WEARING MASKS? Playing hide and seek?

DOWNWARD FLOW OF POOR CHOICES…CHOICES: WHY ARE YOU HIDING? WANT TO SEE PURE STUPIDITY? WHY DID ADAM AND EVE HIDE FROM GOD?
Adam and Eve failed they were ashamed and guilty. Their choice was either to confess and repent or COVER THEMSELVES AND HID… HOW CAN YOU HIDE FEAR FROM THE ALL KNOWING, ALL POWERFUL GOD?
*HIDE: conceal, keep out of sight, out of view, camouflaged, to keep a secret.
SAULS SEEMS TO LOVE TO HIDE BEHIND THE MASKS OF DISOBEDIENCE… WE ARE A PRODUCT OF OUR DAILY CHOICES… I AM TIRED OF WAITING ON THAT OLD PREACHER…SAUL’S EGO, HIS PRIDE, HIS SELFISH DESIRES
1 Samuel 13:8 And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him. 9 And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering. 10 And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him.
WHY ARE WE HIDING? FEAR? THE LACK OF OBEDIENCE? THE LACK OF WAITING? THE LACK OF PREPARATION? FEAR IS A RESULTS OF THE LACK OF TRUSTING GOD AND NOT LISTENING TO THE PREACHER.
THE CHOICE OF a mask? WILL WE HEED THE WARNING OF GOD AND PREACHER SAMUEL… OLD FOGEY IN ATTITUDES, IDEAS AND MANNERS.
1 Samuel 12:20 And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart; 21 And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain. 22 For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people. 23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way: 24 Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you. 25 But if ye shall still do wickedly, ye shall be consumed, both ye and your king.
Preacher Samuel WARNS THE PEOPLE... Don't allow fear to RULE… To be in fear, full of fear is a MASKED SIGN OF MAKING BAD CHOICES. Yes we have really messed up. It is true we have done things very wrong. We must returned to God’s plan and trust God, the IAM. Come back…don't turn your back on GOD. Worship and serve him heart and soul! GOD takes delight in making us his very own people.
GOD PROMISES HE WILL NEVER LEAVE THEM God will never walk away and leave us.
SAMUEL SAYS: I'm staying right here at my post praying for you and teaching you the good and right way to live.
IT IS VERY CLEAR, we must fear GOD and worship him honestly and with a whole heart. Our testimony should be we know and have seen a mighty God at work on our behave.
Be warned: If you live badly, both you and your king will be thrown out. THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES OF LIVING IN FEAR…
DENIAL --- FEAR BRINGS A LYING SPIRIT… TO CLEARLY DEFINE THE PROBLEM IS THE BEGINNING OF THE SOLUTION…
1 Samuel 13:4 And all Israel heard say that Saul had smitten a garrison of the Philistines, and that Israel also was had in abomination with the Philistines. And the people were called together after Saul to Gilgal.
HEAR THE TRUTH?
1 Samuel 13:3 And Jonathan smote the garrison of the Philistines that was in Geba, and the Philistines heard of it. And Saul blew the trumpet throughout all the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear.
THE MASK OF MORE AND LESS. THE MASK OF FEAR --- FEAR BREEDS MORE FEAR…. CHOICES? WE ARE A PRODUCT OF OUR CHOICES! WHY ARE WE HIDING? IS IT BECAUSE THE ENEMY IS SO BIG?
1 Samuel 13:5 And the Philistines gathered themselves together to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and people as the sand which is on the sea shore in multitude: and they came up, and pitched in Michmash, eastward from Bethaven.
1 Samuel 13:15 And Samuel arose, and gat him up from Gilgal unto Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people that were present with him, about six hundred men.
FEAR REALIZES A LYING AND HIDING SPIRIT…
1 Samuel 13:6 When the men of Israel saw that they were in a strait, (for the people were distressed,) then the people did hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in high places, and in pits.
CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS… THE AMALEKITES WILL ALWAYS BE A THORN IN ISRAEL’S SIDE AND THEIR FALSE RELIGION WILL BE CONTAGIOUS.
1 Samuel 15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
1 Samuel 15:13 And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, Blessed be thou of the LORD: I have performed the commandment of the LORD.
SOMETHING STIRRED UP THE HIDDEN SIN… THE ANIMALS STARTED CRYING OUT --- THERE ARE HIDDEN SINS… THE MASKS WILL ALWAYS BE REVEALED TO EXPOSE AND TELL THE SIN …
1 Samuel 15:14 And Samuel said, What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?
KING SAUL’S MASK BLAMES THEM --- THEY HAVE --- I AM THE KING BUT THEY MADE ME?
1 Samuel 15:15 And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites: for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.
THE TERRIBLE RESULTS OF WEARING MASK TO HIDE IS THAT WE WILL NEVER CORRECT THE PROBLEMS AND WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE A LACK OF PREPARATION…
1 Samuel 13:19 Now there was no smith found throughout all the land of Israel: for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make them swords or spears: 20 But all the Israelites went down to the Philistines, to sharpen every man his share, and his coulter, and his axe, and his mattock. 21 Yet they had a file for the mattocks, and for the coulters, and for the forks, and for the axes, and to sharpen the goads. 22 So it came to pass in the day of battle, that there was neither sword nor spear found in the hand of any of the people that were with Saul and Jonathan: but with Saul and with Jonathan his son was there found.
CONCLUSION: BE PREPARED… READY FOR ANYTHING… HYPOCRITES HAVE A TENDENCY TO WEAR MASK AND MAKE BELIEVE AND PRETEND… WHY WILL WE TRY TO WEAR MASK AND HIDE … WHEN PEOPLE MAKE THE CHOICE TO WEAR MASK THE FALL INTO A SATANIC TRAP? This trap will always cause people to FORFEIT THE LOVE, GRACE, and TENDER MERCIES OF THE ALL SEEING EYE OF GOD! God is good… GOD CAN HANDLE THIS… STAY FOCUSED AND REFUSE TO HIDE FROM GOD, HIS WORD AND THE CHURCH. GOD CAN… BUT GOD…
