I want to see you released into your destiny and running with the vision of this house. To make this church a silo that can hold the harvest.
This harvest must be reaped and placed in the silo or it will rot in the field. We are the ones that make up this last day remnant, and God has commissioned us to tend to the fields of this harvest.
In Mark 16 our mission is spelled it out quit clear, there is no need to pray about, there is no over-spiritualizing needed it is clear what we are to do.
When a soldier goes through boot camp, he receives a commission that sets him forth into his duties. We have been given our Great Commission and have been authorized and deputized in the power and anointing of the Holy Ghost to spread the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.
Doing nothing is easy; doing something takes effort. If you want to have true joy and peace all it takes is for you to minister to another. Focus on their needs and watch yours get taken care of as well.
It is sad but today in the church we have a lot of “organ recitals” this organ hurts, this organ doesn’t work right, and this organ well let’s just say things come out that should not. We got to stop sharing our organs this way and become an organ donor and show people the Heart of Christ.
I.The harvest is all around
When Christ was 12 He got separated from His parents and when they found Him; He was in the synagogue blowing the minds of everyone with His knowledge and His understanding. When Mary spoke to Him and said that they were looking for Him, He replied, “how is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?” When I hear the word must that tells me that there is no other option. We all have “must” from the Father to be about His business.
Satan knows his time is short. He is trying to distract us and keep us from seeing the harvest as God sees it. God is looking at the harvest, not at current events, problems, Washington, gas prices, terrorist attacks or unrest. God is solely focused on the harvest.
In John 4, Jesus met the woman at the well. He told her several things about her life and she received the revelation that He was the Messiah. Then she immediately went back into town and told them about Jesus. When the disciples showed up they were worried about Jesus eating, but He was focused on the Harvest. They were more focused on the naturally things and missed the Samaritan woman’s conversion.
This woman would go back into town and tell them about Jesus (see here is a classic example of a woman preacher) the town would come back with her to meet Jesus. Jesus would say to his disciples “behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” It was as if He was taken them by the chin and saying “I want you to look around and see things the way I do!”
Jesus is speaking to us today to look around and see the Harvest, we need to have a heart for the souls of mankind.
Church we are moving into a season of release, a release of the power of God and a release of us into the harvest. We have for too long in the Christian community made it all about us. When I watch Christian TV every sermon is about us; we get sermons on how to get out of debt, how to get healing, how to fight depression, how to eat right, and how to get rich and blessed.
We will shout over these messages oh we love to hear we are the head and not the tails, but in reality that is where our head is we are centered on self and not on the harvest. There are few that preach on winning souls and reclaiming a city for Christ. When Jesus went into a town He made an impact in that town. When He left it was changed. It is time we change this city!
When you go to Hebrews 11 and read about these men of God you see that they were movers and shakers not sitters and whiners. Throughout Hebrews there is a recurring theme and that is “by faith”, everything was done in faith and by faith. All of their needs were met because they walked in faith. As they stayed busy doing Kingdom work, the King kept busy blessing them. When you get involved in God’s harvest, God will get involved in yours.
Luke 17 we read the story of the 10 lepers who stood afar off crying out to Christ. He tells them to go show themselves to the priest and when they turned and started to walk they were healed. Action on their part resulted in their healing they walked in faith. The same principle applies to us if we step out and go in faith in the assignment that God has for you, He will honor your faithfulness.
II.Walking in destiny means going to the harvest
Matthew 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;(38)Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Until we see people as harvest and see them as Christ sees them we cannot pray the way Jesus said to pray. He told us to pray to the Lord of the harvest, that He would send laborers into His harvest. When we look at our city, our country, or even our nation, what do you see? When you see the lost do you just see them as people that belong to the devil and act just like him. When you see them do you just see color, dress, or attitude; or do you see people just like you; that need a savior.
We need to stop looking at people like they are devils and see them as Harvest, so that we can pray, “Jesus, you are Lord of the Harvest, and this is your Harvest and I am getting in agreement with you, and now I pray that you will send laborers into Your harvest field, that you will send me.”
I just need to know will any of you join in my prayer that the Lord will send out, thrust out, cast out, and eject us out into the harvest field. Will you pray that prayer in faith with me?
In Mark 16 Jesus did not send out His disciples empty handed. He gave them something powerful to work with. He gave them all power over the enemy and sickness.
We have been given the authority and power to build the church and cover the world with His Glory. In Genesis 1:28 Adam and Eve were given dominion over the earth, now we are to walk in dominion but in order to have dominion there is a clause and that is reproduction. Ge 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
The key to Adam and Eve taking authority and dominion over the earth was in reproduction. It was through giving birth to sons and daughters, and then releasing them to do the same, that their dominion was to be guaranteed for generations. There is no dominion without reproduction.
God’s plan has not changed. The key to establishing the Kingdom of God on earth is through the same process. We are to birth spiritual sons and daughters for the kingdom; we are to be reproducing sons and daughters in the faith. To take back this city for Christ we must turn the hearts of the people back to God.
To subdue satans kingdom here in Charlotte we must expand God’s here in this city. That is how we gain dominion. We need to be winning souls so that we are reproducing spiritual sons and daughters and brothers and sisters.
Let me do a little messing right here; and ask the question why is it that at funerals everyone comes out, it is like a family reunion, it seems like people like to come out when there is a birth and a death. They come out for the beginning and the end and never stay for the in between.
That same line of thinking is evident in the church we all gather around a new convert we are there for the born again experience we shout and have a good time and as soon as it is over we leave them to grow up in the Lord by themselves or think well the pastor will help them out, and then when they back slide and go back to their old ways we just say, “aint it a shame, they could have done so much”.
Church we need people to step up and disciple and will be there for those that are babes in Christ.
We need spiritual mommas and daddies to adopt these babes in Christ and help instruct them so that they may grow to be strong children of God. Don’t abandon them and walk away after the altar, wrap your arm around them and let them know you are there for them they need your support, prayers, etc… we are to train and equip them as Christians so that they in turn will do the same.
You would not leave a new born out on the porch thinking it would take care of its self so why leave a new born babe in Christ at the altar to raise itself.
Jesus is calling us so that he can send us. When Jesus started His ministry He started with 12, from these 12 the NT church was born and it kept growing and expanding.
The power and the gifts were in full operation for the equipping and perfecting of the saints. The church kept growing. In scripture you will read of the gathered church and the scattered church this was how the message was spread.
This same anointing is still available to us today, we are in a season of release.
There are two views from within the church. How I see you and how you see me.
From the pew to the pulpit you see a man called of God… from the pulpit to the pew I see people called of God…
• You see a man called to lead…I see people called to lead
• You see a man with gifts and talents…I see people with gifts and talents
• You see a man behind a pulpit…I see people with pulpits in their daily lives
• You see a man who is minister of God…I see people that are ministers of God
• You see a man with destiny… I see people of destiny
• You see a man that you expect to have an active walk with God…I see people that should have an active walk with God.
Church you can actively prepare for Kingdom living anywhere. You can make anywhere your prayer closet, you can use any place as your pulpit…
• Pray that God will live through you daily
• Pray for God to be evident each day, and let peace guide your heart.
• On the job take the time to pray and ask for God’s blessings on your employer.
• Dedicate your workspace or places you frequent to the Lord.
• We don’t have to make a show of our Christianity, just be yourself and when you pray enter into your closet and speak to your Father and watch God take care of it all. Mt 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Jesus said we are the salt of the earth. I think when God looks at the church He sees a salt shaker and He wants to shake us up and pour us out to season the city of Charlotte.
Jesus’ heart has always been for the lost. He died for us all, because He loved and cared for all of us. He died for every black, white, yellow, red, and brown man. He doesn’t care how they dress, talk, or walk; He just cares about them.
In the parable of the lost sheep Christ left the 99 for just 1. His focus was on the one that was nowhere to be found. Jesus told his disciples to go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Jesus sent them out to gather them in.
We can’t grow a church by convincing other churches people to join us; it is going to take us going out there and bringing them in.
In Luke 16 you find the story of Lazarus and the rich man now Christ never said this was a parable so this was a true story. Both men die the rich man goes to hell and Lazarus goes to heaven, in hell the rich man begs that Lazarus be sent back to warn his family about hell. A man in hell is praying that someone will warn there family about hell. Church we are the ones that need to be warning the people of hell and judgment. They need to hear the Gospel message. The Lord is not willing for any to parish but for all to come to repentance.
The dead’s prayers cannot be heard or answered but the livings can be. We who are alive are called to pray for our church, our city, and our nation and the world. 2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. When we pray; when we get sin out of our lives; when we humble ourselves before God we will see a healing take place in our schools, in our homes, on our jobs, in the financial, business, and governmental sectors. Whatever the need may be that is your land.
III. Freely you received now freely give
Mt 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Church you cannot give what you don’t have. But that which you do; you are to give it freely. Out there is a city that needs to hear the message; the message that is inside you. You have a destiny to share that message with others; you have an anointing to minister to others.
We are living in exciting times, but church we got to step it up, Jesus is coming back and too many people are going to hell. It time to take back what the enemy has stolen and reclaim our dominion and see the church and kingdom grow with sons and daughters.
He is about to freely give to you now the power to share with others! I know many of you have followed Him and done all that He asked of you, many of you have heard the call and followed and forsook it all, but this last point I want to make is you have accomplished much in the former season but now is a new season and a new phase in this and your ministry.
Church we have nothing to lose we only gain when we make up our minds to follow Him and do His work. All we need to be is obedient to Him and His will, deny ourselves and pick up our call, and forsake all that you have accomplished to go on.
It is about sharing His message to those out there. What you fight to keep, you lose; what you release will come back to you. When you are obedient to what God requires of you, He will reward you in ways you have never dreamed.
The bottom line is this; it is time to lay all we have on the altar of God and let Him take us and make us into something great or His Kingdom. Above all it is about Him and not us. The harvest is white and now is the time as laborers that we go into the harvest and reap.
I have counted the cost; I have looked at my spiritual bank account and saw that it is time to spend the anointing that God has given me on the Harvest. I can’t afford don’t to be obedient I can’t afford not to do the will of God.
God is telling me to go… go… go… I got enough word, you got enough word, I got enough anointing, you got enough of the anointing; it is time to leave the sanctuary of the church and Go into the Harvest. It is time for you to walk out your destiny, your destiny is not to be mass and just take up space.
In Jos 1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. These words were spoken to Joshua in chapter one, these words from the Lord tell us that, even though the land had been promised to Israel, they had to do something themselves; they were going to have to walk out their promise the entire length and breadth of it. In other words, they were going to have to take some action in order to enjoy their promise that meant if they wanted the entire inheritance they had to work for it!
I just got to ask “IS ANY ONE GOING TO FOLLOW ME AS I GO TOWARD THE PROMISE” Who will say, “Here am I Lord.”
Who here will walk the length and breadth of this city taken back what the enemy has stolen and reclaiming this city in Jesus name! Watch out Charlotte here we come and we come in power and might of the Holy Spirit.
