FEAR! WEARING AWAY, LOSE HEART
MINIMIZE FEAR, MAXIMIZE JOY
By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com
I have a styrofoam glass from McDonalds. I took a small toothpick and poked a few small holes in the bottom. I ask someone to go get me a glass of water.
Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
LOSE HEART:
• to feel demoralized or pessimistic about something,
• to lose hope, to lose confidence, , to lose hope,
• to become discouraged, guard your heart. If you lose heart you probably start feeling you are a loser.
• You may even think why try? You will never succeed at anything. You have tried and tried and never received any trophies.

IS THE CHURCH READY? ARE YOU READY?? BE HONEST HOW PREPARED ARE OUR FAMILIES, OUR CHURCHES, AND WE AS INDIVIDUALS THE TERRIBLE BATTLES AHEAD?
Jeremiah looked down the scope of time and saw a terrible day coming. Jeremiah’s concern was we have not had great success fighting the little average daily enemies, what are we going to do when THE HORSES COME… White, red, black, pale?
Jeremiah 12:5 If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustest, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?
JESUS EXPECTS US TO BE READY? HIS MERCY WILL LIMIT, BUT IT WILL BE DIFFICULT AT BEST.
Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
THERE APPEARS A WEAKNESS THAT WILL BECOME A NORM OF THE AVERAGE CHRISTIAN.
TEXT: Proverbs 24:10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. 6
HARD? WHEN LIFE IS CRUSHING WE MUST MINIMIZE THE FEAR AND PAIN AND MAXIMIZE JOY, PEACE AND HOPE… LIFE HAS A WAY OF CRUSHING ALL DREAMS…
I was in a lab and the teacher held up a piece of a healthy lung. It was soft, pliable and pink. The professor slammed it on the floor. SPLAT. Next the professor pulled out a black glob of a piece of another lung. He explained this piece of lung came out of a heavy smoker. This person had smoked since childhood, 40+ years. The day after day, month after month of the smoking took a great toll on the pink, pliable lung. The lung had become like LEATHER. Its color was black. After years of smoking the lungs became HARD! Not only was in difficult for oxygen to enter, the real killer is the dirty air, carbon monoxide cannot escape the body… THE MAN DIED…
Romans 2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
You can be baptized until every fish in the river knows your first name. You can move into the church for a permanent dwelling. You can study the Bible until you can quote and impress everyone. You can give 30% of your income and STILL NOT KNOW THE FULLNESS OF GOD… A HARD HEART OF FEAR WILL LEAD TO SPIRITUAL DEATH.
GET READY FOR THE BATTLE OF THE HARD HEART, BE READY… WE DO NOT KNOW THE TIME OR THE DAY. NOT ONLY GET YOU READY… GET THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS READY.
Isaiah 35:3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
Hebrews 12:12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; 13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. 14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: 15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
DO WE FEAR GOD? HEED THE WARNING, SOUND THE TRUMPET… WEARINESS IS COMING…
Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
WE HAVE NO NEED OF FEAR IF WE ARE READY… PREPARED, TRAINED, AND TRUST GOD… DON’T LOSE HEART! NEVER LOSE HOPE! NEVER LOSE YOUR JOY… REFUSE TO BE WORN AWAY!
Aramaic Bible in Plain English says:
2 Corinthians 4:16 Because of this, it is not tiresome to us, for even if our external person is being destroyed, in the other hand, that which is from within is renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:16 (NASB) Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:16 (NLT) That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.
2 Corinthians 4:16 (MSG) So we're not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace.
CONCLUSION: DOES LIFE DRAIN YOU? EVER HAVE A BUCKET WITH A HOLE IN THE BOTTOM? BE READY! EXPECT THE SEASONS OF TESTING… AVOID WEARINESS AT ALL COST. We cannot play games with the spirit of discouragement. The heart is considered the seed bed of our emotions.

Isaiah 40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Isaiah 40:29 (MSG) He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts.
Isaiah 40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
