SOLOMON LEARNED A LESSON… AND HE WANTS TO TEACH THE LESSON TO US…
2 Chronicles 6:1 (NIV) Then Solomon said, "The LORD has said that he would dwell in a dark cloud;
2 Chronicles 6:1 (NLT) Then Solomon prayed, “O LORD, you have said that you would live in a thick cloud of darkness.
The Lord said HE WOULD HANG THERE ON A DARK DAY! What a good God we serve. Friends and family sometimes never understand and darkness seems to smother our light. God dwells with us in the darkness. I can’t do it, I might just quit. I am so weak. My pain and hurt seem so dark. We have limited vision because of the darkness. God can reach out of heaven’s light into your dark cloud. I can’t do it, God says I will step in the gap. God is a big God and His light reaches into our dark clouds.
Life is hard but God is good. Life on its best days can still be hard and difficult. We will still praise God even in the dark clouds are pressing. (Billy L. Meeks, Jr.)
LET US CONSIDER PERSPECTIVE AND TRUTH. DOES YOUR PERSONAL TRUTH ALIGN WITH GOD’S TRUTH?
WHAT IS TRUTH? IS THERE AN ABSOLUTE TRUTH? IS TRUTH SITUATIONAL? Can the situation define truth? I ask what is a “WORM’S VIEW?” I AM WEAK IS SO VERY TRUE… BUT NEVER FORGET WHO IS RIDING IN THE DARK CLOUDS WITH US… I am weak, BUT He is strong.
I recently saw a picture. A TURTLE is ever so slowly crawling along a dusty road. There is a frog looking forward, riding on the turtle’s shell. The frog seems so bored going so slow. Plastered on the frog’s head is a SNAIL. The snail seems to be really afraid as his ride going so fast. Wow, there is a hidden lesson here?
NOT MY WEAKNESS… BUT… WE NEED A NEW MODEL AND A NEW DREAM… WELL, THIS IS BETTER THAN THAT…
I guess we live and learn. A baby lays and kicks their arms and legs, all of a sudden the arms swing by the baby’s visual field and the movement frightens the baby. Soon the baby learns, hey that is me? The baby learns to roll over and the adults applaud the massive new movement. Wow! That is better than this. Sometime later the baby starts crawling and the adults brag and brag. Wow! As the baby crawls around the baby watches the adults model before them. The adults are walking. Well, that walking sure is BETTER than this crawling. The baby starts imitating the adults and tries to stand up. Wow, this standing thing is better than that crawling. After pulling up, and falling the baby takes a few steps and mommy and daddy are so proud! Wow, this is better than that! The next thing you know baby quits crawling and starts walking. Sure the baby falls a lot but baby gets more and more stable, and the walking sure beats the crawling. Wow, this walking is better than crawling. Baby watches other kids. The baby sees a NEW MODEL, it is called running. Wow, that is faster and better. This is better than walking.
Daddy comes in with a tricycle. Those wheels are frightening but they are better than running. With great joy the child rides the trike. Wait, a new model is before the eyes, a bright red bicycle that Santa left. This bike is sure better than that tricycle. That child rides the bike and can really speed around. This is better than that! One day while sitting on the bike at the end of the driveway a brand new MUSTANG goes speeding by… The teen is now ashamed to ride his bicycle to his girlfriend’s house. He hides it in those bushes and dreams of the MUSTANG. That is sure better than this… Well you get the story… LIFE IS GOOD WHEN WE SEE MODELS THAT DEMONSTRATE BETTER, OR AS I SAY GOODER.
THERE IS A TERRIBLE TRAP IN LIFE… THE REAL BATTLE WE FACE IS SIMPLE, WILL I STAY HERE AND KEEP DOING THE SAME OLD SAME OLD? OR WILL I SET A HIGHER STANDARD AND PRESS FORWARD. PERHAPS LITTLE EFFORT IS DAMMING OUR PERSONAL LIFE?
It may be pure insanity to keep doing things the same old way and expect a different outcome. Can we see how dangerous it is to stop learning and growing to advance luke-warmness.
Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
To graduate kindergarten, are we finished? No, this will qualify for the first grade. Then after years of lessons and testing, we walk across the stage and earn an eight grade diploma. Are we finished? No, this will take us to high school. Are we finished? No, after many hard lessons and dreaded testing we again walk across the stage and receive our high school diploma. Mom and Dad are so proud. Are we finished? No, we leave home and go to college. Are we finished? Now, I can BE THE BOSS! No, a job, a wife, kids… HOPEFULLY WE WILL CONTINUE GROWING AND LEARNING AND EXERTING EFFORT AND APPLYING OURSELVES TO BE BETTER… HEY, THIS IS BETTER THAN THAT? Are we going for the GOLD or the GOAL, THE MARK OF THE HIGH CALLING? ARE YOU FINISHED?
A GOOD TRAP HAS TO HAVE SEVERAL ELEMENTS.
1. LURE, DESIRABLE BAIT. 2. HIDDEN PURPOSE, UNAWARE.
3. AN ELEMENT OF SUDDENNESS, 4. HAS THE POWER TO HOLD IN ONE PLACE.
5. SPRING, SUDDEN. 6. ABILITY TO HOLD, NO ESCAPE, HINDER
WE NEED TO REMEMBER AND RECALL WHO WE REALLY ARE…YES, I AM WEAK… BUT…
DO WE ALLOW OUR WEAKNESSES AND A SPIRIT OF TIRENESS and the spirit of sameness to gain CONTROL and hinder the blessings?
Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong. They are WEAK BUT HE IS STRONG.
The problem and the giant before is never larger than the GOD WHO CALLED YOU!
IT APPEARS THAT WE FOCUS ON OUR WEAKNESSES RATHER THAN THE OPPORTUNITY OF GROWTH THIS PROBLEM GIANT CAN RELEASE.
I HAVE A MESSAGE FROM GOD FOR YOU MICAH… THESE MESSAGE IS FOR EVERY BELIEVER…
I MAY NOT UNDERSTAND WHY I AM HERE? I MAY NOT UNDERSTAND WHERE I AM? I MAY NOT UNDERSTAND THE PLAN OF GOD… THERE ARE DARK CLOUDS AND DESTRUCTIVE STORMS TRYING TO SINK OUR BOAT. THIS DARK VALLEY COULD BE OUR DEATH…
Get up Micah, get ready… GOD’S PLAN
Micah 2:10 Arise ye, and depart;
NEVER FORGET WHERE WE HAVE BEEN, NEVER FORGET IT IS NOT OUR WEAKNESSES BUT HIS STRENGTH. GET UP ABRAHAM… GOD’S PLAN IS A STEPPING STONE. WHILE OTHERS WILL STUMBLE AND DIE… GOD PLAN IS ADVANCE AND GROW.
We must learn to press on, press forward. ARE WE GETTING PREPARED TO IMPROVE AND RECEIVE THE BLESSINGS OF GOD? Will we sit here a little longer? GET UP! Prepare, arise!
ABRAM GET READY. IT IS YOU OR YOUR WEAKNESSES NOR YOUR STRENGTH. GOD SAYS: I NEED YOU TO BECOME ABRAHAM… GET READY… PREPARE FOR GOD’S PLAN.
It is never enough just to hear God. By faith and then obedience God was sitting Abram apart for a blessing. Get up, boy. Get out. Leave it all. ABRAHAM HAD TO LEARN TO TRUST GOD. WHY? Why do I have to leave?
Abraham never understood the attitudes of those around him could HINDER the blessing? By staying where he was and not preparing Abraham’s faith would be aborted! We are GOD CALLED IGNITERS!
Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
GOD’S PLAN IS BEFORE US … IF WE PREPARE TO RECEIVE AND GET AWAY FROM THE SIN AND WEIGHTS THAT SO EASILY BESET US… GOD’S BLESSINGS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH OUR WEAKNESSES, GOD’S PLAN IS RELEASE IN HIS TIME BY HIS POWER. Abram will lose his name and his status to gain THE NAME FATHER OF THE FAITHFUL. To change from ABRAM TO ABRAHAM REQUIRE REACHING INTO THE REALM OF THE INVISIBLE… Will we prepare our hearts to accept God’s plan?
Genesis 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
Genesis 17:1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, GOD showed up and said to him, "I am The Strong God, live entirely before me, live to the hilt!
WILL I PREPARE FOR THE BLESSINGS? WILL WE BE LEAD TO GET PREPARED FOR THE SEASON OF BLESSING? THIS COULD BE A STUMBLING BLOCK IN MY WEAKNESSES? OR IS THIS A STEPPING STONE TO PREPARE?
1 Peter 2:8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
David face a BIG ANGRY BEAR? WHY? This test was preparational for a promotion! David faced a strong lion attacking his flock. WHY? God’s grace was preparing this young man for greater grace. STEPPING STONES! THE TRAP OF 40 DAYS, TWICE A DAY THAT ROOTED THE NEGATIVE MESSAGE OF WORRY AND FEAR WAS BEFORE ALL OF ISRAEL. The mighty army of God was brought to a STUMBLING BLOCK. BUT GOLIATH WAS A STEPPING STONE TO A PROMOTION!
CAN WE HEAR THE VOICE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS, THAT HAS AN IMPERATIVE COMMAND, A DIVINE ORDER SAYING GET PREPARED… GOD IS PREPARING A WAY THROUGH THE WILDERNESS. We know this journey goes THROUGH HOT, DRY DESERTS. THIS PATH LEADS THROUGH DARK WILDERNESSES AND EVEN DARKER STORMS.
LET US TRUST GOD AND BELIEVE HIS PLAN. Why give credence to the contrary winds? God has a plan for every valley. GOD HAS A PLAN for every mountain and every crooked place… DID YOU KNOW GOD HAS A PLAN FOR EVERY ROUGH PLACE.
Isaiah 40:4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
GOD HELP US TO NEVER FORGET ON OUR BEST DAYS WE STILL NEED YOU AND THE HOLY SPIRITAS DESPERATELY AS I DO ON MY WORSE DAYS.
I am weak but Thou art strong, Jesus keep me from all wrong.
I’ll be satisfied as long as long, as I walk let mw walk close to Thee.
Just a closer walk with Thee, granted Jesus, is my plea,
Daily walking close to Thee, let it be dear Lord let it be
Through this world of toil and snares, if I falter Lord who cares?

Romans 8:5 (MSG) Those who think they can do it on their own end up obsessed with measuring their own moral muscle but never get around to exercising it in real life. Those who trust God's action in them find that God's Spirit is in them—living and breathing God!
CONCLUSION: QUIT TALKING ABOUT YOUR WEAKNESSES AND HOW TIRED YOU ARE. Feast on the word of God. Let God do His stuff. PREPARE FOR GOD TO ARISE, BUT YOU HAVE TO GET UP AND PUT FORTH AN HONEST EFFORT…
