A VACCINATION OF HOPE? THE PANDEMIC OF HOPELESSNESS.

HOW SAD IS OUR DAY, WE ARE ONE OF THE MOST EDUCATED SOCIETIES OF ALL TIMES, YET WE CAN’T TALK?
Genesis 37:4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.
DO YOU KNOW ANY HOPE HUNGRY PEOPLE?
WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC OF HOPELESSNESS. Seems like we are running low on hope? Let’s get real, you know someone that needs a vaccination of hope. I had a call last night of a Pastor that has poured everything into his little church. He and his wife took all their extra money and bought turkeys and food to give away. NOT ONE PERSON CAME. They were crushed. All I could do was cry for them, then we prayed.
Suicide is on the rise. Gloom and despair crush people. As the TV blares bad news, evil surges forward. GOD WE LIVE IN A HOPE HUNGRY WORLD. Are you a VEHICLE OF KINDNESS? Who knows maybe you could make something good happen to someone today? Could you be optimistic and make a difference?
Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
THERE IS A PLACE NEAR TO THE HEART OF GOD, A STRONG AND MIGHTY TOWER WHERE IN TIMES OF DANGER WE CAN RUN AND FIND PROTECTION AND BE SAFE.
Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
We know we have a strong tower in the PLAN OF A MIGHTY GOD… That is not the question. The question is clear: DO WE TRUST THE UNSEEN HANDS… God is not surprised by this problem. WE ASK: CAN GOD? That is an invalid conclusion. THE VALID ANSWER IS: YES, GOD IS ABLE… GOD CAN.
Psalm 91:2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
I have an 18 month old grandson. He likes riding with his mom and his dad in their car… They have an expensive safety seat attached to the back seat of the car. They strap him in the seat facing backwards. He is so happy. He does not know where they are going? He does not know how long he will be gone? He does not know if the gas tank is full or empty? He does not know the level of oil in the engine? ALL HE KNOWS IS THAT DADDY IS AT THE CONTROLS AND HE TRUSTS HIS DAD COMPLETELY!
2 Samuel 22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.
WE HAVE A REFUGE… IN GOD AND IN HIS PLAN WE WILL TRUST…
*REFUGE: SHELTER OR PROTECTION FROM DANGER OR DISTRESS, something to which one has recourse in difficulty,
DOTTIE RAMBO penned these words: I go to the rock of my salvation, I go to the stone that the builders rejected, I run to the mountain and the mountain stands by me. When all around is sinking sand, on Christ the solid rock I stand. When I need a shelter when I need a friend, I GO TO THE ROCK…
Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
GOD is good, a hiding place in heavy, tough times. God promised HE WOULD BE WITH US in heavy dark days when we face them. He recognizes and welcomes anyone looking for his divine help. Jesus is not just a “FAIR WEATHER” friend. He is a good refuge in times of trouble. Jesus loves and cares for those who trust in him.
I AM ASKING FOR MORE… ONE OF THE GOALS OF MY LIFE WOULD BE: I WOULD LOVE TO BE A HOPE GIVER. GOD GIVE US A DOUBLE PORTION OF HOPE THAT WE MAY SHARE WITH OTHERS…
2 Kings 2:9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. 10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
SWEETER GETS THE JOURNEY EVERY DAY, SERVING JESUS REALLY PAYS. I GET HAPPY IN THIS HEAVENLY WAY, BECAUSE SWEETER GETS THE JOURNEY EVERY DAY. (Lines of an old song.)
See I understand humanity enough to know we have a NEGATIVITY BIAS. All humans tend to be on the negative side of daily living. Most of the time we will side with the NEGATIVE REPORT. It does seem that negative gossip travels much faster than the “WE CAN DO IT” REPORT.
I HAVE HOPE… GOD RENDER UNTO US DOUBLE…
Zechariah 9:12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;
COME TO THE REFUGE THE ROCK, HOW CAN YOU SINK THROUGH A SOLID ROCK? Come and go with me to the FATHER’S HOUSE. Come let us find this refuge, come back to the place of safety, all you prisoners who still have hope! I promise this very day that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles.
There is always room at the cross, come home with me, at God’s house we will find hope-filled prisoners! Today God has DOUBLE COUPONS for receiving a double bonus— everything we lost, returned twice-over!
THREE QUESTIONS OF CREDIBILITY WE DECIDE IF WE TRUST GOD’S PLAN:
1. CAN GOD?
2. CAN GOD DO THIS FOR ME?
3. WHEN WILL GOD DO IT FOR ME?
Conclusion: It has been said you can live about 40 days without food, 3 days without water, 8 minutes without oxygen, but only one second without hope. Seems stress and pressure becomes such heaviness, that it is crushing the very victory of daily living.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
My friend you must forget the things of the past and let go… God can see clearly. God hears our cries. God knows how to deliver his people. Why worry, celebrate life and worship God.
2 Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
Isaiah 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
WE BELIEVE IN RESURRECTION POWER… The rising again to life, yielding to spiritual understanding, to bring a new view or attention… Ever see a dead battery recharged … God resurrect hope in this place. PLACE A NEW CALL … OF HOPE GIVERS THAT WILL COMPLETELY, TOTALLY, WHOLLY TRUST YOUR PLAN.

GOD NEEDS A VEHICLE OF TRUTH THAT WILL SPEAK TO THE RESURRECTION POWER OF GIVING HOPE TO THE HOPELESS. The darker the night the greater the light. There are eternal powers in those that GIVE FUEL and POWER to people that give hope. We search not for perfection we seek forgiveness.
Get real? Why do we have such HOPELESSNESS in the family and the church? You cannot give what you don’t have. We have no goals? Who will you give hope to this week? WE NEED HOPE GIVERS BUT WE NEED HOPE RECEIVERS… Will we identify the HOPE STEALERS? TRY AGAIN? Fall down? TRY AGAIN.
The perfume THE ATTAR OF ROSES… a very expensive perfume is made by crushing, shredding or bruising rose petals placed in an oil base. Then over many days a feather is used to gather the top layer of fluid and added daily to the bottle.
A very small bottle will cost several hundred dollars. This wonderful perfume comes by bruising and crushing the rose petals. Sometimes we are at our best when life crushes us and we run to the refuge of a Holy God.
