THE UNSEEN: THE UNKNOWN GIVES BIRTH TO FEAR OR TO FAITH…

CONSEQUENCES OF UNSEEN CHOICES… WE DON’T ALWAYS CONSIDER THE UNSEEN OR UNKNOWN COST OF CHOICES.
When I taught school in Virginia there was a monthly magazine called RANGER RICK. One issue told of a massive fire that burned in the forest. The ranger was walking through the charred remains of the black ashes. The ranger came upon a BLACKEN LUMP. He gently pushed the lump and 3 baby chickens came running out. The hen’s body had served as a THERMAL BLANKET. The mother gave her life protecting the baby. The story did not end there. The ranger said as he chased the babies to take to safety he noticed there were several biddies burned to death. For some reason the baby chickens did not come into the safety refuge of the mothers wings.
THIS LESSON OF PROTECTION IN SEASONS OF DANGER ARE RECORDED IN THE BIBLE. The lesson is about two choices… UNSEEN CHOICES
THERE IS A LITERARY TOOL CALLED REPETITION…
This tool helps the reader or the speaker to emphasize the point by saying something more than once. It may be repeated as a different stories with the same basic point. Matthew and Luke both desire to express a major idea: How often has God wanted to draw us closer as parents would like their gather children to come together in love and unity? Seems people’s priorities are not like a chicken that protects her chicks beneath her wings. YOU REFUSED.
Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
Luke 13:34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
THERE ARE A LOT OF FALSE TEACHING GOING AROUND. ONE MISTRUST IS THAT REAL LOVE CAST OUT ALL FEAR…
THIS IS NOT TRUE… LOVE CAST OUT FEAR BUT NOT ALL FEAR… OUR SOCIETY HAS LOST ALL FEAR OF GOD AND THE JUDGMENT.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
LET US COME TO A CONCLUSION> TWO KINDS OF FEAR… HEALTHY/INTELLIGENT FEAR VERSE WORRY, WEARY… FEAR THAT FREEZES, FLIGHT OR FIGHT…
1 HEALTHY /INTELLIGENT FEAR --- SPIRITUAL
Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Ecclesiastes 12:12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
THERE IS NOTHING TO FEAR BUT FEAR ITSELF. FEAR IS ONE OF THE WORSE ENEMIES OF THE CHRISTIAN AND SOCIETY.
IT IS SO EASY TO TAKE THE NEXT THOUGHT TO THE NTH DEGREE AND LOSE OUR SPIRITUAL BALANCE… FEAR BRINGS DEPRESSION, NEGATIVITY, DOOM AND GLOOM ATTITUDES.
Job 3:25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. 26 I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.
Job 3:25 (MSG) The worst of my fears has come true, what I've dreaded most has happened.
26 My repose is shattered, my peace destroyed. No rest for me, ever—death has invaded life."
THE UNKNOWN AND UNSEEN WILL BRING NO FEAR, WHERE THE BLOOD IS APPLIED. FOR FEAR AND DEATH TO BYPASS THE INDIVIDUAL ONE HAD TO STAY IN THE STRUCTURE BY COMING OUT OF THE PROTECTIVE BARRIER --- FEAR STRIKES WHEN WE STEP OUT OF BOUNDS.
Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
Exodus 12:22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
I MUST HAVE NO FEAR OF THE ISSUES BEYOND OUR VISUAL FIELD… HAVE NO FEAR, BUT COMPLETE TRUST… GOD PROMISED.TO BELIEVE REMOVES THE FEAR AS WE ACCEPT GOD CAN…
Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
WE HAVE A REFUGE A HAVEN OF REST FOR THE WEARY… COME UNTO THE WINGS OF THE DIVINE PLAN.
Psalm 61:4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
WE HAVE A HIDING PLACE… IN SEASONS OF TROUBLE…
Psalm 27:5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
COME TO THE REFUGE…SAFE. SHELTERED, NO DANGER, SAFE HOUSE, and SAFETY --- GOD PROMISES TO BE OUR REFUGE…
WE CAN NOT AFFORD THE PRICE OF LOSING OUR HEARTS…
2 Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:16 (MSG) So we're not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace.
CONCLUSION: THERE IS NOTHING TO FEAR BUT FEAR ITSELF. FEARGIVES THE ENEMY AN OPPORTUNITY AND FOOTHOLD
WHY WOULD WE SELL THE RIGHTS OF THIS PROPERTY TO HARM US? NO GROUND… NO SOIL, NO ROCKY, NO THORNS… ONLY THE RICH FERTILE GROUND GIVEN TO GOD… THIS IS HOLY GROUND… WE ARE THE TEMPLE. ONLY THOSE THAT RECOGNIZE WE ARE ON HOLY GROUND--- SO WE TAKE OUR SHOES OFF…

FEAR IS TORMENT AND CAN HINDER. WE MUST NOT BE AFRAID OR TERRIFIED BECAUSE THE LORD IS WITH US AND HE WILL NEVER LEAVE US.
