THE CALL OF THE SHOFAR: ARE YOU LIVING IN YOUR OWN BUBBLE? RE-DEFINING TRUTH? HISTORY?

I HAVE A SHOFAR TO BLOW: I sound the alarm in ZION, I BLOW THE SHOFAR: THE RAMS-HORN TRUMPET… USED TO CALL TO WORSHIP, TO RELIGIOUS CEREMONIES AND TO SIGNAL LOOMING BATTLE. The shofar is more than the compromise of the world. The shofar is a high calling. The shofar often signaled a call to repentance, sobbing and wailing. The shofar was a calling to give and bring sacrifice to God.
WE NEED A BIG MIRROR TO SEE THE TRUTH… DO WE UNDERSTAND THE VALUE OF A GOOD FOUNDATION? We have heard the lesson of the house on the sand? The house on the rock? The sand foundation can destroy a well built house. Our families and society have gradually redefined THE FOUNDATIONS of the church.

THERE IS AN AGE OLD QUESTION WE NEED TO CONSIDER… WHAT IS TRUTH? TODAY WE SEEM TO GET LOST THAT THERE IS NO ABSOLUTE TRUTH… EACH MAN DEFINES HIS OWN TRUTH?
John 18:38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

A YOUNG MAN OF 17 in Sunday School being taught the Golden Rule and by the time another year rolls around, it may be his turn to lay his life down. He was taught not to kill, now they lay a rifle in his hand and send him to Viet Nam. Can you blame the voice of the youth for asking: WHAT IS TRUTH?

No one seems to hear anymore. And it really didn’t matter if the truth was there. It was the cut of his clothes and the length of his hair and the lonely voice of the youth cries: WHAT IS TRUTH.
The young girl dancing to the latest beat, has found new ways to move her feet. The young man speaking in city square is trying to tell someone that he cares. Yeah, the ones you are calling wild, are going to be leaders in a little while. This old world’s wakin’ to a new born day, and I solemnly swear that he will say: WHAT IS TRUTH?
THERE IS ANOTHER QUESTION: WHO DEFINES TRUTH? THE NORM TODAY IS EVERYONE DEFINES THEIR OWN TRUTH… WHICH TRUTH WILL YOU ACCEPT AND BUY?

Seems individuals and families exist in a dog-eat-dog world. We are so opinionated. We are unbending. We talk negative and do not care who we slander. We bypass the church and the Bible to live impulsively wild, while complaining most of the time. SEEMS WE HAVE ALLOWED SIN TO CREEP IN TO BECOME THE NORM.
WHO WILL DEFINE THE TRUTH?
DO YOU DEFINE THE TRUTH? Will POLITICIANS define truth? Will situation ETHICS define the truth? Will the MEDIA? TV personalities? How about the billionaires? Will RACIAL tones define truth? Will ELECTIONS define the truth?
WE HONESTLY KNOW THERE ARE THREE DEFINING FORCES THAT WILL CONTROL THE TRUTH… GOD AND OUR ETERNAL ENEMY AND YOUR OWN PERSPECTIVE? WHOSE TRUTH WILL YOU BUY?
ONE MORE ISSUE WE MUST CONSIDER: PERSPECTIVE? ATTITUDE? MIND SET? VIEW POINT?
Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Does a man and a woman have the same perspective? Does a rich person and a poor person carry the same perspective? You are a farmer and your crop needs rain or there will be no harvest? You have your boat and family out on the lake, you pray: PLEASE GOD NO RAIN? WHAT IS TRUTH?
The way you see something, your particular attitude regarding something, your point of view. JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN PITCH A FIT AND SCREAM THE LOUDEST DOES NOT MAKE YOU RIGHT. Be honest do you think you are right when you bypass GOD’S WORD?
WE SHALL FACE THE BEMA SEAT OF GOD… HAVE WE FORGOTTEN WHO ESTABLISHES YOUR PLANS AND PRIORITIES… WE MUST KEEP LIFE IN AN ETERNAL PERSPECTIVE…

WE HAVE SO PREACH LOVE AND GRACE THAT WE SEEM TO HAVE FORGOTTEN THE BEMA SEAT OF GOD THAT WILL EXPOSE YOUR MOTIVES AND DEEDS. CONSIDER THE BEST AND THE WORSE? WILL I PURSUE THE FLESH OR THE SPIRIT? WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM THIS? SEEMS THE CHURCH TODAY REFUSES TO BELIEVE IN THE BEMA SEAT OF GOD… WHEN WE SHALL STAND FACE TO FACE TO BE EVALUATED BY A HOLY GOD…

I was a freshmen at Jellico, Tennessee. We had the quietest neighbors, we lived next to the cemetery. At the end of the cemetery was a large open flat area and the dirt was packed solid as concrete. Someone had put up a very good basketball goal. All of the boys from the neighborhood gathered and played basketball there. We were all poor and no one had a good basketball except for one well to do boy. So when we played basketball, we had no choice but to use his ball. He was very selfish. He told who could play and who could not. If you got near him he would cry FOUL, FOUL! He would knock others down and if you called a foul on him HE WOULD TAKE HIS BALL AND GO HOME. We had to learn to play basketball by his terms. We had no other choice..
HAVE I BECOME YOUR ENEMY? WHAT IS THE ETERNAL TRUTH? WILL YOU TAKE YOUR BALL AND GO HOME? ARE WE REDEFINING THE GAME?

WILL WE KEEP LIFE AND THINGS IN PERSPECTIVE? (PRIORITIES)
We tend to get caught up in business and personal life that we lose our eternal perspective. Can we develop exaggerated facts…???

WHAT IS THE ETERNAL TRUTH?

ONCE WE OPEN THE DOOR OF PANDORA’S BOX WE RELEASE MANY MORE ISSUES… GOD BUILDS ON A FOUNDATION OF THE FAMILY.

We have defined marriage as one man and one woman? Our courts have redefined marriage as man on man, woman on woman? Wife swapping is acceptable as long as all the parties agree? Since then INCEST has become acceptable. Group marriage, polygamy. NAMBA, SEX WITH CHILDREN. Clinton taught our teenagers that ORAL SEX is not sex?
HEDONISM, the goal of sex is pleasure you can do anything. We have reverted to PAGANISM… MANY CHURCHES ACCEPT PRE-MARRITAL SEX AS ACCEPTABLE and good. Now we have transvestites, cross dressers reading to children in our libraries?
We have young men claiming they are girls and playing girl sports and the girls cannot play or compete and win. You can pick which rest room… men in rest rooms with little girls? Teachers having sex with students?
WE DON’T NEED TO REDEFINE TRUTH… BECAUSE THE OLD WAY IS HARD AND DIFFICULT. WE CAN HAVE NO FUN… RULES, COMMANDMENTS ARE HARD… SIN IS FUN, WE CAN FIND PLEASURE IN SIN… NEVER FORGET SIN IS VERY EXPENSIVE…
1 Timothy 5:6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

Hebrews 11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

CONCLUSION: Seems many are living in moral relativism. I will do what I want to when I want to, where I want to and God will understand. Our society is trying to DESTROY THE BIBLICAL FOUNDATIONS beyond repair. WE ARE SEEING THE ENEMY SELLING DELUSIONS TO THE MODERN CHURCH. We are replacing God’s word to compromise to draw large crowds and please everyone. I have read where churches open their doors to ISLAM/ MUSLIM FOES to teach?

Convictions verses OFFENCES? My friend we must rise above being offended and demanding our own way to allow the Holy Spirit to bring REAL CONVICTION TO OUR HEARTS!
