SEASONS OF TESTING--- OVERCOMERS

SEASONS OF TESTING CAN BE LONG, HARD AND DARK. MOTH BALLS… perception? Today few understand moth balls. My Grandmother Pearl Hughes had a perfume like no one else. For years I just associated that smell with Grandma. Later I found out the smell was MOTH BALLS. She would stay with family after Grandpa’s death. Her suitcases and trunks always had those little white balls in them. She would spend many winters with us. So I associated the moth ball smells with winter. Often winter is known as a season of testing because of the short days and the long, dark and cold nights… People are trapped in their houses and their emotions can yield to depression and emotional ups and downs. Our perceptions may or may not be valid.
*TEST: series of questions, tasks, exercises that measure knowledge, skills capacities, EXAMINATION, EVALUATION,
*TRIAL: examination, to try, proof,
*TEST OF FAITH, PATIENCE, STAMINA THROUGH SUFFERING AND TEMPTATIONS…
*OBSTACLE: something that impedes progress or achievement, to try to block, holdback,
*OBSTACLE COURSE: training course filled with hurdles, fences, walls, ditches,
TEST AND TESTING HAVE A PURPOSE…
James 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
THE TEST: IMMANUEL: GOD IS WITH US. THE TIME HAS COME TO TEST AND PROVE JESUS. JESUS HAD TO WALK THE LONESOME VALLEY OF THE SEASON OF TESTING. WE HAVE SOME GREAT NEWS… JESUS IS THE INCARNATE SON OF GOD… JESUS WILL REVEAL GOD’S PLAN, PURPOSE, WORD AND INTENTIONS TO THE WHOLE WORLD.
History will have a PARADIGM SHIFT. John the Baptist has been announcing there is a GREATER THAN coming. PREPARE YE THE WAY… THERE COMES THE SON OF GOD. JESUS is going to invade the enemy’s territory and all hell will be put on NOTICE.
Jesus’ testing will invade the wilderness, the kingdoms of the world and the church with the light of the truth. Jesus will be T&P, tried and proven to show the devil, the demons, unbelievers and the whole world that HE is both REAL and GENUINE. Jesus is going to invade the satanic territories of this world.
God had all authority and in love God gave the keys of authority to ADAM and EVE. Then the first couple sold their test of authority into the enemy’s hands. JESUS CAME TO FORCEFULLY TAKE THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM and place them where they rightfully belonged… on the BELT OF THE SON OF GOD. Jesus will submit to THE TESTING and prove HE IS GOD!
Luke 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
SATAN WILL THROW ALL HE HAS AT GOD’S SON. THE TEST WILL BE LONG AND HARD. Jesus will face a very hostile scene, the desert, the ENEMY and the wild destructive forces that Satan has to throw at him.
THESE WILL BE A SEASON OF TESTING … after this season the words: SATAN IS ALIVE AND WELL can no longer be said. SATAN IS MORTALLY WOUNDED, HE HAS TERMINAL CANCER, HIS DAYS ARE NUMBERED… BE ASSURED ALL THE KINGDOMS OF THE WORLD WILL CRUMBLE AND COLLAPSE.
THE TEST, THE CHALLENGE IS ON… IF: is a conjunction, assumption, conditional clause, supposition, may or may not be valid, often IF is used with THEN, UNCERTAIN.
SEASONS OF TESTING OFTEN COME WHEN YOU HAVE BEEN KNOCKED DOWN AND ARE WEAK.
THE TEST? IF… IF IS ONE OF THE LARGEST SMALL WORDS OF THE BIBLE…
Luke 4:3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
The enemy test with SELF DOUBT? Will we question: THE CALL? THE PLAN? THE PURPOSE?
THE TEST COMES IN WEAKNESS. WILL WE ALLOW IF TO BECOME THE OBSTACLE COURSE? HOW DO WE COUNTER THE TEST? JESUS KNEW: THE WORD… THE WORD IS WORKING MIGHTILY IN ME…
THE WORD OF GOD DOES THE WORK OF GOD… IF WE PASS THE TEST WE MUST KNOW AND STAND ON THE WORD OF GOD. ANEMIC IN THE WORD? ANEMIC IN THE WORK?
Matthew 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
Jesus does not get in a theological discussion? He does not debate? He uses the WEAPON OF THE SHARP EDGED SWORD, THE WORD.
Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
THE TEST OF THE EGO: SEASONS OF TEST RARELY COME BY ONE, ALONE… THEY OFTEN COME IN A SERIES OF DARK, HARD, DIFFICULT TIMES.
Luke 4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
Satanic goals are often distorted and invalid perceptions of mistruths. Satan cannot give what is not his. The enemy has no TITLE DEEDS to any property. Satan subtracts and divides. Satan has nothing to GIVE. He is a TAKER.
SATAN CAN NEVER CREATE, ONLY GOD HAS THE POWER OF PROCREATION. I read where the devil CHALLENGED God that he could make a man. Then he stooped to the earth. God said: WAIT A MINUTE THAT EARTH IS MINE. Devils can’t make something out of nothing. HERE WE GO AGAIN: IF?
Luke 4:7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
THERE IS POWER IN GOD’S WORD. KNOW IT. USE IT OFTEN.
Luke 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
REMEMBER THE SEVEN SONS OF SCEVA? They knew mentally but not spiritually.
Acts 19:14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? 16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
HERE COMES THE THIRD TEST… IF, NOTHING NEW…
Luke 4:9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
SATAN KNOWS GOD’S WORD BUT HE TAKES GOD’S WORD OUT OF CONTEXT AND ALWAYS COMES TO INVALID, DISTORTED CONCLUSIONS… JESUS USES THE WORD POWERFULLY.
Luke 4:10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: 11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
THE SEASONS OF TESTING COME AND GO… BE READY, EVIL WILL BE BACK…
Luke 4:13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.
BE READY, EVIL WILL BE BACK… THE TEST WILL BE: THE LUST OF THE FLESH, THE LUST OF THE EYE AND THE PRIDE OF LIFE…
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
CONCLUSION: JESUS CHRIST COMES OUT OF THE SEASON OF TESTING VICTORIOUS… THE SEASONS OF TESTING COME AND GO… BE READY, LEARN TO THRIVE IN SEASONS OF THE TEST. THIS TEST WILL PASS. Yes this too shall pass. BE READY. We see Jesus passed the test. YOU CAN IF YOU WANT TOO…
Acts 7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
