher, breathing increases, SLEEPING PROBLEMS, chronic sickness and pain. Have we ever tried to identify the triggers?
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GET ENGAGED AND MARRY FRUSTRATION?
*DEFINE FRUSTRATION: to give your best effort and see little to no results, the feeling of being upset or annoyed, the inability to change something, no confidence, you can’t do what you want.
When we get engaged and marry frustration, we accept the whole family. Anger, Weary, Distracted Focus, Depression, Aggravation, Staying the Same and to Blame. ALL THESE IN-LAWS MOVE IN WITH YOUR NEW WIFE! IS IT UNTIL DEATH DO US PART?
FRUSTRATION AND THE MOTH! REMEMBER WE HAVE A LARGE CANDLE BURNING IN FRONT OF THE CHURCH. REMEMBER THE DEADLY COST OF FRUSTRATION?
Luke 17:32 Remember Lot's wife.
We pretend to be camping out. The candle represents the camp fire. The temperatures start dropping at night. The moth feels the heat ascending from the camp fire. The light of the fire attracts the moth. The moth gets frustrated by the cool air. He flies closer and closer. The heat from the fire helps the frustration to fade away. The frustrated-driven pretty little moth flies closer to the light and is really enjoying the heat. The frustration of the cool night is gone. The fire’s heat brings joy to the frustrated moth. THE MOTH CAN’T SEE THE DANGER THE COOL FRUSTRATION HAS BROUGHT. Soon there is a foul smell in the air. The attraction of the light and the warmth of the fire --- the moth has caught on fire and falls into the flame. FRUSTRATION BRINGS THE LURE TO LOOK BACK.
AM I IN A MAZE? FRUSTRATION CREATES A LONGING AND DISTORTS THE VISION… WHILE WE REMEMBER, HAVE WE FORGOTTEN THE KILLING OF THE BABY BOYS, THE BRICKS, THE SLAVERY, THE MISTREATMENT?
Numbers 11:5 We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:
WE ARE IN A MAZE! NOT EVEN A MINNOW? WE ARE EXHAUSTED! I AM SO TIRED OF NOTHING…FISHING? YES, CATCHING FISH PROVIDES US WITH FOOD… BUT REMEMBER THE CAREER CHOICE, CATCHING FISH IS HOW WE PAY THE BILLS. FISHING IS NOT A HOBBY. FISHING IS MY FINANCIAL PROVISION…
We have done the best we know how. The bills are due. We worked hard and toiled all night. We are professional fishermen. We have tried every trick we know.
Luke 5:5a And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing:
Luke 5:5a (NLT2) 5 “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing.
ARE WE LOST IN THE MAZE? WE WILL TRUST WHAT YOU SAY EVEN IF WE ARE FRUSTRATED. HEY JESUS YOU ARE A CARPENTER BY TRADE… DO YOU THINK CARPENTERS CAN TELL FISHERMEN HOW TO FISH?
Luke 5:5b …nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
Luke 5:5b (MSG)… But if you say so, I'll let out the nets."
NEVERTHELESS, WE WILL BE POSITIVE. IN SPITE OF OUR BEST EFFORT: WHEN YOU ARE FRUSTRATED YOU MUST LEARN TO CLOSE YOUR MOUTH AND BE OBEDIENT. WHAT IS OUR CAPACITY? WE WILL TRUST YOUR WORDS JESUS.
Luke 5:6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. 7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
THE MAZE: FRUSTRATION? FRUSTRATED FISHERMEN LEARN THE LESSON: THE CALL IS NOT ABOUT FISH, THE CALL IS ABOUT PEOPLE!
Matthew 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
NOT ALL FRUSTRATION IS SELF-IMPOSED. MOST OF US ARE SO GOOD AT FEELING FRUSTRATED WE NEED NO HIRED GUNS TO FRUSTRATE US.
Ezra 4:5 And hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.
THE MAZE: FRUSTRATION CAN CAUSE OUR EYES TO BE BLINDED. WE CAN BECOME SO STRESSED AND WEARY THAT WE BECOME BLINDED TO REALITY. WE THINK OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE AGAINST US. I AM LOST IN THIS MAZE OF LIFE.
Psalm 88:9 Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.
Psalm 88:9 (MSG) blinded by tears of pain and frustration. I call to you, GOD; all day I call. I wring my hands, I plead for help.
IT IS EASY TO GET LOST IN THE MAZE OF OBSTACLES. HUMAN LOGIC HAS A WAY OF SEEING THE OBSTACLES AND BECOMING FRUSTRATED. THEN IN THE MAZE THE OBSTACLES WE CAN HINDER THE MIRACLE…
Jesus gives a DIVINE COMMAND. TAKE THE STONE AWAY… MARTHA WAS FRUSTRATED. HER BROTHER IS DEAD! BUT JESUS, HE STINKS BY NOW! WE MISSED THE WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY!
John 11:39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
CONCLUSION: WILL WE ALLOW FRUSTRATION AND ANGER TO DICTATE OUR EMOTIONS? God put 2 angels on an assignment. One was to watch over one lady. The other was assigned a different lady. The two ladies both went to the mall at the same time. The one angel asked the other angel how is it going with your assignment? So the angel asked: HOW ARE THE THINGS GOING WITH YOUR ASSIGNMENT? The angel said: My woman is lost in the MAZE of life. My woman is so frustrated and angry. Hear me: MY WOMAN IS SO FRUSTRATED AND SO ANGRY. MY WOMAN RUNS AROUND LIKE A CHICKEN WITH ITS HEAD CUT OFF. She is not happy anywhere. She can’t be still. She screams, yells and complains all the time. She is weary and worried and runs in an uproar. Her home is a war zone. She lays on the couch and watches TV. Seems she thinks everyone is picking on her at work, at school and her kids are brats. The other angel said: I am glad she is not my assignment. Doesn’t your woman KNOW GOD’S WORD? DOES SHE KNOW GOD IS IN CONTROL AND EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT? Does she know God answers prayers? Does your woman know she is running nowhere real fast? Does she ever stop to smell the roses? Does she attend church? Does she pray? Her angel said: NO, SHE IS JUST RUNNING AND NEVER SLOWS DOWN. SHE GRIPES AND COMPLAINS AND BLAMES EVERYONE FOR HER PAIN.
WELL, HOW’S YOUR WOMAN DOING? The other angel said my woman gives thanks before she gets out of bed. Then she picks up her Bible and studies the WORD OF GOD. Then she starts praying for her husband, children, family and pastor. Then she starts humming and singing praises to God. She loves cleaning and doing her chores. My woman stops and raises her hands and praises and gives thanks to God. She is so happy when the kids get home. She hugs them and loves on them. My woman is so precious her husband can’t wait to get home. The angel said I love camping around my woman. Then the angel asked his friend would you like to trade?
