WAITING FOR MY CHANGE… (doing nothing)

HAVE YOU EVER LOST SIGHT OF THE GOAL? WE NEED UNDERSTANDING AND WISDOM… BEYOND HERE… WHAT MAKES YOU THINK --- IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY HERE --- THAT YOU WILL BE HAPPY OVER THERE? THE ISSUE OF THE HEART IS THE HEART OF THE ISSUE.
I read where two young boys were out camping with the Boy Scouts. The troop broke up in small groups and hiked all day. Two boys were chosen to hike to the south. They ate breakfast and hiked all day. Before dark the boys panicked. They were lost. They might die in the woods? In the panic the boys decided to rest. As they sat at the foot of the tree they noticed MOSS. They said: THE MOSS GROWS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE TREE. So they started rushing back to camp. They knew they had traveled south so to return to the camp they would simply travel north. Every now and then the two boys would look for the moss and soon they were back safe in the camp.
OBSTACLES AND PROBLEMS ARE WHAT WE SEE WHEN WE LOOSE SIGHT OF THE GOAL… FEAR, DOUBT AND WORRY DISTORT REALITY. IF IT IS OVER OUR HEADS --- WE MUST BY FAITH UNDERSTAND IT IS UNDER GOD’S FEET. GOD IS IN CONTROL.
Your attitudes, thought patterns, habits, behavior, and words BUILD WHO YOU ARE. Most of us never ACT BY FAITH we REACT TO CIRCUMSTANCES and EMOTIONS… Grow up… You do not have to lose your direction.
HOW CAN WE NAVIGATE WHEN WE CAN’T UNDERSTAND WHERE WE ARE?
Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
I once read a story about a minister traveling after a crusade. A ministry friend had a beautiful twin engine aircraft. He had agreed after the services to fly the famous minister to the next appointment that night for the next appointment in the morning. It was a very dark night, no light of the moon or stars, none. The flight was wonderful. The people were visiting in the fancy aircraft. All of a sudden about mid-flight every gauge quit working and every light went dark. The pilot was visibly upset. It was so dark that the passengers could not see one another. Every instrument was not working and had the gages been working no one could see them. Fear started to grip their hearts. The pilot slowly lowered the altitude. They dropped below the clouds and it was still very dark. They were in the middle of nowhere and a street light could be seen every now and then. The Preacher started praying and asked God to help them by faith. Right in front of the twin engine plane a huge spot light and run way lights illuminated the path for the plane’s emergency landing. The runway lights guided them to safety. The plane landed and pulled up to the small tower. The two men in the tower were amazed the plane seemed to come out of nowhere? How did that plane know where the airport was? The men explained the little airport had just recently installed the new runway lights. The pilot from the plane asked the two men how did you know to turn the runway lights on as our radio was dead? The man from the tower said I am a pilot and I was telling my neighbor about the new lighting systems we had installed. So I drove him down here and was showing him how the new lighting system worked. He went on to say we don’t have the inspection and paperwork approved to use them.
God is so good. GOD HAS A PLAN. God is moving even before we understand our needs? God will answer us before we even call to him. While we are still talking about our needs, God goes ahead and answers our prayers!
GOD’S PLAN IS THAT WE OVERCOME ALL THE OBSTACLES UNTIL WE FIND THE HEART OF GOD OUR POTENTIAL!
I AM WAITING --- PASSIVE WAITING FOR PIE TO FALL OUT OF THE SKY… I AM WAITING FOR GOD TO CHANGE ME… I AM JUST WAITING UNTIL MY CHANGE COMES? BE HONEST? DO YOU NEED TO CHANGE? WHAT DO YOU NEED TO CHANGE?
It is pure insanity to think we can stay the same and keep doing things the same old same old way and expect a different outcome?
Job 14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.
Hey, my friend, ARE YOU WAITING FOR YOUR CHANGE? CHANGE ME, O, GOD? Have you ever identified what it is in your life that you need to change? BEFORE YOU CAN HAVE A PROGNOSIS to correct your problem, you must have a DIAGNOSIS of what is wrong?
WHAT IS IN YOUR HAND? MOSES WHAT IS IN YOUR HAND? MOSES KNOWS: I HAVE A ROD… JUST A COMMON EVERYDAY ROD? A ROD OR A STAFF? I HAVE A ROD?
Exodus 4:2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.
MOSES WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR HAND? A ROD! JUST A ROD…
Exodus 4:4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:
CHANGE? MAN CHANGES --- A NEW LEAF? DIET? WORDS? BEHAVIORAL CHANGES? BUT SOMEWHERE DOWN THE TRAIL OF TEARS OF LIFE WE MUST UNDERSTAND BUT GOD… THERE IS MORE… WE CAN CHANGE IF WE WANT TO…
We need a clear understanding life is more than me and mine… we establish goals and plans. BUT GOD… BUT GOD HAS A PLAN… HOW CAN WE CHANGE BY STAYING THE SAME? We need an attitude change? We must change our attitudes. We must change our behavior patterns. We must change our thinking patterns. We must change our negativism and change the words we speak. We must change our murmuring and complaining into thanksgiving and praise. We must change our judgmental, critical spirit into edification and encouragement.
GOD HAS A PLAN… GOD WILL PULL YOU THROUGH IF YOU CAN STAND THE PULL? It is up to you. WHAT DO YOU DESIRE? THE SAME? THE CHANGE?
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
God has plans for us! His plans are for us to grow and develop good things. Not just troubles and trials but to give us a future and a hope.
MOSES YOU SEEM TO MISS THE WHOLE POINT. MOSES THE ROD IS YOUR HAND IS PART OF GOD’S PLAN… THERE IS MORE THAN A ROD… THERE IS A POTENTIAL BEYOND YOUR WILDEST DREAMS…
There is more than just your MENIAL DAILY CHOICES… GOD KNOWS THE PLANS HE HAS…
Psalm 68:1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
Give God permission! Up with God! ARISE O, GOD. Help us find the GOD FACTOR!
GOD CAN DO WHAT WE CAN’T DO! BUT GOD NEEDS OUR HANDS AND MINDS TO BRING DIVINE RELEASE TO HIS WILL.
MOSES, GOD’S PLAN FOR YOU IS MUCH MORE THAN A ROD! SHEPHERD? DELIVERER?
CHANGE? MAN CHANGES --- A NEW LEAF? DIET? WORDS? BEHAVIORAL CHANGES? BUT SOMEWHERE DOWN THE TRAIL OF LIFE MOSES’ ATTITUDE WILL CHANGE, HE WILL NEVER OWN JUST A ROD --- THE ROD WILL FOREVER BE CHANGED…
Exodus 4:20 And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of God in his hand.
SEEMS THE CHURCH TODAY IS SATISFIED WITH A ROD… Can you hear God’s sweet spirit saying: I WILL TAKE A ROD AND MAKE IT INTO THE ROD OF GOD…
Exodus 17:9 And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.
Could we be handcuffing God’s will and plan for our daily plan. We maybe trying to substitute what we can do for what God can do? HAVE IT YOUR WAY? Burger King?
YOU CAN’T DO WHAT YOU CAN’T DO? BUT I KNOW JESUS HAS A BETTER PLAN… QUIT EXCUSING AND HINDERING THE MOVE OF GOD… TRADE YOU’RE A ROD FOR THE ROD OF GOD. Maybe others can’t see the difference in a rod and THE ROD OF GOD… BUT GOD KNOWS AND YOU WILL KNOW.
CONCLUSION: Have you ever asked God to run an x-ray, MRI, or a Cat Scan… many do not want to know what is wrong or what is lacking in their spiritual life. I have a serious question my friend: HOW CAN YOU CORRECT WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW?
Psalm 119:33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.
Psalm 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
There are several people in life I just don’t understand their vision… One fellow must have never diagnosed his problem. He would get beat up? Lose his woman? And be hopeless? Then in his brokenness he would say:
I’VE HAD ALL I CAN STAND, AND I CAN’T STANDS NO MORE! Poor Popeye could never reach his potential because he was beat up all the time. Are you beat up? Are you staying the same?
DO YOU NOT LIKE WHAT YOU ARE GETTING? GET UP, CHANGE WHAT YOU ARE GIVING… GRAB THE SPINACH! WHY WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE DEFEATED, EAT SOME SPINACH AT EVERY MEAL.
Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Learn the beauty of giving away your life; and you will be surprised as you start reaching your potential. You will find the real joy of life will be given back to you. God will give life back with a double bonus and a double blessing. Love begets love and generosity begets generosity.
Will you trade A ROD for THE ROD OF GOD… ARISE, GOD’S POTENTIAL… GET UP! TRY AGAIN! GIVE MORE! DO MORE! CHANGE YOUR FAMILY! CHANGE YOUR CHURCH! BE FAITHFUL AND GIVE GOD PERMISSION TO PUT THE ROD OF GOD IN YOUR HAND!
