Summary: The last Seal and the beginning of the trumpet judgements are Gods call to the lost sea of humanity. God's call is for all to repent of selfish ways and come....`

The Last Seal And Four Trumpets.

Revelation 8:1-13TPT

The turning point for every person under the sun is today, 2 Cor. 6:2. Not tomorrow.

Today is filled with grace, tomorrow’s not promised; Moreover, tomorrow could begin the 7 years of tribulation.

Yes, He could spilt the sky open graves and call living believers home. In a moment in a twinkling of an eye, the trumpet will sound!

Say yes to Jesus, and you say yes to grace.

Tomorrow could be the beginning of Egyptian bondage. Seven years of hardened hearts; Seven years of deception.

Men’s hearts will be hardened as they curse the God who offered them grace through His only Son Jesus.

During this transition, God’s love will be cursed as He does everything under the sun to try and get unbelievers attention. Revelation Chapters 6, 8-19, spell it out.

Now that’s tribulation.

Think about that, and then repent. Say yes to Jesus!

Revelation 8:1TPT When the Lamb broke open the seventh seal, heaven fell silent for about half an hour.

If you remember, Revelation 7, there was a break from the opening of the last seal in Revelation 6, because God needed to save and rescue, 144,000 thousand Israelites out of the tribulation.

“God still calls people out through His wonderful grace, so these folks won’t have to face Him in His judgement.” P.H

Here’s a fact—It’s not God’s will for mankind to go through the tribulation.

Listen to the words of Jesus for this present church age. John 3:16-17TPT For here is the way God loved the world—he gave his only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life. 17 “God did not send his Son into the world to judge and condemn the world, but to be its Savior and rescue it!

Yes, God through a rescue preserver out, and his name is Jesus! P.H

Again, Revelation 8:1b…the seventh seal is broken, and silence fell upon all of the heavens.

Remember, When the first seal was broken open, it released thunder, but when the seventh seal was opened, it released the silence of the awe of God.

Under the caption of the TPT, you will read these words: The period of silence is because of the enormity and revelation that will be released through the last seal, bringing fullness to God’s work. Silence also points to perfect peace.

Take note about Revelation 8:1, The opening of the seventh seal will bring heaven’s peace into the created realm. This Greek word taken from half and kairos, or a fixed, appointed time in the eternal realm.

Revelation 8:2TPT And then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and each was given a trumpet.

A trumpet represents sounding out a specific and clear word from the Lord, bringing revelation to the hearts of his people.

What was one of the sentences used in the gospels, and from the book of Revelation on several occasions? “Those who have ears to hear let them hear what the spirit would have to say to them.”

Again notice, In the eternal Kairos, the heavens became silent. Why? Listen! Hear!

Remember in 1 Kings 19, when Elijah the prophet, felt as though he was the only man of God, or prophet, that hadn’t bowed the knee to evil?

1 Kings 19:11-13NKJV Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.

13 So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

God spoke this simple word to me, “In the silence, “I” can give you the question, or answer you need, to see you through!”

Revelation 8:3TPT Then the eighth angel with a golden incense burner came and took his place at the incense altar. He was given a great quantity of incense to offer up, consisting of the prayers of God’s holy people, upon the golden altar that is before the throne.

This eighth (or “another”) messenger taking his place at the golden altar is Jesus Christ, our Great High Priest, and the great quantity of incense is His intercession, which He mingles with ours.

Psalm 141:2NKJV Let my prayer be set before You as incense, The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Hebrews 3:1NKJV Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,

Hebrews 7:25TPT So he is able to save fully from now throughout eternity, everyone who comes to God through him, because he lives to pray continually for them.

Hebrews 8:1-2TPT Now this is the crowning point of what we are saying: We have a magnificent King-Priest who ministers for us at the right hand of God. He is enthroned with honor next to the throne of the Majesty on high. 2 He serves in the holy sanctuary in the true heavenly tabernacle set up by God, and not by men.

Fact—No angel is ever seen doing the work of the high priest as in this chapter.

That’s exciting! Jesus will open up all His prayers joining with all our prayers in the heavens! P.H

Revelation 8:4-5TPT And the smoke of the incense with the prayers of the holy ones billowed up before God from the hand of the angel. 5 Then the angel filled the golden incense burner with coals of fire from the altar and hurled it onto the earth, releasing great peals of thunder, voices, lightning flashes, and an earthquake.

According to Revelation 8:3-5, There are six specific items found and they are all related to a heavenly, priestly ministry:

An angel (messenger).

An altar.

A golden incense burner.

Incense.

Prayers.

Smoke, and Sounds. .

All this can be referenced further in Leviticus 16:11-14.

Revelation 8:6-7TPT Then the seven angels prepared to sound their trumpets. 7 When the first angel sounded his trumpet, there came forth hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled to the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, destroying a third of the trees and all green grass.

The voices carry the word of the Lord. The thunder manifests God’s power (Job 26:14; Ps. 29:3–4). The lightning strikes illuminate divine truth (Ps. 97:4) as a great earthquake shakes the kingdoms of men to their foundations.

These are not just acts of judgment, but purification (Isa. 6:6–7; Luke 12:49).

Hail may be a picture of the word of God that destroys the hiding place of lies and false doctrines (Isa. 28:17).

Trees may speak of what is deeply rooted in human nature that will be destroyed by “blood mixed with fire.” Christ’s blood and Spirit-fire will purify our lives.

My thoughts: Grass is consistently used in Scripture as a picture of our flesh (nature). Grass is a surface covering and can be a mask that hides what is beneath.

Revelation 8:8-9TPT When the second angel sounded his trumpet, something like a huge mountain burning with flames of fire was thrown into the sea, destroying a third of the ships. 9 A third of the sea turned into blood, destroying a third of all sea creatures.

Matthew 17:20, speaks of the kingdom of God being like a mountain (Isa. 2:1–3).

The sea is a frequent metaphor for humanity (the sea of humanity). This is the mountain (kingdom of God) and His Spirit-fire cast into the sea of our lives.

The sea creatures being destroyed (v. 9) can refer to the ungodly desires and activities of the flesh that live in the depths of our hearts. What once was life to us becomes undrinkable. See also Ex. 15:22–26; Jer. 23:13–15.

Destroying ships are all part of the activities of the system of Babylon.

Revelation 8:10-11TPT The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a megastar, blazing like a torch, descended from heaven upon a third of the rivers and fountains. 11 The name of the star is Bitterness. A third of the waters became so bitter that many people died.

The megastar is identified in Rev. 22:16, as Jesus. See also “lamp.” See Ps. 119:105.

The burning torch is the burning Word of God.

The rivers and fountains are also within the believer (Ps. 36:7–9; John 4:14; 7:37–38).

Again, Revelation 8:11, The stars bitterness—wormwood, or poison wood, a bitter herb known for its medicinal value in killing intestinal worms.

Revelation 8:12TPT The fourth angel sounded his trumpet and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light was darkened, and there was no light for a third of the day and likewise the night.

It was on the fourth day of creation that the moon, sun, and stars were set in place. They were meant to “rule,” so they speak of governmental authority.

It was to the fourth church that Jesus promised the over-comers that they will be given the Morning Star. (See Dan. 12:3; Mal. 4:2).

Revelation 8:13TPT Then I saw and heard an eagle flying overhead, crying out with a loud voice, “Woe, woe, woe, to the people of the earth, because of the next three trumpets about to be sounded by the other three angels!”

The old order is dimming and passing away as all things become new and a new “exodus” is upon us!

A new heaven and a new earth! See Ex. 10:21–23.

Benediction.
