STAT! WHAT DIFFERENCE CAN ONE PERSON BE? --- UN-PLANTED SEEDS?

2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
* STAT: Have you ever been in a hospital and heard: CODE BLUE: STAT? STAT COMES FROM A TERM STATIM. Statim means immediate, without delay. At once, right away.
*URGENT: needs immediate attention or action, compelling, pressing, critical.
*UNITY: united, joined, together, whole, agreement, harmony.
I have about 50 seeds sitting on top of the coat rack at church. They have been there a long time. Someone will lay a seed by the others. This week after I finished my prayer time I was looking over all the seeds. (Peach, plum, cherry, tomato, etc.) I have looked over these for years. This day I SAW THE SEEDS AS NEVER BEFORE WITH THE THOUGHT: UN-PLANTED SEEDS BEAR NO FRUIT…
COME LET US REASON TOGETHER THAT GOD HAS A PLAN AND A PURPOSE… WE MUST MAKE A PRIORITY IDEA THAT GOD HAS ORDERED THE EVENTS OF OUR LIVES FOR A GREATER PURPOSE THAN WE HAVE EXPECTED.
We have to refuse complicity and apathy. God needs people. People need God. God can accomplish his goals with or without us. He does not need us, but it is God’s desire to trust his people in UNITY WITH HIM. By depending on THE WORD, PRAYER and FASTING at how serious the times that we live in can be… We need to come together in solidarity of love and unity.
Esther 4:14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
Esther 4:14 (MSG) If you persist in staying silent at a time like this, help and deliverance will arrive for the Jews from someplace else; but you and your family will be wiped out. Who knows? Maybe you were made queen for just such a time as this."
ESTHER HAD CLAIMED THE LADDER OF SUCCESS. To allow the purpose of God to be accomplished in her life and stand for God’s people could be RISKY BUSINESS. Her focus could have been self-centered and self-indulgent.
MORDECAI CARRIES A GREAT CONCERN AND BURDEN AS HE HAS SEEN THE REVELATION AND TRUE SIDE OF HAMAN… HOW EASY IS IT TO MISS OUR OPPORTUNITY AND GOD GIVEN ASSIGNMENTS?
This assignment is greater than MORDECAI and greater than ESTHER. The enemy’s design is if he can destroy the SEED OF GOD’S LINE he can stop the birth of JESUS CHRIST and trap people for eternity, forever doomed.
CAN I MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
I WAS IN THE SIXTH GRADE IN CLARMONT COUNTY, OHIO. Spring rolled around. Dad prepared the garden and we were planting seeds. Dad had saved a brown paper bag of CORN SEEDS from last year. Dad had a string and two sticks and he would draw a straight line and with a hand plow he laid off the rows. It was my job to lay the seeds in the ground spaced two hand widths apart. He made several rows and I would plant the seeds then cover them up. Mom yelled and called dad to come… Dad received a call that a church member was being rushed to the hospital. Dad gave me the hand plow and said: WHEN YOU FINISH A ROW, MAKE ANOTHER AND PLANT ALL OF THE SEEDS. I made a row, planted the seeds. I made another row and another. Seemed to me there was more seeds in the paper bag than when I started. I asked Jesus was he multiplying the seeds? I made another row and I said that was enough. I took the HOE and dug a hole and dropped the brown paper bag in the ground and covered it up. Then I ran in to watch Gilligan’s Island. When dad got home he asked me how many rows did the corn seeds make? I said: 5, I PLANTED FIVE ROWS. Dad said there should have been at least 20 rows. I said: DAD, TRUST ME, I PLANTED EVERY CORN SEED IN THE GROUND.
One evening dad came home and walked out into the garden and he stood there and looked at the plants that were growing. He came in the parsonage and he was angry. He grabbed me by the neck and drug me to the garden. He said 5 rows? He pointed to a spot and there was 10 million little green blades TESTIFYING AGAINST ME. He said sure they are all in the ground just like you said. I never dreamed that the corn seeds would tell on me.
Dad was firm and scolded me. He told me he was disappointed in me. Then he said I want you to stand here and look at all those wasted corn seeds. He then said something that I HAD NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT. HE SAID IF THE FAMILY STARVES TO DEATH THIS WINTER IT WILL BE YOUR FAULT! He then went in the house. I knelt down by that little green patch and prayed and cried. I begged God to not allow my family to starve to death. God I will work for you if you help us live. Well, mom and dad, 4 boys and one girl lived to be adults. I NEVER DREAMED THAT BROWN PAPER BAG WOULD BE A TATTLETALE and expose my secret.
MY DAD HAD A MOTTO WHEN HE SAVED THE SEEDS FOR THE NEXT YEAR: DON’T EAT THE SEED CORN. Have you saved seed for the family?
CAN ONE PERSON MAKE A DIFFERENCE? ASK AARON? 14,700, HOW MANY MORE? HOW MANY MORE COULD HAVE BEEN?
Numbers 16:47 And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people. 48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed. 49 Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah. 50 And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed.
CAN ONE PERSON MAKE A DIFFERENCE? COME, LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO ELEAZAR’S SON… AARON’S GRANDSON. HIS NAME IS PHINEHAS.
There are 3 men in the Bible named PHINEHAS. One was ELI’S SON… he was backslidden and did evil while performing his priest duties. He cheated on the offerings. He visited women around the back of the church. Phinehas means: SERPENT’S MOUTH, MOUTH OF BRASS. WHILE ELI’S SON WAS A DISGRACE THERE IS ANOTHER PHINEHAS…
Aaron’s grandson son was a priest and he boldly stood against sin. SEEMS ISRAEL WAS BOWING TO BAAL AND COMMITTING TERRIBLE SEXUAL SINS. The women of Moab had become a SPIRITUAL TRAP. The sin was so bad they blatantly sinned in MOSES FACE…
Numbers 25:6 And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 7 And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand; 8 And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel. 9 And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand. 10 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 11 Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy. 12 Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace: 13 And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.
14 Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites. 15 And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian.
CONCLUSION: DAVID TELLS HOW PHINEHAS WAS SO FAITHFUL… IS REMEMBERED WITH A COVENANT… PHINEHAS… HE MADE A DIFFERENCE. ONE MAN.
Psalm 106:28 They joined themselves also unto Baalpeor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead. 29 Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions: and the plague brake in upon them. 30 Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment:
and so the plague was stayed. 31 And that was counted unto him for righteousness unto all generations for evermore.
You can. You can make a difference. Someone might go to hell if you don’t plant the seed. MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
