FAITH MUST TRUST THE PLAN OF GOD…

TEXT: Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
DO WE STRUGGLE TO BELIEVE WHO WE ARE? God does not make junk. Life is not lived by accidental happenings. Life is lived by choices. We are a product of our daily choices. FAITH KNOWS I MAY NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON TODAY! FAITH KNOWS GOD DOES NOT ALWAYS EXPLAIN WHAT HE IS DOING IN US. FAITH KNOWS WE DO NOT WALK BY SIGHT --- WE WALK BY FAITH.
The word of God is working mightily in me… no matter what the circumstances, what I feel or see… THE WORD IS WORKING MIGHTILY IN ME… The word of God does the work of God.
Exodus 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
God will show us --- The Lord will fight for us. Can we have no fear? Can we stand still while the world bullies us and knocks us down?
Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
STANDING STILL IN TRYING TIMES IS ONE OF THE MOST DIFFICULT SPIRITUAL BATTLES WE FACE.
To be still when everything is going wrong? Stop fighting and fussing? Stop strife and LEARN TO RELAX. You do not have to defend yourself. IF GOD BRINGS US TO IT… GOD CAN BRING US THROUGH IT.
Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
DO WE HAVE ASSURANCE WE ARE GOD’S PEOPLE?
Psalm 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
GO STAND ON THE MOUNTAIN? THERE IS A DEEP DARK CAVE THAT MAY TRY TO HIDE THE LIGHT. WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? JUST BECAUSE YOU SCREAM THE LOUDEST DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN YOU ARE RIGHT. WE MUST LEARN TO LISTEN FOR THE STILL SMALL VOICE…
1 Kings 19:9 And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?
• While on the mountain a BIG STRONG WIND passes by… SURELY THIS IS GOD? THE WIND WAS SO STRONG IT BROKE UP THE ROCKS. BUT THE LORD WAS NOT IN THE WIND…
• While on the mountain the wind passes by and an earthquake shakes the ground… BUT THE LORD WAS NOT IN THE SHAKING OF THE EARTHQUAKE.
• After the wind, the earthquake comes and a FIRE that burns over the mountain. BUT THE LORD WAS NOT IN THE FIRE.
THERE IS A SECOND QUESTION: LISTEN TO THE STILL, SMALL VOICE: WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE ELIJAH? I AM LOOKING FOR BOLTS OF LIGHTNING.
1 Kings 19:12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. 13. And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?
IN ALL OF HISTORY THERE IS ONLY ONE RECORD… CAN WE HEAR GOD’S VOICE: TRUST ME! BROKEN AND REJECTION ARE PART OF LIFE… THE PLAN IS TO BE LOVED BACK TO A GOOD LIFE.
John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
John 10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
On some occasions a EWE LAMB will give birth to a baby lamb. For some strange reason the MOMMA EWE LAMB will have nothing to do with the baby. The EWE will push the baby lamb. The EWE will have nothing to do with her baby. This is so sad. The rejected baby lamb hangs its head so low that it almost appears to have a broken neck. When the MOMMA EWE rejects the baby the EWE WILL NEVER ACCEPT THE BABY BACK AGAIN. The Ewe has been known to kick and be mean to the baby. The baby can’t stand the fact and is so hurt by this rejection. The little lamb will die, its heart and spirit is broken .
THE NAME OF THE REJECTED LITTLE LAMB IS CALLED A BUMMER LAMB.
WITHOUT THE SHEPHERD’S INTERVENTION THE BUMMER LAMB WILL DIE… The shepherd wraps the BUMMER in a soft blanket and takes the rejected lamb home with him. The shepherd and his family adopt the lamb and it becomes one of the family. The family keeps the baby lamb near the fire to stay warm. They hand feed the baby because it is so weak. The shepherd and his wife love and nurture the rejected lamb to health. The shepherd’s family plays with the lamb. THE BABY LAMB IS SO LOVED AND RECEIVED AS A FAMILY MEMBER.
When the BUMMER is strong enough the shepherd puts the lamb on his shoulders and carries him to green pastures and still waters. The BUMMER is totally dependent on the shepherd and his family. The BUMMER will never forget the REJECTION. When BUMMER GROWS INTO AN ADULT SHEEP, HE WILL NEVER FORGET THE SHEPHERD’S KINDNESS AND LOVE. The BUMMER LEARNS HIS MASTER’S VOICE. When the shepherd calls to the flock the BUMMER IS THE FIRST TO COME RUNNING IN THE DIRECTION OF THE SHEPHERD’S VOICE.
The BUMMER LOVES THE GOOD SHEPHERD… AND THE SHEPHERD’S FAMILY LOVE THEIR PET BUMMER. The BUMMER is one of the few sheep that has ever heard the HEART BEAT OF THE SHEPHERD. In our rejection, brokenness and despair THE GOOD SHEPHERD LOVES US SO MUCH IT WILL MAKE US WHOLE. Do we recognize the DIVINE VOICE or do we follow the COUNTERFEIT VOICES OF THE FLESH? Listen my friend the voices of the world like fear, doubt, panic attacks, stress and pain will try to drown out the sound of the STILL SMALL VOICE…

GOD, YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING --- I WILL TRUST YOUR PLAN. I WILL PRAISE GOD… GOD LOVES ME AND IS INTERESTED IN MY DAILY LIFE. I AM NOT AN ACCIDENT --- GOD LOVES YOU AND WANTS YOU TO BE SET APART, DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS. GOD’S PLAN GOES FROM THE WOMB TO THE TOMB…

GOD KNOWS YOUR NAME… GOD PROMISES TO PROTECT YOU!
Psalm 91:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
God knew Abram! God called Abram to change to ABRAHAM. God told Moses “I KNOW YOUR NAME!”.
Isaiah 43:1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

HE KNOWS HOW MUCH SAND IS ON THE SHORE.

HE KNEW I WOULD FAIL HIM, BUT HE TOOK THE LOSS.
