TEFLON--- NO STICK OFFENSE

TEFLON: Teflon is the DUPONT TRADEMARK. It is a polymer for non-stick and electrical insulators. The carbon and fluorine atoms stick to each other but not to food or other substances.
THE SPIRITUAL TEFLON IS LOVE…!
1 Corinthians 13:8 A. Charity never faileth:
1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
I cannot stop birds from flying over my head! But I can keep birds from building nests and living rent free in my mind. People can be judgmental, indifferent, rude, cruel, mean, jealousy and angry. At times we learn that life can be UNFAIR.
I learned in Kindergarten that life is not fair. I HAD 8 FAT CRAYOLA CRAYONS… The girl behind me had 64 small sharp crayons. Every year this happened to me?
TEFLON: LOVE IS KIND AND FORGIVING. LOVE CAN KEEP ITS MOUTH CLOSED.
1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
TEFLON: THERE ARE TWO KINDS OF LAUGHTER…
I AM 90! I HAVE THROWN IN THE TOWEL ON THIS PROMISE… WE HAVE FACED DISAPPOINTMENT AND DELAY, THE ANSWER HAS NO WAY! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE?
1. THE LAUGHTER OF DOUBT AND SHOCK… (PRIVATE LAUGHTER IN THE TENT.) DON’T YOU KNOW I AM OLD? WORN OUT? CAN YOU IMAGINE ME GOING TO WALMART AND BUYING PAMPERS?
Genesis 18:9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent. 10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. 11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. 12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
HUMANITY HAS A WAY OF DENYING AND EXCUSING THE LAUGHTER OF DOUBT.
Genesis 18:13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? 14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. 15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.
2. THE LAUGH OF JOY AND FAITH! GOD IS BIGGER THAN MY PROBLEMS. GOD’S PROMISES ARE T&P, TRIED AND PROVEN…
Genesis 21:6 And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me. 7 And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age. 8 And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.
WE NEED A SPIRITUAL TEFLON COATING
Matthew 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
Proverbs 24 :10 IF THOU FAINT IN THE DAY OF ADVERSITY, YOUR STRENGTH IS SMALL.
2 Cor. 4: 16 For which cause we faint not; though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed daily.
I ponder are we allowing the enemy to limit what we are doing? The old lady told me: THE DEVIL HAS BEEN ON MY BACK ALL WEEK. We must quit giving the enemy a free ride? Under your feet is where he belongs, not on your back. Control your emotions or they will control you? Control your tongue or it will play games with your emotions?
Many are allowing OFFENDED SPIRITS TO STICK TO THEIR HEART. Do we learn to finish while facing pain and disappointments that will try to knock us off the wall? (Humpty Dumpy)
We used to repeat a lie: STICKS AND STONES MAY BREAK MY BONES, BUT NAMES WILL NEVER HARM ME… This is not true.
ARE THE FIERY DARTS OF OUR ENEMIES LINGERING, FESTERING AND BRINGING INFECTION?
Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
This can sticking to us can burn us. Is this a stumbling block or a steppingstone? TEFLON OR STICK? You can if you want to --- ? Do you want to --- ?
THE PEOPLE EXPECTED BAD STUFF… TO ACCOMPLISH GOD’S PLANS WE MUST BE LIKE PAUL AND SHAKE THE SNAKE IN THE FIRE…TEFLON.
Acts 28:5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. 6 Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
GOD DOES NOT EXPECT US TO BE FREE FROM FLAWS… HE IS NOT LOOKING FOR PERFECTION… THE TEFLON WILL HELP US IMPROVE.
Ponder some of the men God chose to be His men? Why expect perfection?
TEFLON: Moses killed a man, stuttered and in anger hit the rock.
TEFLON: Jacob was a cheater, known as the sub planter. Gideon offered excuses.
TEFLON: David had a sexual affair and Saul’s armor didn’t fit.
TEFLON: John Mark quit and was rejected by Paul.
TEFLON: Timothy was a young kid minister without experience.
TEFLON: James and John were known AS SONS OF THUNDER for their temper and lack of mercy.
TEFLON: Amos was not polished, the only training was in the school of tree pruning.
TEFLON: Solomon lived with excessiveness. He was a man of wisdom and of foolishness.
TEFLON: Abraham lied and had a dysfunctional family, besides this he was old.
TEFLON: Peter was a big mouth and even rebuked Jesus.
TEFLON: God sees beyond failure.
TEFLON: Paul held the coats as they murder Steven, so was Moses.
Seems God sees beyond failure and disappointments.
TEFLON: Miriam was bitter, she was a gossip and sowed discord against the man of God.
TEFLON: Jeremiah was depressed and suicidal.
TEFLON: Elijah was burned out, he ran for his life then prayed to die?
Seems God sees beyond failure and disappointments, if you refuse to quit.
TEFLON: Martha was a worry wart.
TEFLON: Samson had long hair AND LOVED WOMEN..
Seems God sees beyond failure and disappointments, if you refuse to STICK. God used all these less than perfect people.
TEFLON: So you failed? So? Try again!
TEFLON: Jesus owned no property, and had no throne and he was from a no where town.
So your friend is less than ideal? Jesus uses people. God sees beyond failure and disappointments, if you refuse to quit. But God doesn’t require people to be perfect and fit into religious molds. He doesn’t see people as most people see people. He looks beyond --- God sees beyond failure and disappointments, if you refuse to STICK. Our enemy deals in vomit, he throws up your past. He never looks forward, he always looks back and sees our failures and stupidity. Jesus says, I see what you can be! I have a plan. God sees beyond failure and disappointments, if you refuse to STICK. If the enemy reminds you of your past, you must remind him of his future! God is the GREAT I AM. Not the great I was! He is the great I AM!
Anyone can see the mountains. We need no mountain spotters but those that can see beyond and grow visions of God’s plan to bring deliverance. Can we afford to quit? What does quitting tell others?
CONCLUSION: WE MUST RELEASE THE HOLY SPIRIT TO HELP US ACHIEVE THE TEFLON SPIRIT.
Proverbs 24 :10 IF THOU FAINT IN THE DAY OF ADVERSITY, YOUR STRENGTH IS SMALL. Obstacles and problems can be limitations. We must make them doorways to God’s plan. God’s plan is unlimited. Get up, shake it off. TRY TEFLON.
