PLATEAUED? BE A REFRESHER!

*PLATEAUED: to be comfortable where you are, reach a state of little or no change after a time of activity, no advancement, stay the same, little to no growth, to stop progressing.
THIS IS JUST TOO HARD! FEW PEOPLE LEARN TO RECOGNIZE SPIRITUAL PLATEAUS IN THEIR HOME, CHURCH OR JOB.
YOU CAN DO IT! IF YOU WANT TO…? WHAT IS WITHIN OUR ABILITY? CAN WE REACH GOD’S PLAN AND PURPOSE? ARE WE CONTENT TO STAY HERE AND NOT EVALUATE OUR ACTIONS?
Deuteronomy 30:11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
Deuteronomy 30:11 (NLT2) “This command I am giving you today is not too difficult for you to understand, and it is not beyond your reach.
HAVE WE SPIRITUALLY PLATEAUED? ONE OF HUMANITY’S GREATEST WEAKNESSES IS QUITTING. WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, WE ARE PRONE TO THROW UP OUR HANDS AND THROW IN THE TOWEL AND GIVE UP. THERE IS ONE WAY TO BECOME A WINNER, AN OVERCOMER… NEVER QUIT AND GET UP AND TRY AGAIN. WILL WE PAY THE PRICE? COLD WATER REQUIRES EXTRA EFFORT… IS THIS TOO HARD FOR YOU? ARE YOU PLATEAUED?
Matthew 10:42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
PLATEAUED? EXCUSES CAN BE DENIAL AND DEMONIC DECEPTION. IGNORANCE OF THE LAW IS NO DEFENSE. WE CAN’T WINK AT IGNORANCE… IGNORANCE OF THE LAW IS NO EXCUSE… IT IS A LEGAL PRINCIPLE THAT JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE UNAWARE OF THE LAW YOU CANNOT ESCAPE THE LIABILITY FOR VIOLATING THE LAW. THIS IS TOO HARD!
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
It is too hard for me! If ignorance of the law was an acceptable excuse any person could claim ignorance and avoid the consequences. PLATEAUED?
Luke 14:18 And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.
(I bought land? I just purchased some oxen? I just got married? 3 classes of excuses… MATERIALISM, BUSINESS, RELATIONSHIPS!)
PLATEAUED? IF YOU THINK THIS IS TOO HARD… IT WILL PROBABLY BE TOO HARD FOR YOU? FAITH HAS A TENDENCY TO GROW TO BE LUKE WARM AND TO COOL DOWN… WE CAN COME FRESH.
*REFRESH: To make like new, to restore lost strength, renew, revive, invigorated, to make clean, restore, rejuvenate, renovate, not stale, life giving.
2 Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:16 (MSG) So we're not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace.
It is a false teaching that COWS GIVE MILK? Milking a cow requires effort. Let me tell you some country wisdom. The cow will go dry and there will be no milk. The cow must have a VISIT FROM THE BULL TO “COME FRESH” to keep giving milk. We must come to the Father to stay fresh.
PETER HAS A GOOD LESSON YOU MUST BE FORGIVEN AND YOU MUST FORGIVE TO KNOW SEASONS OF REFRESHING… REFRESHING COMES FROM THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD…

PLATEAUED? THERE IS A DIVINE LAW OF REFRESHING… WHEN YOU REFRESH OTHERS: YOU WILL BE REFRESHED…
GENEROUS PEOPLE PROSPER AND IF WE REFRESH OTHERS, WE WILL BE REFRESHED…

YOU CAN NEVER SHAKE HANDS WITH A CLENCHED FIST… DO WE NEED TO CHANGE OUR ATTITUDES, OUR WORDS AND OUR GIVING? SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO GIVE AN OFFERING OF WHAT YOU LOVE… TO RECEIVE WHAT YOU NEED! Seems we desire every person in the world to change while we are content to stay the same… NEGATIVE people produce NEGATIVITY. Might it be easier to be an ART CRITIC THAN TO BE AN ARTIST?
THERE CAN BE A NEW WAY OF THINKING AND A NEW WAY OF LIVING… CHANGE YOUR INTENTIONS… WE MUST IDENTIFY WE ARE WEAK AND WE NEED TO DESIRE MORE… THERE IS A TIME TO THROW THE GARBAGE IN THE TRASH BIN.
WE NEED TO RENEW OUR THINKING PATTERNS AND ATTITUDES TO AVOID SPIRITUAL PLATEAUS. THROW OFF ALL THE HINDERANCES OF GROWTH. EXCUSES CAN TRAP US IN A PLATEAUED ATTITUDE. EXCUSES NEVER MAKES BETTER PEOPLE… IGNORANCE IS NO EXCUSE…
Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Ephesians 4:22 (MSG) Since, then, we do not have the excuse of ignorance, everything—and I do mean everything—connected with that old way of life has to go. It's rotten through and through. Get rid of it! And then take on an entirely new way of life—a God-fashioned life, 23 a life renewed from the inside 24 and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces his character in you.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:2 (MSG) Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
WE WOULD NOT NEED AN ALTAR CALL IF THERE WOULD BE A GENUINE VISION OF HELL AND ETERNITY. WE WILL HAVE A LONG LASTING REVIVAL… IF EACH PERSON LIVING COULD CATCH ONE GLIMPSE OF HELL. THERE WOULD BE NO COLD OR LUKEWARM CHURCHES.
Every church, every altar, every home would change and would turn from their wicked ways, real confession, lasting repentance and faithfulness and real change after a 10 seconds vision of HELL. If we could avoid THE TUNNEL VISION OF SELF. I DREAM OF THE DAY WHEN THE CHURCH CATCHES A VISION OF HELL AND A VISION OF OUR SAVIOR AND LORD JESUS CHRIST.
HELL HEARS THE MISSIONARY CALL. The plateaued rich man wants to return to preach to his 5 brothers.
Luke 16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: 28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
CONCLUSION: WHAT CAUSES PEOPLE TO LIVE IN A PLATEAUED STATE? DO WE REALIZE REFRESHING RECIPROCATES REFRESHMENT. We must refuse to live in a PLATEAUED SPIRITUAL CONDITION.
Jeremiah 31:25 For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.
