Satan's Fate
1. Bruised
a. After the serpent deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden, the Lord God said to the him, “Because you have done this, you are cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field. You will go on your belly, and you will eat dust all the days of your life: And I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. Her seed will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:14-15
b. Paul wrote, “The God of peace will bruise Satan under your feet shortly.” Romans 6:20
2. The Unholy Trinity of Revelation
a. The Dragon – Satan
There was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels. The dragon and his angels lost the battle. The great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which now deceives the whole world. He was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. The dragon’s tail drew the third part of the stars (angels) of heaven and cast them to the earth. Their place in heaven was found no more. Revelation 12:4,7-9
Revelation 12 connects
— The dragon who battled with Michael the archangel, was defeated and was cast out of Heaven
— The serpent in the garden Genesis 3
— The Devil
— Satan who deceives the whole world
— The dragon of the end times
They are all one.
b. The Beast from the Sea – Anti-Christ
— Ten horns, ten crowns and seven heads.
— The whole earth worshipped the beast and the dragon, because he gave his authority to the beast.
— The beast made war on the saints and conquered them.
— Everyone, whose name is not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, will worship it
Highlights of Revelation 13:1-10 (Read for further details)
We see this beast again in Chapter 17, carrying the drunken woman Babylon.
c. The Beast From the Earth – The False Prophet
— It speaks like the dragon and exercises all the power of the first beast
— It causes the people worship the first beast.
— It has power to perform great signs and miracles in the sight of the first beast.
— It deceives the people, telling them to make an image for the beast.
— Those who won’t worship the image are slain.
— It causes all to be marked with the name or number 666
— No one can buy or sell unless he has the mark

3. Defeated
a. The ten horns of the beast from the sea are ten kings, who have no kingdom; but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour. These have one mind, and they give their power and authority to the beast.
These will war against the Lamb. The Lamb will overcome them, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings. Those who are called and chosen and faithful are with him, and they will also overcome. Revelation 17:12-14
And I saw the heaven opened; and behold, a white horse,
and he that sat on it was called Faithful and True;
and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns;
and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:
and his name is called The Word of God.
The armies that were in heaven followed him on white horses,
clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations:
He shall rule them with a rod of iron:
He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
And he has on his clothing and on his thigh a name written,
KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Revelation 19:11-16
And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat upon the horse, and against his army. Revelation 19:19
The Lord will consume that Wicked One with the spirit of his mouth and will destroy him with the brightness of his coming. 2 Thessalonians 2:8
And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying. Now is salvation come, and strength and the kingdom of our God and the power of his Christ, for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death… I will cast you to the ground, I will lay you before kings, that they may see you. Ezekiel 28:16-17
The beast and the false prophet were taken and cast alive into the lake of fire that burns with brimstone. Revelation 19:20
JESUS laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. Revelation 20:2-3
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:10-11
Note: At this point Satan is in the bottomless pit, and the beast (Anti-Christ) and the false prophet are in the lake of fire.
4. When the thousand years are expired, Satan will be freed from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. Revelation 20:7-9
I will bring forth a fire from the midst of you, it will devour you,
and I will burn you to ashes on the earth in the sight of all those who see you. Ezekiel 28:18
-- O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weaken the nations! Isaiah 14:12
a. Lake of Fire
The beast and the false prophet were taken and cast alive into the lake of fire that burns with brimstone. Revelation 19:20
The devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone,
where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night
for ever and ever. Revelation 20:10
Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. Matthew 25:41
Yet you will be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Those who see you will look on you through narrowed eyes, and consider you,
And they will say, “Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that shook kingdoms?”
Isaiah 14:15-16
All those among the people who know you will be astonished at you:
You will be a terror, and you shall never be any more. Ezekiel 28:19
They that see you will narrowly look at you, and consider you, saying, “Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that shook kingdoms, that destroyed the cities of the world and made it like a wilderness, that would open the house of his prisoners (to release them).
All the kings of the nations lie in glory in his own house. But you are cast out of your grave like an abominable branch, and like the garment of those who are thrust through with a sword and killed, that go down to the stones of the pit like a carcass trampled underfoot. You won’t be joined with them in burial, because you have destroyed your land, and killed your people: the seed of evildoers will never be renowned. Isaiah 14:16-20
Because if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment… 2 Peter 2:4
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Revelation 20:10 Notice here, the devil isn’t going to be ruling in heaven, he will be tormented with everyone else.
A proverb against the king of Babylon (represents Satan):
How the oppressor has ceased,
The golden city (Babylon) ceased!
The LORD has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers;
He who struck the people in wrath with a continual stroke,
He who ruled the nations in anger,
Is persecuted and no one hinders.
The whole earth is at rest and quiet;
They break forth into singing.
Indeed, the cypress trees rejoice over you,
And the cedars of Lebanon,
Saying, “Since you were cut down,
No woodsman has come up against us.”
Hell from beneath is excited about you,
To meet you at your coming;
It stirs up the dead for you,
All the chief ones of the earth;
It has raised up from their thrones
All the kings of the nations will say to you,
“Have you also become as weak as we?
Have you become like us?”
Your pomp is brought down to Sheol,
And the sound of your stringed instruments;
The maggot is spread under you,
And worms cover you.
Isaiah 14:4-11
Satan, the anti-Christ and the false prophet won’t be in the lake of fire alone. Others will be with them.
— Then He shall he say to those on the left hand, “Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.” Matthew 25:41
— (John wrote) I saw a great white throne and the One who sat on it. The earth and the heaven fled away from His face; and no place was found for them. I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God. Then books were opened: and another book (The Book of Life)was opened, and the dead were judged out of those things that were written in the books, according to their works. The sea gave up the dead that were in it. Death and hell delivered up the dead that were in them: and every man was judged according to his works. Death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whoever’s name wasn’t found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:11-15
How can you make sure your name is in the book of life? How can you make sure you won’t be tormented with Satan in the lake of fire with the maggots under you and the worms covering you?
Accept the plan that God spoke in Genesis. God sent His Son, born of woman, to be the Savior of the world. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans10:9) saved from the lake of fire, where the worm doesn’t die. (Mark 9:44,46,48)
