WE ARE LEAVING A TRAIL. Richard Dugdale wrote a book and he tells a story of 2 families.
MAX JUKES was an atheist, A HARD DRINKER. He no use of faith and had no fear of God. He chose to live a godless life. He married an ungodly woman and from this marriage they produced 13 children, that produced 1026 descendants. 310 poor people that died as paupers, 300 convicts, 150 were criminals, 130 spent on the average of 13 years in prison, 60% were thieves. 27 were murderers, 590 were drunks/drug addicts. It is said over half the women born in this family (190) were prostitutes. 67 is reported as carrying sexual diseases. Of the 1026 descendant the state pay out 1 ¼ millions in aid and imprisonment.
JOHNATHAN EDWARDS was a Christian, a Puritan preacher and was faithful to church. He married SARA, a good Christian lady. They had 11 children. The Edwards had 729 descendants. 100 became preachers and pastors. 65 were college professors, 13 became presidents of colleges, 1 the head of a medical school, 1 the head of a law school, 285 graduated college, 60 wrote books, 3 became governors, 75 military service, 3 became USA Congressmen, and 1 became the Vice-President of the USA. The Edwards family never cost the tax payers one penny.
What was the big difference? The church and Christian training. Seems moral values, character and self-discipline makes a difference.
DOES THE BIBLE TEACHINGS REVEAL THE TRUTH THAT ONE CAN LEAVE THE FAITH AND BE ETERNALLY DAMMED? LET US STUDY THIS AND SEE BIBLICAL TRUTH?
LUCIFER IS AN EXAMPLE FOR FALLING FROM GRACE. HE SERVED IN THE REALMS OF HEAVEN AND FELL.

Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
SEEMS AROUND 1/3 OF THE ANGELS THAT WERE IN HEAVEN FELL AND REBELLED AGAINST GOD.
Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

ADAM AND EVE KNEW GOD IN A PERSONAL WAY AND FELL FROM GRACE. THERE IS NO RECORD OF REPENTANCE.

GOD WARNED MOSES…SIN SEPARATES THOSE THAT SERVED FRO GOD.

BUT IF YOU TURN AWAY THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES.

THEY WERE SERVING GOD AND TURNED AWAY. CAN WE HEAR THE CLEAR WARNINGS OF BACKSLIDING?
Deuteronomy 8:11 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day: 12 Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; 13 And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is
multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied; 14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;
Deuteronomy 8:19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
20 As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient.
ELI HAD 2 SONS: HOPHNI AND PHINEHAS THAT SERVED IN THE TEMPLE…THEY PROVOKED THE WRATH OF GOD.

THERE WERE TWO THAT SERVED AS HOLY PRIEST AND WERE DESTROYED BECAUSE OF SIN. NADAB AND ABIHU.

ANANIAS AND SAPPHIRA WERE SAVED AND FAITHFUL TO THE CHURCH. THEY AGREED TO LIE TO THE PREACHER AND SOLD OUT.

DEMAS WAS A PREACHER AND HE FELL BACK INTO LOVING THE WORLD.

REMEMBER FROM WHERE YOU HAVE FALLEN AND CORRECT IT.
Revelation 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

JUST BECAUSE YOU START THE RACE IN FIRST PLACE DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL WIN THE RACE.
